Oh welcome back honey!

Ds went on his first pre school trip today. They went in a mini bus to the local national trust place and play ground. So sweet.

HoneyMum21 · 07/07/2016 17:32

Aww. That's so sweet. DS1 went to the fire station with nursery last week - he loved it. But refused to get out of the fire engine!

GeoffreysGoat · 07/07/2016 17:34

Yay, welcome back Honeymum 😃

R had his first swimming lesson today, I've popped a photo on fb

Barbeasty · 07/07/2016 19:33

A's nursery don't seem to do trips. Although he did get to go and collect the children from the other school who go there for after school club.

How did R like swimming?

Welcome back Honey

Ds' pre school is very small. It's at maximum capacity some days with 18 children, I think there was only 12 of them today though.

HoneyMum21 · 07/07/2016 20:07

Today I picked D up and they'd had a snake in which he'd touched Confusedand he'd watched it eat a mouse.

MrsNutella · 07/07/2016 21:12

honey hello, nice to see you here!

Kindergarten don't do many trips, they have things like puppets or a circus (with animals like dogs and goats I think) or a magician come and visit.
But the nursery DD is at do a lot, and they have a tank with Terrapins in. I have no idea who thought Terrapins would be a good idea or why, but the kids like to stand and stare at the tank.
They go out and have their morning snack at a local park, go for ice cream, go and look at roadworks, go to the local supermarket and do some shopping for their afternoon snack... They have also been to the airport, the sea life place, a local family owned bakery... Loads!

And DH is at home after two days away, hurrah! I am tired and just want to not have kids right now. We fly on Sunday to my Mum's and I'm getting unnecessarily stressed about shopping, packing and planning everything Blush

GeoffreysGoat · 07/07/2016 23:13

He adored swimming! Which is good because I've got to pay for at least 3 months worth Hmm

Same as Wreck tiny school no trips. The sure start bus pops in sometimes, and the library came the other day. They have snails from the teachers garden, he's fascinated by them! They hatched butterflies last year :o

WLmum · 08/07/2016 10:14

You guys!!

Thanks you so much for the beautiful flowers, I am so very touched. I was just logging back in to say hi as I'd fallen off and the door bell rang! Amazing!

I just used the worry eater to help explain about dm getting poorly and losing her hair etc. T put her hands over her ears and said 'no, I don't want her to get poorly' and dd2 was getting upset. They felt much happier after feeding their worries to the eater.
Thank you awesome ladies. Xx

HoneyMum21 · 08/07/2016 22:00

Aw WL glad it helped

MrsNutella · 09/07/2016 09:17

WL I'm so pleased it is useful for you all. Flowers

WLmum · 09/07/2016 18:44

I went for a 5k run this morning, feeling quite pleased with myself, until I saw a school dad - I could tell he'd been far - saw him this arvo - he was at the end of a 40k run!! How is that even possible?!

MrsNutella · 09/07/2016 19:05

I know someone that runs ultra marathons. I'm working my way back to a 5k (I hope one day to obviously look like I jog as a result of all this running Wink ) and I'd like to maybe be able to do 10k one day.... But seriously, running 50 -100 km just sounds.... A bit mad!

WreckTangled · 09/07/2016 19:10

We went to a 5k today. My dad came second and ran it in 21 minutes. I just went for the cake.

So looks like we're going to a family festival next month. It's in Cheshire. I've always said I hate camping but I'm going to embrace it. We don't have any camping stuff though!
