omigod KZ, how ruddy exciting! Am a bit as I love Oz, and miss it, have spent alot of my life there, with my mum being an Aussie and all, and DH would move their like a shot, but would miss my family too much, which I guess is the reason you are moving back.......you had better not forget about us you hear? We would all really miss you... xx LOL at my thoughfulness re food processor for DH. he would use it not me you are quite right. I am only thinking of him! Did I miss something? Why did you not actually go out for your champagne day out in the end????

Us, glad the appt went well, if they are not worried then you shouldn't be either. I agree, i wish we all lived closer to each other too...

Lysettes, Toby likes Butternut squash too, he had it for lunch with greek yoghurt He has flatly refused jars for the past few days, can't say i blame him to be honest, they are truly revolting, so I am now doing BLW (late!) and he had bread and butter, peas, bits of ham, banana, and seemed to eat a good bit of it! Back to full milk drinking capacity too the guts....

HC - Grrrr at your DH! And I have asked you repeatedly to come hither and iron for me, why are you not here yet??

Have had such a nice day today. My parents had DS1 all morning while i went to visit my friend and her newborn, and he had an absolute ball with them and was as good as gold. Came home and he slept for two hours, then he woke up and Toby went to bed, so we watched Dumbo together, then my friend and her two boys came over and they played we did tea and they all had a bath together, then bed by 6.30pm totally exhausted! Kids have such a great life don't they?

DH off fishing tomorrow for 3 days straight. Dont mind to be honest, can have a dead early night tomorow night, then my sister and her baby same age as Toby are staying on Thursday night so that will be nice company.

I'm sure there was other guff I meant to bore you all with but can't remenber.

Ciao for now.

Bloss

kayzed-when I first read about your return to Oz I thought oh no, I'll never see you again. Doh, stoopid me-the internet is global and you aren't a real person or are you? Phewee! Hurrah for the internet!

Bloss-glad you had a nice day. My FIL is always going away fishing-shame MIL doesn't go with him. Have a spare hour tomorrow so will pop round and do your ironing being as though mine is nearly uptodate

Ceebee-I have been teaching Sophie to kiss me on the cheek. It is really nice isn't it? Sophie can't wave yet.

Lysettes-2 lb loss. Fantastic-keep it up! 7 lb goals at a time.

Good news is that the Bank won't charge for DH's oversight but want to charge £25 to arrange a £50 overdraft. Considering I worked there less than a year ago procedures have changed drastically and not for the better.

Had another flood warning phonecall-thinking of unplugging the phone so I get a decent night's sleep.

Holby on soon so better sign off.

KZ - what big news! Will be great for you to be close to family again .

usandnosleep - shouldn't boast, but last night DS slept until 4am, boobed him down and he woke up chatting about 6.45am The night before he was in our bed and I woke up everytime he stirred, grrr. Glad the paed appointment went well with your little dude. Sending sleepy vibes for tonight.

Evening all.
KZ - wow, what great news. When will you go? You must be releived to have made the decision, family is important to be around if you can. I have no family here where I am either. Mum was due to move here this year before she fell ill. DPs family live in USA, and we were considering moving there, but BIL is bringing the tribe here instead . Oh and KZ I never said sorry about your cousin

Blos - YEY on the BLW, it sounds like you are having a great time with it! I love it. I do combination of both puree and BLW with LO, since she started refusing puree. She is back on t now, as long as it is lumpy and she has finger food too. Her fave is scrambled eggs and toast and philly. I really want to send a picture but I cant remember how to do it .

Wallace · 20/03/2007 21:33

kayzed - glad you are not leaving us It will be great to have your families around, and I'm sure the dcs will enjoy the lifestyle (I spent a lot of time in Africa as a child and loved being able to be outside so much) had to lol at the image of Roshi getting up and walking the second your back is turned, then sitting down looking all innocent when you glance at her

Pavlov - Leo pinchesand scratches too, often on my boobs when he is feeding..ouch! He does love fiddling with my necklce, and it does distract him.

Bloss - Leo was in the car too - slept through it all! Luckily dh is a very experienced driver in the snow. How was yuor friend? That text was lovely I quite like in when dh goes away for a couple of days too -peace and quiet and early nights! It must be lovely having your sis with a baby the same age - It seems like hardly any time ago that you were posting about who was going to give birth first.

ceebee - when Leo was at the doctor there was a dog hair in his creases

us - glad the appt. went well

HC - hope you don't get flooded My dh is crap with money too. We used to have all the direct debits etc coming out of our joint account, and I would leave money in to cover money coming out, and he would take it out Now all the direct debits come out of my own account, and I use online banking to transfer money between the accounts, and keep an eye!

Lysettes - glad jacob is doing well The kissing is lovely, isn't it? I remarked to my mum that there aren't many men I would let grab my hair and shove their tongue in my mouth

maewest - ooh I hope you have another good night xxxx

Kids were off school today because of the snow, so we went sledging

Leo is gettin so close to crawling. He leans way forward from sitting and rocks. How did yuor LOs learn to crawl? I@m sure ds1 did it by starting on his front, pushing up on his arms, then eventually getting his bum up with his knees underneath. Leo seems to be doing it differently!

have a look at{http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/6471/p1000528yq3.jpg\this}for some BLW fun and messiness!

PavlovtheCat · 20/03/2007 21:58

oh crap, always get this wrong
this

IamBlossom · 20/03/2007 21:59

ahem, HC, perhaps not a good idea to ignore flood warning phone calls to ensure good night's sleep! Tee hee, you do make me laugh. Maybe it would be ok if you bedded down on a lilo.......

What a fab piccie. I admire you ladies trying BLW as I gave Sophie a chocolate finger today and all the chocolate came off it and went everywhere. Then she wiped her dirty fingers everywhere. Having a Bree moment as I can't stand the mess. BTW if you Preview Message you can test your link.

HumphreysCorner · 20/03/2007 22:04

Bloss ................................................................just blowing one up now.

PavlovtheCat · 20/03/2007 22:09

Humphrey - as you can see, it is a very very messy process. But also as you can see, she has soooo much fun! Each time she has finished, she has wet, cold sticky fingers and face and loves to snuggle into me as I take her to get cleaned up. I never bother to get her dressed before brekky, and have now taken to using a bib that she wears like a shirt, she can pull the normal ones off and it all goes everywhere anyway (as you can see, dont always bother with one anyway!)

Look at this one too. I love these, sorry you gonna get sick of em!

PavlovtheCat · 20/03/2007 22:10

thanks for tip humphrey, did not know you could do that!!

PavlovtheCat · 20/03/2007 22:11

I pay no attention wehatsoever - I am an 'activist' according to all the textbooks, ie I steam right in and ignore any instructions lol

PavlovtheCat · 20/03/2007 22:15

ok, one more. After she finished it all. She had scrambled egg. Philly on toast, banana and baby muesli. She also had water from tippee cup, she gets it in her mouth then squirts it across the room in a fountain, she finds it hilarious!

PavlovtheCat · 20/03/2007 22:17

oh I see
this

kbaby · 20/03/2007 22:17

Im sure DS is never going to craw. He has decided though that he wont sit and wants to stand so I have to gently karate chop the back of his kness to get them to bend so I can sit him down We were up all night again with him. He woke at 10.30 and I thought I would try giving water instead of milk. It didn?t go down too well and he created, he did eventually fall asleep but once I laid him down he was back awake. I gave him milk in the end but he didn?t go to sleep until 1.30 and then woke back up at 3am!! How am I ever going to convince him to sleep longer. Im glad im not the only one to leave him crying, I imagined all of your babies drifting off to sleep nicely on their own. I feel really cruel leaving him to cry so its good to know your all doing it and its almost normal. Just have to decide if im prepared to do it at night time now.

Sounds as if DS isn?t the only one who has lots of fun inflicting pain. We get hair pulling while giving your cheek a love bite!! And his favourite is pinching little bits of skin under your arm.

DD has come home from nursery today with head lice. Ive never seen them before and have now spent the evening combing conditioner through her hair and oh my god they are disgusting, I keep itching now. MIL said she had the devil in her today. When I asked her if she had been naughty today she replied ?Yes but I didn?t want to be naughty?

Kayzed- That looks exactly like what I could?ve done with. Theres not much point in getting one now as most places here have highchairs but its something ill invest in if we go away again. How much was it? Sorry you had such a crap mums day. I hope he makes it up to you soon. Not sure what to say on your news. Im sure what ever you do you will make the most of and it will be lovely for you to be close to your family again. Infact can I come, I just want some sun.
Blos- I love reading your threads, they are so well written and you just sound so full of life and love being at home with your boys.

Ceebee- Don?t worry all HV are useless. Were still waiting for ours to get back to us in regards to DS not cooing etc when he was 5 months old. She still doesn?t know that he is now making sounds.

Annie- Kayley sounds as if shes making good progress, a very clever little girl.
Us- glad the appointment went well.

Lynsette- Not sure if this helps you but DS will have around 7 cubes of food or if ive made it in a pot its about 7 ozs off food at each meal.

HumphreysCorner · 20/03/2007 22:22

kbaby-hope tonight is better for you. Sophie not crawling-just rocking.

Pavlov-I never get tired of looking at the gorg pics.

Night ladies-DH has gone up so had better follow.

xxx

PavlovtheCat · 20/03/2007 22:25

kbaby - DD crawled before she sat. She tried to stand before she sat. I would not worry. Your Lo just knows what he wants to be doing and sod the middlely bit!

prettymum · 20/03/2007 22:33

kz- awwwww!! you're leaving us!! hope the best for you and your family over on oz!

pav- lovely pic!! she looks like shes enjoying her food!! i'd be looking at the mess and forcing myself to ignore it!! junior just holds onto what ever he has in his hand and watches it as it squeezes through his fingers!

im so bad, ive read through all the msgs and have finding it hard to remember who said what!! next time im going to write down notes! it takes me ages to browse up the thread to re-read the msgs!

wel i went and saw my sister and mum on saturday, and it was actually really nice. junior got very attached to my sister and we all really enjoyed our selves.

my dad knew my mum was going to see me and later was apparantly was jealous that he wasnt invited. hope everyone can get over the past and sort things out!

PavlovtheCat · 20/03/2007 22:40

prettymum that sounds like a good move with your mum and dad. I did not read your thread but know from past ones things have been strained.
Re: mess, yes I do have to grit my teeth, but I have just bought a dyson so its a good excuse to get it out and clear the floor afterwards, and she loves it so much, there is time in the future for clean eating, as long as she enjoys eating, i dont mind. Promise I dont leave her looking that way, I do clean up after

PavlovtheCat · 20/03/2007 22:48

Just to show she is usually un-messy, and because I love showing pictures!

this

prettymum · 20/03/2007 22:57

pav- i hope that didnt sound rude, didnt mean it to sound like that!! junior and dd sit and make so much mess i sit down and just think, in couple of years i can make the place look decent, for now i chant- a messy baby is a happy baby-
