Omg seriously Hugh ?! Wow that's crazy haha bless them do they forget ? Grin . At least they are nice . I think the ones that aren't are usually the smother mothers. I know that no one is good enough for their son in their eyes lol .

Carolann8584 · 09/08/2017 16:12

Hat off to you Hugh!

Glad you got away carol.

Don't get me started on in laws.... mine are totally weird. Don't have any social skills, don't know how to hold a proper conversation and the one that does is super fake. They expect a lot from dh and I, and I used to get upset with their insensitive remarks etc but since having ds I sort of just don't give a toss. Being a mum has given me this inner strength. I think after a tough few years with my health my self esteem took a bashing and I lost confidence in myself. Not helped by deciding to start a family (something positive) which I spent ages antagonising over , and then suffering from miscarriages. But he's here now and the most precious thing in the whole wide world Smile

Wow @hugh at baby and 2&3

Sadly no inlaws here and my mummy died 3yrs ago so only my dad as Grandad - know he finds it hard without my mum. Was their dream to be gp's

NameChange30 · 09/08/2017 22:17

Sorry to that Blondes Flowers
I'm sure your dad is a wonderful grandad x

purpleviolet1 · 09/08/2017 22:33

I only had my grandad growing up, DF parents passed when he was young and DMs DM wasn't around. My grandad was the best and I didn't miss out on not having more GPs

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/08/2017 23:02

He tries his best. Now dd is getting bigger think he's more confident in holding her

See him most weeks for lunch. Seeing him tomorrow and dd can have her veggies. She's loving them 😇😇

MotherofA · 09/08/2017 23:32

Hugh I am in awe of you getting all the kiddies out like that seriously ! Amazing !

Purple glad you are feeling better since having lo. I definitely think that having a baby gives a new found strength and confidence !

Blondes sorry to hear that ! FlowersFlowers

MotherofA · 09/08/2017 23:34

Also , DD is also loving the veggies ! I made potato , carrot , broccoli and cauliflower tonight and she loved it ! She had definitely been off with her teeth last night and today though bless her and fell asleep in her bouncer before bedtime which is unusual .

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/08/2017 04:35

Dd seems to prefer veggies to breakie and porridge

Wonder if should put a cube of sweet potato in it 😂😂

Dd is def more tired at mo. Maybe it's hard work eating and digesting purée?

Carolann8584 · 10/08/2017 07:25

Morning all. DD went back to newborn sleeping and feeding last night Sad

MotherofA · 10/08/2017 08:25

Oh nooooo Carol ! Hope you don't feel too tired x

Carolann8584 · 10/08/2017 09:04

Really takes it out of you when you get use to only getting up once. DD had 5 feeds in 12 hours

7pm 6oz
11pm 6oz
2:30am 3oz
4am 3oz
7am 3oz

Yesterday she was showing a lot of teething signs. Had to put gel on before each feed.

MotherofA · 10/08/2017 09:58

Wow that's a long night ! Maybe time for food ?
Ours was 12.30 and 6 so not as bad as it has been recently but I feel exhausted today .

DS has had several nights lately when he's woken up a few times (rather than usual one). Don't know what the cause is - could be the cold he's had lately or just sleep regression, maybe - but I'm exhausted! Sad

Carolann8584 · 10/08/2017 12:40

Not sure if it's because of jabs. She has been chewing her fingers at every opportunity or her tongue.

Am thinking of putting her afternoon feeds up to 7oz. She tends to have the whole feed mid afternoon and bedtime.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/08/2017 22:11

Ouch @Carolann 😢😢💐💐💐

That's a bad night. I R.E.M. Dd woke 2/3 for a feed after jabs and had temp for two nights then back to normal

Hope tonight isn't bad

Maybe worth thinking about weaning if milk isn't enough?

MotherofA · 10/08/2017 22:30

Just looked on my app because I don't remember a thing nowadays . DD is getting through 20 plus oz milk and around 10-15 oz of food per 24 hours ! Wow ! She's still petite unbelievably !
Good luck for tonight all . My DD has already woken once for 5 oz 🤔😂
