Got our last Nature walk this morning in the woods, i shall really miss them on thursday mornings, and am definitely going to book up for the next batch, they are fab.

both kids slept in till 7am! Woo Hoo! Apart from DS1 waking up at 5.30am cos he had wet the bed (rare!) he then went back to sleep, hurray! I think it's cos he can now play rough and tumble in the back garden with Daddy till 7pm now that the evenings are lighter, god I love Summer. he was shattered when he went to bed.

HC, the Apprentice is great, did you enjoy it? Aren't they all a bunch of jumped up w*nkers?? And bo*ocks to lines, dunt cer if I carnt spull

well I should have known I'd be found out !!! That was some detective work ! I was at one point called Tinkersbelles... various name changes along the way
All of those photos are absolutely gorgeous. Wish I knew how to put them on myself .
DD has now finally mastered crawling forwards as well as back. I too have had to move changing mat onto floor as she just rolls continuously now and is off like a rocket !
New trick this week is to stand up on the sofa and wallk around it (its a corner one) holding the back. So funny, she grins her head off then gets carried away, lets go and tumbles !!!!
Better dash, she's prowling around near the tv now !!!!!

sohappyicouldcry · 29/03/2007 20:32

I'm back !!

Is everyone watching something good on tv or something ?? Where are you all ???

Feeling lonely !

MaeWest · 29/03/2007 20:41

Hey I'm here too . DH came home from work poorly sick and went straight to bed and crashed out . Meant I had to do bathtime, which felt a bit weird, and am sure DS had that 'Daddy doesn't do it that way...' look in his eye. Will mix myself a large G&T and watch House in a bit I think.

I'm so knackered I can't function so off up to bed now. Poor Sophie coughing, sneezing and eyes all gunged up so think I'm in for a rough night.

Catch up tomorrow with you all as swim class will be off for us.

hey ladies-

aww i hope everyone who is feeling poorly or whose babies are porrly get better soon!

junior is on the roll now, crawling all over the flat and touching everything! the dvds end up all over the floor, tissue torn up everywhere and he loves the oven! ahhhh he like to hold on to the bar and jump up and down to music! and dd tells him off all the time, its so funny when she goes juneeeor, come here!

theres nothing on telly tonight! and no more ER till middle of april!

kbaby · 29/03/2007 22:20

DS has finally figured out he can move! Hes only got as far as leaning over on one leg and almost getting on a hands and knee position. Still prefers sitting there while I fetch everything for him though. Hes also started moving around in a circle on his tummy. I guess its some progress. Hell is 8 months on Tuesday I just can?t believe how quickly time is going by.
I am fed up with cooking batches of meals for DS so I spent £4 on some babylicious food for him which he has refused to eat today. He will only eat home made food which is all very good but I can only cook 3 different meals a week and so the poor thing has to have at least 2 of them every day at least the odd jar would offer him some variety and give me a break. Blos- I can recommend the AK plaice and orange, mince and Swede, Marconi cheese and Leek and potato.
Impy ? They do get on really well and his face lights up whenever he sees her. It?s taken a while though as he hated her when he was 1st born and would cry if she came near. She has a habit of being a bit overpowering and still annoys him occasionally. She thinks she has to share everything with him. Last week I found him eating a marshmallow which she had given him.
Ceebee- lovely pics. Was DH watching the rugby by chance?
Wallace- the loch looks beautiful, as does Leo of course.
Bloss- Was his crying that bad?? Im still deliberating what to do with DS lack of sleep. Naps are fine, hell fall asleep on his own but bed time is a nightmare. Last night he woke at 10pm and stayed that way until 1.20am even milk, in bed with me and cuddling weren?t enough to tempt him back to sleep. In the end Medised did the trick (bad mummy icon here) your boys look fab, we have the same triangle toy thingy
Maewest- great pics. I always forget to take my camera out with us and if were in the house and I leave DS to go and get it he cries so I can?t take the picture.

Here some of DD who is always ready for a picture the poser

in the snow
not sure what she is doing

soph28 · 29/03/2007 22:29

HOW can I have missed SO much? I'm on here all the time and I never see this thread.

All your pics are so cute.

So am I the only one who has a baby who's not moving?
Chloe only started sitting on her own last week and she still won't roll over!

The only things I can get her to eat are fruity baby breakfast cereal and minging jars of cauliflower cheese!!! She won't eat homemade anything and doesn't seem to like fruit or yogurt. I also basically have to starve her to get her to eat anything.

i.e. breakfast at 8am after going 13-14 hours from last bottle (6oz)
she will eat a couple ounces of cereal followed by 6oz milk.

nothing else till lunch at 11.30am- a 1/2 small jar cauliflower cheese, try some finger foods but all get thrown on floor.
4-5 oz milk.

6oz milk mid afternoon

Tea at 5ish but usually eats nothing
last bottle between 6 and 7pm.

Does this sound like anyone else's baby?

Am not worried, she is thriving. Just get bored of her not eating anything!! I am a bad mum

sohappyicouldcry · 29/03/2007 22:41

I'm sure you're not a bad mum at all, she's just getting used to everything ! My DD absolutely adores Cauliflower cheese, parsnip and leeky stuff. (Must admit, quite like her eating things like that as stains are easier to get out than tomato or carroty stuff !!! ).

Don't worry too much about them not being particularly mobile yet... it's an absolute nightmare ! They are into everything. You can't leave anything anywhere as they make their way over faster than you could ever imagine !!

Really need to wash up now that she's gone to bed, signing off now !!

Love to all xx

IamBlossom · 30/03/2007 08:30

KBaby, great to hear from you, and hi Soph! KBaby, your DD is gorge, she looks like a right pickle!! Thanks for those AK tips, I will make them up on Sunday (for "I will make them up" read "I will tell Dh to make them up" ) Toby refuses all jars now except pudds. At least Avanana (new name for Bananacado)is fairly portable...

Afternoon ladies,

Sorry to hear of ye being poorly, DH's being poorly, and LO's being poorly. Hope all are better soon.
I'm back to normal, eating everything in sight... Don't know what it was, probably an allergy to the in-laws. (definitely not pg, KZ, that really would be a very long lasting sperm)

Soph, Chloe sounds like Kayley in her eating, K hardly eats much, no fruit or yoghurt, just some cereal. She likes to munch on toast, but usually ends up swallowing a big piece and then spewing it back up. So not much nutrition there... Does Chloe sleep through then? Does she feed during the night at all? Kayley had 3 feeds last night... Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn...
Who's mantra is it? 'Food is for fun until one'? Twinkle or someone...

Kbaby your DD is a gorgeous little fairy!!

HC hope you got some rest. Poor Sophie. And you.

KZ to you, hope the blood test clears it up whatever it is. Roshi's naps will sort themselves out, perhaps she'll sleep for longer around lunchtime when she settles. Perhaps two smaller lunches, either end of her new nap? You both feel better soon ok.

Beadmum, that's EXACTLY how it is with the in-laws!

Kayley has now started to pull herself up to standing via my legs and be quite delighted about it. It happens more when there's food on my lap funny enough. Even though she never eats it. She also bounces a lot, specially to music... Crazy...

Right well, it being Friday, there's plenty of scope for skiving, so I'd best get on with it. Have a great weekend ladies, feel better...

Annie

Ceebee74 · 30/03/2007 12:52

Pretty - sorry about your driving test - you must be gutted but there is always the next time.

{{{{{hugs}}}}} to all of those with sick babies - can I join?? Josh has been sent home from nursery again today (for at least the 4th time in 2 months) as he has a temperature and projectile vomited everywhere this morning - am gutted as he seemed to be so much better, hadn't been sick for about 10 days - and now this. There are some perks I guess - I get the afternoon off work and get to MN while he is asleep!!

Kbaby - lovely photos of your DD - she does seem very keen to pose

Soph - Josh doesn't eat much either so don't worry. His routine is as follows:

7ish - 8-9oz milk
8ish - some fruity breakfast cereal (the box says to do about 12 dessertspoons for 7month + - ha! Am lucky if Josh eats 4 dessertspoonsof it!!)
11ish - 8-9oz milk
12ish - give him some finger food for lunch - most goes on the floor
3ish 8-9oz milk
7ish - 8-9oz milk and bedtime

So not much different from your lo is it (except Josh drinks tons of milk). Am going to introduce tea from tomorrow (assuming he is better) at about 4ish (probably half a jar of something) Tried JOsh with bananacado/avanana - didn't like it so he must be the exception! Will keep trying though as apparently it takes babies 10 times to decide if they like something. Have also tried reducing his milk by only giving him 6-7oz to increase his solids but he really doesn't like it if he has not had enough milk.

Hi to everyone else who I have missed - could murder some chocolate but am stuck in the house now - I knew I should have got some from the vending machine at work before I left

AnnieOleTing · 30/03/2007 13:02

Ceebee, hope Josh is better soon too. Now you've mentioned chocolate, I'm off down to get some, shall I get you some too???

Pretty, meant to say, next time lucky.

Ceebee74 · 30/03/2007 13:06

Annie - ooh yes please, lovely big bar of Cadburys would go down a treat

auntymandy · 30/03/2007 13:08

I could do with some chocolate right now!
