Thought I had better start a new thread as the old one was about to crash

Happy 30th B'Day kbaby Wish I was 30 again but then I suppose I wouldn't even be married let alone have a house to live in or my 2 precious children. Whoops-going all sentimental now, better go!

Taking DD1 to her dance class Christmas Party so got some sarnies to be getting on with.

Happy Sunday

kbaby-I would rather prop my eyelids open with matchsticks than let my MIL look after them. Infact, I have never slept during DD1's or Sophie's naps. Always too much to do and now I am a MNetter-well, say no more. DD1 ate all her spag bol-took a few hours though and I wasn't going to give in.

Wallace-glad Leo is a bit better.

I have felt quite down over the last few days and today I have spent hours just chatting on various threads and now I feel lifted. Really wish I had discovered MN before DD1 was born-could quite possibly have saved my sanity during those early months. Thank goodness it is easier with your 2nd baby.

Oh, I do like these early pics. I must find one but I have my nightie on in mine

I would have a cleaner house if I didn't have MN! Might have gone mad by now, mind you...

Leo has gone to sleep! By himself! In his cot! Hasn't done that for a while, he must be getting better

some more very newborn photos for you

love his lips in this one
Already grabbing my necklace

Twinklemegan · 02/02/2007 22:41

Oh I wish I had a pic of Aidan and me when he was just born that I could actually show anyone. My stepdaughter saw one accidentally the other week when we were visiting and she didn't know where to put herself! Not that it's very revealing you understand, but it's certainly not flattering! Even now though I'm the one who takes most of the pics so I suppose that would explain it.

Twinklemegan · 02/02/2007 22:42

I'm just curious re yesterday's post. Has anyone else's LO climbed out of a bumbo? Is this very common at this age, cos I found it quite alarming! (Although I did sit and watch instead of helping him because it was funny )

kbaby · 02/02/2007 22:45

heres mine. I think the gas and air was still in effect and honestly there is a baby under all that towel.

here

HumphreysCorner · 02/02/2007 22:47

Can't see it kbaby.

kbaby - lovely photo, you look so blissfully happy Can't beat than post birth euphoria

twinkle - don't have a bumbo so can't help, but they are supposed to do until a baby is 14 months (walking?) so probably not meant to be able to escape...that boy is going to be trouble when he starts crawling

SleepIsForTheWeak · 02/02/2007 22:57

Well, I have yet another word of advice:
never bake after half a bottle of wine!
I have organised a photo shoot tomorrow with some girlfriends and their babies with a professional photographer, and said I would provide tea and cake! So, I just made Nigella's cupcakes (first time ever) after the wine. Lordy! The kitchen is a scene of devastation, and I burnt a tea towel, got cake mixture everywhere. sigh! They look yummy tho!

Wallace, those pictures are gorgeous - were they ever really that small? Must be time for another one!?!?!? Noooooooooooooooooooo

The nap thing is interesting - I alsoi never sleep when he naps, but the other day weekend DH and I both napped with S in the middle, and he slept for 2 hours! Absolutely unheard of, I swear it was bewcause he felt secure and happy!?!? So the following Monday I treid it again, slept next to him, and again he slept much longer than normal! Havent done it again tho, but will try to next week.

Hope all your poorly LOs are on the mend?
x

Here is me when Sophie was about an hour old. Crikey, I don't look half as glamourous as Wallace. Will try the less is more approach next time. Am also keeping it for a Weight Watchers before and after pic-lol!

Sophie

Must go to bed now as my laptop has had enough action for one day.

Gosh you all look so glamourous (sp?) so soon after giving birth! Kbaby - can't see yours

Heres my newborn photo:

minutes after being born

Twinkle - I have heard about babies throwing themselves out of bumbos (I am sure there was a thread on here a while a go about it - maybe worth a search - sure Bumbo was in the title) - I think it is more common for them to arch their backs (which is what Josh does though he has never come out of it yet) and get out that way - sounds like what Aiden did was much more fancy

Lysettes - at your DH - they are just so thoughtless aren't they? Sounds like he needs a good talking to!!

Well it is a lovely day so I think a nice long walk is in order today.

IamBlossom · 03/02/2007 19:34

oh I LOVE these photos! Wallace you look truly beautiful, euphoric, I welled up at your one! HC you look really really happy too, KBaby I can't see yours either and am also stamping my foot at this, please address instantly...Ceebee, you loook so so chuffed too, your DH looks knackered!

first two are DS1 second two are Toby

Mum was with me as well as DH for DS1's birth, she was absolutely shell shocked by the end of it (27 hours of hell) can you tell?

Lysettes, and KBaby - welcome to my world. Although Dh hasn't mentioned the "fishing" word for at least a week now so that is progress....and I got a lie in ths morning, but that was mainly cos Toby was still asleep and DS1 condescended to go downstairs with Daddy which is rare....still, pigeon steps etc...

Wallace · 03/02/2007 19:43

love the photos everyone looks so happy (if a tad tired!) Wish I had some BF ones bloss! I should probably know, but my memory has failed me - why is Toby wired up?

Ceebee74 · 03/02/2007 19:46

Bloss - can't see your photos - my turn to stamp my feet!!

prettymum · 03/02/2007 20:29
