Yep, woke up horrified. I sort of can't believe that the world looks the same after such a huge and scary shift.

WreckTangled · 24/06/2016 13:38

It's horrendous. I actually don't know what to say.

MrsNutella · 24/06/2016 16:22

It's making me really angry, so many people who seem to be saying "I voted leave, I didn't think it would happen". I just want to hit these people over the head explain the democratic process to them and that every vote counts and then be able to switch their vote.

Sadly that isn't how it works either.

Barbeasty · 24/06/2016 21:04

I woke up this morning still with a stinking cold (now going to my chest), after a 17 hour day and 6 hours sleep, and may have been slightly over upset with the result.

DH came home this evening with chocolate and a half bottle of prosecco (so I can drink it all myself) to cheer me up.

It's DD's birthday tomorrow, so when we got back from school I gave A a card to write. When I went back a few minutes later he'd torn it into pieces Hmm
DH also came home with a replacement card!

Dbil is a leaver - he spouted some real nonsense this evening. Dh is finding their relationship really difficult - for the record he also supports Trump. How is it I am somehow related to this man?

Nice tangled! Any chance you would swap this little love for 1, possibly 2 children? I have a couple going spare...
What's his/her name? Bet the dc are beside themselves!

WreckTangled · 26/06/2016 20:27

He's called biscuit and we're picking him up from the rescue centre tomorrow Smile no swabs sorry Wink

WLmum · 27/06/2016 21:38

How's biscuit settled in tangled? Dh and I have a running joke about if we ever had a pet it would be called biscuit!

GeoffreysGoat · 27/06/2016 21:43

He is gorgeous Wreck.

My app won't let me post, anyone else having issues?

MrsNutella · 29/06/2016 09:48

Both and a story about DS - why not?
At Kiga they have a new system for lunch. The kids go to their "children's restaurant" (a little eating area next to the kitchen which they have made a little larger recently; because they used to have lunch in their group room but they decided they wanted to have less chairs and table and more play space in the group room) between 12 and 2 to have their lunch at a time they want. So when they are hungry basically. They do the same for breakfast and afternoon tea. It's all about encouraging the children to eat when they are hungry and listen to their hunger signals.

Anyway, yesterday they had chips and "currywurst" - basically sausage and ketchup - for lunch. Apparently DS went for lunch about 4 times they think Grin I have no idea where he puts it!

halestone · 29/06/2016 12:57

Biscuits looks ace, do the DC love him/her?

H went on her school trip yesterday, it was an all day trip to Blackpool Circus in the tower. She loved it. I was nervous about it the whole day, DP took me to the driving range to take my mind off it and i ended up with a blister and alot of golf balls in a 6 metre radius of me Blush

WLmum · 29/06/2016 22:06

nutella I couldn't post yesterday either.

WLmum · 29/06/2016 22:10

That sounds like a great system nutella

I took dm to a spa today for some pre chemo pampering - but she passed out shortly after we got there so spent a couple of hours with paramedics then came home SadI think it's the worry and stress causing her to sleep even less than normal.

MrsNutella · 29/06/2016 22:28

WL that's so sad! Is there something else you can do with her that she might enjoy?

Kindergarten are usually very into letting the kids do as much as possible themselves, while being supervised, so they set the table and serve themselves lunch and clear away after themselves etc. I miss the group lunch - I know that was something he enjoyed too - but he seems quite happy with the new system.... Especially if he can have lunch more than once.

Other days they might have rice pudding for lunch so he comes home quite hungry because he won't touch it. Apparently in Germany rice pudding is a meal. Confused they had it recently and the toppings were a choice of cherries or sugar and cinnamon. DS came home and said he had cherries with sugar and cinnamon for lunch.... He was a bit hungry....

wreck how is biscuit settling in? Is he already toilet trained?

MrsNutella · 29/06/2016 22:31

Oh, speaking of toilet training.... DD wants to wear pants now. Although hasn't got the hang of going to the toilet for a wee
"DD do you need a wee?"
"No"
"Are you sure"
"No" = I don't need a wee.
Then
"Wet!" Hmm

Or

"DD do you need the toilet?"
"Yes"
Sit her down. She might do a few grunty noises then
"Finished" and she has done nothing .....

I'm not sure if this is a phase or if she will get the hang of it....

WLmum · 29/06/2016 22:51

The spa were very kind and have us vouchers so we might try again sometime.

WreckTangled · 30/06/2016 06:41

Oh no WL poor mum Sad

He's settled in fine and is completely litter trained etc.

halestone · 30/06/2016 10:43

WL what an awful experience instead of the lovely one you had planned. Its nice that they gave you vouchers to go back hopefully you can try again soon

MrsNutella · 04/07/2016 10:51

How was everyone's weekend? The kids were a pain - we were tired.

But today I went running today (I've been working on it for a few weeks now) and looking at my map I almost ran three KM!! Yay!! Grin (I had a little break after about 2 km and then ran another little bit).

I'm quite pleased with myself I've already ruined it by eating celebratory cake

GeoffreysGoat · 04/07/2016 11:50

Tiring, thought we'd cracked ds2s sleep by night weaning but it fell apart again 😞

WreckTangled · 04/07/2016 12:10

Mine was ok. I went wedding dress shopping with my best friend and got myself some silver supergra's Grin day off from the dc!

HoneyMum21 · 07/07/2016 15:26

pokes head round door

Hello. I'm rubbish and half the names have changed since I was last here. But can I come back?!
