munz · 18/09/2007 21:07

hiya all, quick stop in form me today.

thanks to all of you who supported me over hte last week. XH is still being a nob really - you'd think after now nearly 3 weeks of not seeing his DS he'd be on the phone wouldn't you?? but no what do I get 'i'm going out with my mates' or I can't look after him in the last 3 weeks he's seen him for 1 afternoon, about 6 hours another day and 2 phone calls) am I expecting a little much for him to ring me to ask how his son is every 3 days or so? is it too much to expect him to want to spend time with his son - who at the mo doesn't seem to remember he has a daddy

anyhow rant over.

re highchair - agree with friz - I win the war and pick my figths with DS - our current one is no highchair/booster just a plain seat - getting him to sit there thou till he's finished completely is a bit of a challenge.

er we're a way off of potty training yet - mum's determined he should be trained got him the potty - then he poo'ed on her £2500 beige carpet! lol. (twice) needless to say she's now saying he's not ready and to wait - we're waiting till next summer now! lol.

anyhow hope you're all ok - I really will keep up one day with you girls! lol. have been feeling antisocial.

Lizzylou · 18/09/2007 21:14

HI all

Sorry have not been very good at keeping up, feel a bit like am intruding when I do go to come on here.

Munz, hope you are OK, your little boy is very lucky to have such a strong Mommy.

Ben is doing great, was late at walking (15mths) whereas his big brother was 11mths but has more than made up for it since and chatters non-stop (whereas Harry was very quiet until he was 2 and he got a little brother so had to fight for attention ). They get on great for the most part and are very funny together.

Hope all are well xxx

laundrylover · 19/09/2007 09:43

Lizzie, you are not intruding you wally (came over all 1980s there!!) - it's nice to have new people pop by as it's only usually the three of us! Nice to hear news of your boys.

Munz, same to you - keep in touch and as Lizzie says you're doing really well. at the poo on the carpet.at XH for being so crap.

Friz, ooooh you got the keys!!!!

Kiah still in highchair and is staying there.

Did my first wet walk to school this morning - the three girls looked really sweet in their rain coats and wellies.

Frizbe · 19/09/2007 21:41

Hi lizzylou your never intruding, the more the merrier on here!

Munz {{{Hugs}}} hon, your doing great, just so long as your there for ds, he'll do just fine, I'm sure your dh will get his act together soon, but if he doesn't just remember that your ds will do just fine with you it's your dh whose loosing out (the prat) We kind of have it the other way around here, with dh wanting more access than he used to get initially! although now that ss is old enough to say what he wants to do he has the choice. I guess what I'm trying to say is, your ds will know and remember in the long run whose been looking out for and after him and that's what counts.

LL yep we got the keys finally this afternoon now a hectic week or two of fitting and sorting out just a shame that its taken so long this week that dh is back at work tomorrow, booo....am praying for him to be rained off on friday, so we can double check the measurements and go shopping for fittings!

Astrophe · 19/09/2007 22:48

Never, ever, ever, ever, EVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVEREVER EVEEEERRRRR have anything to do with TalkTalk if you can help it. They are so crap crap crappy crapitty crap. We are now, finally, back online. With Tiscali. NOT TalkTalk.

Evening ladies

Astro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wahay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

laundrylover · 20/09/2007 10:34

OK I've calmed down now!

Welcome back woman - tell us how you, the family and the new house are....we are all plodding on apart from Munz who is being superwoman.

Munz, I wanted to say that my friend has recently become a Valerie Singlemum with her 9 month old daughter. She has moved out into a house of her own and is doing great. Her XP is being a nob, much like yours, but she is managing to rise above it and stick to the rules. Basically he has to change and Mum and child set the rules and routine as that is what is important in the long run. As Friz says, XH will hopefully get his act together but whatever happens J is with you and you are doing a fab job - keep it up.

Astrophe · 20/09/2007 14:27

thanks for the great welcome back LL! I have MISSED you guys!!! (Although have found that I had a fair bit more time up my sleeve of an evening, sans internet, and so will be a bit more scarce than I once was...hmmm...so she says )

I am fine, just had my mum here for 2 weeks and she left on sunday - probably wont see her again until we go back, so over a year! Still plodding along with gym and weight loss - have lost 7 kg now...so I'm getting there slowly. Got 2 new low fat cook books for my b'day last week, so a bit of new inspirartion. PND wise I am going pretty well.

DH is ok, still a grumpy git some of the time, and a lovey fun dad and dh other times - you know how it is. He really loses the plot with the kids sometimes and I think he might be depressed (he is pretty lonely here - no 'soul mate' male friends like he has in Aus).

DD is at nursery 2 full and one half day, nd is NOT a happy camper...she is ok once there (usualy) but very tearful when I leave here, which I a finding hard. She is also very tired, so we are having some show stoppng tantrums - screaming, flailing, flinging her body about, tears, floppiness...the works.

DS is learning some of his sisters tricks - had a few tanties, although they are minor compared to DDs! He is very clingy at the moment and wants nothing more than to sit on my lap and be read to, which cues a jealousy tantrum from DD...ah the joys!

I am still BFing morning and night, having just dropped the nap time day feed. I can't quite remember why I dropped it actually, as it now takes me about 30 mins to get him down for a nap.

He is mostly going without a nappy at home, and is using the potty about 60% of the time, and the floor the other 40% Not too bad!

Lots of words and new games - Its a fun stage I think! Hopefully once DD is more settled at nursery things will settle generally as well.

So how are all of you? Summaries please, I can't read back for 4 months!!! How were your summers? How are your little ones? LL, how is your weight loss going?

Whats going on with Munz!? Hope its not what it seems from your post LL...

DS awake...

Astrophe · 20/09/2007 14:28

oh, ps, new house is FAB...big garden and laminate floors which is why I'm not fussed about the 40%!

laundrylover · 20/09/2007 14:43

Astro, yes it is what you think with Munz but she is doing really well. She had a thread going on it all but not sure if it's been deleted.

Thanks for the update! Kiah is now at nursery 2 days but my friend takes and collects her which is fab. She is loving it anyway so no tears etc. Tilly is at pre-school every morning and then walks up to lunch club and a playgroup session Tues, Weds, Thurs. Two mornings a week I have two extra preschool madams arrive for an hour before we all walk in together so feel a bit like a mother of many.

Kiah's favourite words this week are 'no' and 'don't like it'!!! We are off potty training since holidays and back onto it next week. Both girls are staying with BIL and SIL for two nights this weekend whilst DP and I go to Newcastle for a shagathon for his 40th. I didn't think they needed the extra stress of wee everywhere really.

Well done on the weight loss (I just used an online calculator and that's well over a stone!!!). I've lost just over 3 stone....handy conversion thing says 20 kgs!!!

Well I have a bid to finish for the yoof of Bradford so better get on as it has to be sent this afternoon....

Frizbe · 20/09/2007 21:42

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Astro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you doing good hon, and you've finally found us all again

LL have a great weekend hon

Here, cripes, erm quick summary.....LARP has gone well this summer and dh and I are opening a Comic, Games and Collectables shop in Ripley very shortly, we got the keys yesterday so now its the job of fitting it all out and getting opened up! had a mad day of changing utilities today and getting mesured up for fittings, fixtures and shutters! chasing grants etc (oh did ya know we alledgedly live in one of Derbyshire's richer areas with the least grants like you can get grants for security in Derbyshire Dales (matlock, bakewell etc), but not here v.annoyed re that, like either of those places isn't richer than here, grumble.....you'll have to come up for the opening!

UniSarah · 20/09/2007 22:36

Hiya from Devon Astro. its one of boys favourite greetings along with woof woof.
Summers been and gone, did lots of days out at teh end of it, boy likes teh beach but not the sea, slides and balls but not soft play areas. I'm raining to become a breast feeding peer suporter so boy is in childcare one morning a week during that and he hated it last week, we shall see how it goes tomoz.
Weightlose ??? whats all that about. I'm still cycling a few times a week, running once and just started yoga once a week again. No idea about wieght but I feel moderatly fit and enjoy the exercise.
1st pooh on pottty today at nappy less time in teh morning. we have had a few on teh floor previously tho! nice.

Hurrah for potty poo Uni its great when they get it in

Been to Ikea with the mob here today, kinda stuck waiting on other people at the mo re the shop stuff, fittings, signs etc, so fairly slow day on that front, hopefully monday it'll rain, so dh gets the day off and we can get the shop fittings sorted out, so they can attach them!

UniSarah · 21/09/2007 20:48

wee on floor today, so normal service has been resumed :-) He survived 2 hours in chrech, hurrah. wasn;t very happy about it and had a damp pair of trews and vest by teh end as staff member who changed him hadn't put the wrap back on his nappy- I guess shes used to dizzies or AIOs. BUt all remedyable with teh spare clothes I cart about.
Munz, is it S'hampton you have moved to? I'm going to be in S'ton playing unicycle hockey on sat 29th if you want to come and see a very silly game taken seriously.

LL did you have a fantastic time?

UniSarah · 25/09/2007 21:48

Sounds like a lot of work Friz good luck. Was it you who sent us twinkle star? if so boy is very keen on it at the mo and is giving it sunch a beating that its gone all randonm and sings all its own when no one even near it, V odd at 2am.
Otters, butterflys and steam trains today on our day out with daddy ( who is using up l eave before end of month) boy was most taken by teh trains and spent much of teh day saying choo choo as he ran around teh otter centre walk ways. hes was in awe of teh train when he saw it close up and jumped a mile when the driver blew teh whistle for him.

OP posts:
Frizbe · 26/09/2007 09:34

trains are great for little ones, dd2 loves them too grandad lives near a line, so when they go to the park with him they get to see them too we also have an old steam line at the other side of our town (populated by the usual enthusiasts) they do Thomas days and the like, which are good fun, even if dd1 has always been totally impatient and has never actually waited in line long enough to get on Thomas himself, but we have been on assorted 'friends' of Thomas

dd2 is now sat on my knee going tic tic tic dear at her nightgarden comic! no idea what she means shes looking at upsy daisy

Frizbe · 26/09/2007 09:34

oh yes think we are responsible for the star....

laundrylover · 26/09/2007 11:49

Hello there!

We had a great weekend away thanks - too much fatty food and alcohol (hotel had a free bar) but did manage to burn off some calories too! Kids were fine at BILs but Kiah was ready for HUGE bfeed when we got back.

Had some good news last week as my sis is preggers again - she thinks she conceived on the due date for Alice, the baby who she lost. We are all keeping our fingers crossed for her.

Friz, what's the latest on your cousin BTW?

Anyway, then I got some bad news too as my friend and work colleague got diagnosed with breast cancer on Weds. She is having an operation today so will know more later in the week about her treatment etc. She lives in Brighton so i feel very far away and can't help with her kids etc. but have taken over all our work so she doesn't have to worry about that at least.

So am bogged down in funding bids as a major trust closes for review on Monday and lots of our clients are trying to get bids in at the last minute... better get back in work mode!

DavidTennantsMistress · 26/09/2007 12:11

uni - how very dare you in deed! lol. no i'm from portsmouth & are there. (big rivals etc anyhow) lol.

things are going on in the back grounbd here. Twat head has been reading my MN posts so I have changed names yet again but this is now me- I was going to have twatheadswife but thought he'd recognise that! lol.

he's been texting some other little bitch and it all blew up over the w/e - me threatening to stop contact etc etc etc his mums being a 2 faced cow basically, all they're intrested in is getting me out of the picture ASAP and keeping DS - they can fuck off cos they ain't getting my boy! either way all she keeps saying to me is can we still see ds. have emailed her to say yes - but also emailed H to say one toe out of line and they won't see him (are alkis and have screwed H up so i'll be damned if any of them H included is going to screw my little boy up the way H has been)

anyhow rant over!

agree train sets are fab! DS has one. and also a little blue dolllys pram - he think's is fantastic- literally!

anyhow will come on again now i've found you again!

Frizbe · 26/09/2007 18:31

{{{Hugs}}} DTM you've got it all going on, so is the 'little bitch' the cause of all this do you think? like the new name btw, wonder why he's been reading your posts, when he's kicked you out of his life?

LL for friend, hope she's fixed asap and its fairly early stages that its been caught in.
Glad you had a great weekend, which hotel for free bar?? mememememememgogogogogogogo!

DavidTennantsMistress · 26/09/2007 19:24

no idea tbh althou the messages said 'are you single' followed by oh sorry then more folled after - ie come on msn do you ahve pics how old r u etc etc.

MIL sees no probs with this - FFS she also saw no prob with the fucking used condom I found and only just told her about (found it 4 years ago mind) she said she'd sort the bitch out - althou tbh I think she only said that when I told her that if they wanted to see DS (any of them) then take me to court. tbh she will have found out her rights before all this happened when H and will know as grandparents she basically has none.

watch this space for more tbh.

Frizbe · 26/09/2007 21:54

well good that it sounds like afterwards then.....might make you feel remotely better? stick with maintaining the moral highground girl, your doing good, be nice to his parents, you'll be surprised how it'll help out in the long run (dh's ex wife's mum is great with my dh and our new kids, it all helps on those nice extended birthday situations in face, lol at this, but my dh said at ss's last birthday that his ex fil had never been so nice to him!)
