Dh did 50k across the giant's causeway about a year into our relationship. R has a parkrun pb of 37:11 although he can't have his own barcode until he's 4.

MrsNutella · 09/07/2016 20:52

That's much faster than me at the moment Geoffrey! GrinBlush but I'm working on it. Perhaps when I can run a reasonable distance I'll take DS with me.... Although he would be off into every bush/field etc.

MrsNutella · 09/07/2016 21:51

DS was given too many sweets by the in law family again.... So he went to sleep around 9pm (he also had a nap in the car but he is usually asleep by 8pm - especially because after a day with family he is exhausted!!)

DH and I have just about finished packing Confused we fly tomorrow I hate packing! and we have opened a bottle of wine.... We don't normally drink much. But because we are leaving tomorrow we obviously have to finish the bottle.....

WLmum · 10/07/2016 00:03

goat and tangled that's amazing!
tangled do embrace the camping - it's awesome! I hate packing for it, and always get grumpy but we all love it when we're out there.

So ladies, tonight you made dm cry! She was at mine as me and db were taking her for a posh meal before her tastebuds go, and when I told her who my flowers and worry eater were from she was so touched by your thoughtfulness and kindness. Bless you again and again.

WLmum · 10/07/2016 00:04

nutella dd1 often comes with me in her bike as I go along the tow path. It's lovely quiet time together.

WreckTangled · 10/07/2016 06:49

Aww bless you're lovely mum WL Flowers

If you have any camping tips I would be grateful. The festival looks awesome though it's called Just So festival.

WLmum · 10/07/2016 12:44

My top tips are layers, crocs for the whole family - come into their own in the rain or mud - so much easier than wrangling with muddy trainers or wellies. A picnic rug in the 'living area' of the tent - stops the groundsheet being so noisy and catches any spills. A potty for everyone to use at night! Kitchen roll. Wet wipes. Hand gel.

Will you be cooking or buying food?

halestone · 10/07/2016 15:43

You all sound brilliantly healthy the only running i do is to the car, if its raining Grin

Tangled i'm sure my cousin went to that festival last year with her children and she loved it.

Have a good flight Nutella.

WreckTangled · 10/07/2016 15:43

A mixture but we're going with another family too! Thanks I'm taking notes...

WLmum · 10/07/2016 20:29

God wise, depends how fussy dc are, but freeze pints of milk which then act as cold blocks for your cool box and you can take one out each day for cereal, tea etc. Pasta and a jar of sauce always goes down well, or take a frozen bolognaise. Tinned spuds fry up nicely for a treat. Any good for a start?

WreckTangled · 10/07/2016 20:41

Oh freezing milk is a good idea. My friend has one of those super cool boxes she said we can borrow. I hope the toilets are too manky Blush

Ds has been awful today. We went to a pub to eat and left before ordering but he was just crying that he wanted an ice cream. Dd was just as bad once we got home. Honestly sometimes I wonder where I went wrong.

WreckTangled · 10/07/2016 21:04

Oh and dd told me she hates me today. On more than one occasion. ShockAngrySad

GeoffreysGoat · 10/07/2016 21:07

Veggie sausages will keep for a few days if you take them frozen. Those plus fried eggs and tinned potatoes makes the breakfast of gods!

HoneyMum21 · 10/07/2016 21:51

Ladies I need some advice. A good friend has just had another in a long line of miscarriages. She has one beautiful little girl who is the same age as D but had a number of MC before her and has had a number since. This time last year she had a molar pregnancy and after that they said they'd stopped trying. She then had another MC this weekend. What can I do to show her I'm thinking of her and here if she needs me? Flowers seems too clichéd but I can't think what else.

WLmum · 11/07/2016 00:30

Oh honey how awful for her. I don't think flowers are too cliche at all. Just knowing that you are thinking of her and you care is what's important.

WLmum · 11/07/2016 00:31

Oh and my post below was supposed to say food wise, not God wise - that would be weird!

WreckTangled · 11/07/2016 07:55

Isn't there a website called dontsendherflowers ?

halestone · 11/07/2016 10:36

I got flowers when i MC and it was a lovely thought. Maybe if you don't want to send flowers maybe just a card, or some cake amd ice cream (comfort food) or bath stuff.

MrsNutella · 11/07/2016 11:27

Honey maybe ask on the miscarriage board? There are some great ideas and mementos out there, by you know what your friend would like.

hales I don't look like I run at all sadly but I decided i need to work on fitness and then I will take more care of what I eat so basically a lot less but first I'm trying to do things that make me happy Smile

Yesterday was looooong and it was much hotter than I expected!! we flew in the afternoon and we flew first to Paris and then on to near my Mum's. Then after landing at about 9:30pm it was a good hour drive home. DS slept on the plane and DD eventually fell asleep in the car, but she was so sad. She kept saying "I tired" and "want bed"Sad awwwww but once we got her settled at Grandmas and into her bed she slept in this morning until about 8:30.

DS is insane today with tiredness. DH and I are both knackered after the long day and late bedtime yesterday; so it's going to take a while for us all to recover.

WLmum · 12/07/2016 22:59

nutella dd sounds so cute. Hope you've all recovered a bit today.
Dd1 and I had a great run/ride tonight, I'm slowly getting faster. Making the most of the light evenings with her coming with me on her bike. She loves the 121 time

WLmum · 14/07/2016 22:36

Hope you all enjoyed dm and I getting up to some post chemo mischief!

GeoffreysGoat · 15/07/2016 08:07

Fabulous photos wl 💐

halestone · 15/07/2016 21:45

I have my DN staying over tonight. Her and H are in bed watching Heidi (the cartoon) on netflix on the tablet. They have managed to change the settings so it os a french speaking episode. They are so quiet its amazing, i am considering turning all our TVs to French Speaking Grin

WL how is your mum today?

WLmum · 16/07/2016 13:36

hales does she love watching her namesake?
Dm is ok thanks, some side effects kicked in but not too bad.
For those that trying with fitness - dd1 and I did a pb run/ride 5k this morning and the shred level 2! I wonder how many more miles/crunches until my wobbly belly is gone? Just returning a beautiful dress that is a little too big, bet the 12 will be a little too snug - motivation right there!

MrsNutella · 16/07/2016 16:44

WL go you!! Well done you and DD1. I have tried jogging here (in France on holiday at my Mum's) it is very very hilly/mountainous. At home it is very very flat. I need to persevere Blush but it's not easy!!
