Evening ladies

Ceebee-you will deffo lose next week but I do know how frustrating it can be.

Annie-crikey, how can you let your MIL be in your house when you are not there????? She might be tidying up and moving things. Have 'that' conversation quite often with DH. Better in the dark in bed so he can't see the faces I pull.

skay-nice to see you back. We seem to be missing lots of ladies lately. My lump is so tiny-will prod again and look with a mirror. That's how I spotted it as TMI but had a sore bottom and wondered why so used Sudocrem which helped.

DH has stormed off again. My dad has offered yet again to pay for and tile the kitchen as it still hasn't been done since the house was built. Dad has been offering to do it for ages and DH just won't accept any help. I am so about it. Even the in-laws have offered to help but he won't let them. Little does he know but am going to rip the lounge wallpaper off after the christening as I would rather sit and look at plaster than the awful paper that is up!

Meant to say that when I came downstairs to get Sophie ready I found DD1 had put one of her hats on Sophie here

Couldn't get Sophie to take her hand out of her mouth though. Also you can see a fine example of the awful wallpaper. Why oh why did I ever pick it?

Hope all are well. Still got the pain in my leg. GGGRRRHHH!!!

Have taken soooo long typing the last message and shouting at DH that many more messages have appeared.

kayzed-DH only bought me my new 'friend' in an attempt to spice things up but sadly am still too knackered every night. My old 'friends' packed up. Have stopped giving Sophie yoghurt.

Wallace-beautiful scenery.

Wallace ? my mum and dad own a week at the one beginning with L near C. I nearly asked you was it Loch Garten actually ? we went there to see the ospreys a couple of years back. I am sooo of you living up there. We were seriously considering moving to that area a while back, but unfortunately no suitable jobs and rising house prices put paid to that idea . And just how does anyone manage to buy a house in the Scottish system?!

HC ? I got a really bad pain in my leg when I was pregnant after getting the most horrendous cramp I have ever had one night. I went to the out of hours doctor and everything. I got the impression that it would have been red and swollen if it had been DVT and much more painful so I was a bit . But if in doubt get it checked out ? that goes for the other thing too (she says, the girl who?s still too scared to go for her smear test).

Annie ? I?ve got the Baby and Toddler Meal Planner. I do find it useful but the suggested portion sizes are way too small for my little porker. I?ve tried quite a few of the recipes and they?re pretty good, but IMO there?s too much emphasis on purees even into second stage weaning. Also not enough hard facts for my liking, but a nice book nonetheless. Trouble is I can only give DS the things that can be made and frozen in advance. DH breaks out in a cold sweat at anything more complicated than mashed banana!

How many of you have managed to register your LO with an NHS dentist? I tried to do so today (and me since I haven?t been for years ? my dad used to be one which makes it even more ). There are NO dentists in my area registering new NHS patients, even children. It?s an utter disgrace. All I could do was give my details to the PCT as apparently they are getting a private healthcare company from Birmingham to set up a one man band in our town ? hopefully that?ll happen while I can still get free treatment.

Well I think that?s long enough for now. Speak soon. xx

Twinkle-my NHS dentist only wanted to register DD1 when she turned 3. Will do the same with Sophie. There are just not enough NHS dentists about.

HumphreysYummyChoccyEggCorner · 26/03/2007 22:47

X posts-yes, Sophie is still sick but nothing like when she was on the Petit Filous thank goodness.

sohappyicouldcry · 26/03/2007 22:51

Crikey, I know I've not been on her for a little while, but you lot chat soooooo much it's taking forever to read everything !! With my brain still completely mashed, I couldn't possibly reply ot everyone or even comment on your postings, but I assure you I have read them all and looked at all of the gorgeous photos !!!!
I am so happy today... My DD (37 wks) got weighed today and is now a bouncing 14lb 12ozs !!! I know that is probably tiny compared to most of your little porkers, but she only started off at 4lbs 13ozs, so this is a huge increase for us !
This weekend she has been attempting to crawl forwards ! She mastered backwards a coupe of weeks ago, but now there is going to be no stopping her. She's even pulling herself up to standing (from crawling/sitting) using the footstool.
Will really have to child-proof the house now !

Mum staying with me this week as Dad and DH away together. Mum moaned tonight that she's not managed to put any of the clothes away for me...... Seems that she may have finally realised why I've not put them away myself - DD !!!

Better go to bed now, early rise in the morning for WORK !

Fingers crossed for a peaceful night for all. xx

HumphreysYummyChoccyEggCorner · 26/03/2007 22:54

Can't believe I am still up watching bike racing! Should be asleep. Only 13 laps to go!

sohappyicouldcry · 26/03/2007 23:00

Sorry, I'm neither of those ! Have never been a great poster, tend to lurk a bit more than I post
Thanks ! Can't believe how happy I am about something so tiny ! Just soooooooo proud of my little miracle !

Night night now, sweet dreams !

HumphreysYummyChoccyEggCorner · 26/03/2007 23:02
Hmm
sohappyicouldcry · 26/03/2007 23:03

Ooh, just before I go.... We managed to enrol with an NHS dentist as a family. Have to travel 10 min car ride, but not oo bad considering ! Rang every surgery on list given by hospital, but no spaces at all. As last resort tried hospital PALS (patient advisory & liaison service~) who said they thought this particular dentist was just opening his books again, and managed to squeeze in !! Must make sure we go regulaarly now so don't get wiped off the list ! Good luck...

KoshkaAndJake · 26/03/2007 23:05

HumphreysYummyChoccyEggCorner · 27/03/2007 13:03

Afternoon ladies

Hope you are all OK on this fine, sunny day

Sophie is 9 months today so at this time I was in extreme pain until she was born 1.5 hours later.

Have been a DIY goddess this morning and borrowed DH's mouse and sanded down my 2 garden chairs. Have put 1 coat of teak oil on but several more needed. My washer is plumbed in so can iron soon once clothes are dry-hurrah! Detest ironing actually. DH said I create washing by changing the bed sheets every week and washing the bath towel, hand towel, bath sheet and flannel every week and more importantly why do I have to wash them all-why not just the bath towel. WTF!!!!!! Do think he is living on a different planet to me at the mo.

He has phoned to say he is calling home for lunch so off to make an arsenic sandwich.

Laters

usandnosleep · 27/03/2007 13:22

HC, you make me laugh!!

I too have been Goddess of all issues domestic this morning, feeling very 'cleansed' at the mo. Don't you feel soooo much better when you get on top of everything?

Not got time to write a long message but have been feeling a bit neglectful of my internet chums so wanted to pop in.

There are lots of names missing, if I get time this evening I'm going to do a roll call.
I think KZ reminded me but when is Sleep/Nixnoo back? Feels like she has been gone for ages.

Zack has lost weight again, more tutting from old bag HV, he has had a terrible cold so I wasn't surprised.

As usual Zack has started complaining, he does this everytime I get the laptop out.

xx

AnnieOleTing · 27/03/2007 13:40

Afternoon all!!

HC Congrats to Sophie! Out longer than she was in now! She was the first of our bunnies wasn't she? Beautiful picture of your two DDs, absolutely gorgeous! You domestic angel-producing goddess you! MIL used to tidy up and move things all the time (Grrr), but now she just plays with the babies. And tells DS to 'say Yes not Yeh' and promptly says Yeh herself. Grrr. Anyway, I won't go into, I could be here a long time! They were ok last night (so far...). It was very late when we had dinner though, and I couldn't sleep, and ended up throwing it all up sometime in the night... Don't feel too great today either. Oh well.
Thanks pretty, it is in fact only 4 days really, one down already. Only 3 days to go...

Thanks for the offer of the book KZ, but I've just got the baby and toddler one on eBay! THanks though!!

Bloss how was this morning?? You probably do right by not going in at all. I must get K into her own room and go from there. This morning, she was in the bed with us as usual, I was trying to get some sleep after puking up, and DH must have got up to DS when he woke up, must have be 6.30am. Anyway, I hear shuffling around in the bed beside me, think it's just DH, next thing I hear a THUMP! And WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
She was after crawling off the edge of the bed!! WHoops!! No harm done though, she's fine. Must try and wake up when everyone else does...

Dear me...

best go, bit of work to do. Bugger...

Annie

HumphreysYummyChoccyEggCorner · 27/03/2007 14:47

Annie-my dad said something similar about Sophie being here the same amount of time I was carrying her. Hope you feel better soon hun. Not surprised you are sick-stresses of having your MIL there!

us-happy to make you laugh . Am such a sad case that I printed off a list of our names to keep so although I don't have some of the more recent names, here are the oldies original names so feel free everyone to add more recent names to the roll call.

Right, off to put another coat on my chairs. Am using DH's white undies as I detest white undies and socks and MIL buys him a huge pile every Christmas so am getting rid of them slowly and surely.
