OMG Dreamy! How did you do that? I think you have just replied to each and everyone of us!!! (Well, nearly) I struggle to get back to the top two posts! And with all those kids....

I think we've found Supermum! Always knew she existed

Yeah its a shame we are all spread out so much. And i've been in my new house a year and although its just a little bit further out than my old house it seems miles whne you want to pop in to see a friend. As well as having the afternoon school runs to do, never have time to wander too far... At least i have lovely neighbours who i have tea with when they are in. Hey ho, it'll get better.

Well we won on the Lottery Euromillions! So chuffed with us, not quite the millionaires but we got just over £100 which will treat me to a night out . So maybe the next one will be the biggy. If it is then i will hire a hotel and make you all come stay for a night. Or a Spa weekend. Ohhh that'd be lovely....

PinkTulips · 11/01/2007 16:07

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EENY!!!!

BigHotMama · 11/01/2007 16:29

Arggghhh Dont talk about neighbours to me Snowboo! (well a least yours are nice hun!) We had a terrible night last night. Our new neighbour directly above us is a real bad pisshead and came in last night shouting swearing and shouting wakey wakey banging doors and spilt beer everywhere and even left an empty beer can outside our door. My dh was fuming as it was 1.30am, he went storming up there but the pisshead wouldnt open the door, then when he come back down we heard him shouting 'f*ck you dickhead' he shouted this about 5 times so my dh went back up to try sort him out...I was a mess shaking like hell and then couldnt get back to sleep till 4am...I so want to get a mortgage and get out of these flats...its normally really quiet but I can see us having problems with this noisy neighbour!

Sorry for the rant jus need to let it al out!

Good to hear from ya Dreamy, I agree you are supermum, how do you do it? Bet it keeps you young though . Jackson doesnt really do anything in his bouncer yet just looks around ha! Sounds like your Sophie is a little angel sleeping through and bet she's spoilt with love with all your kids around her bless!

Jackson just been weighed and he's now 16lb6oz back on the 50th centile wahoo!

Congrats on ya win Snowboo, go treat yaself to a spa they make you feel great! My ma n pa won at the bingo last week they got £1200 and gave us £100 as a treat but as funds are low its gone on food shopping .

Hope everyone is doing good x

sarahlou1uk · 11/01/2007 17:11

stumpydoglooksforwardtospring · 12/01/2007 10:21

hope you had a nice birthday eeny and micku your pics are lovely. they look very sweet.
dreamy - i was so pleased to read about you. i thought i was prob the only over 40 here . i'm 42 and had my first baby at 20. and now i have a confession to make : i'm also a granny . there is a pic of me with my 21yr old dd and my ds, reuben and grandson, adam on member profiles. i was intending to do a link from here, but have messed it up- resized the pic too much. i'll have to wait til my 13 yr old ds comes home from school and ask him to fix it for me

PinkTulips · 12/01/2007 14:05

weathers horrible again so i feel lazy and miserable and bored....... BOO HOO HOO!!!!

caleb ate a whole pot of broccoli last night and slept from 7pm til 12pm though so i'm dead chuffed.... the key must be iron rich foods to help him sleep. (less chuffed that he then wouldn't go back to sleep til i came to bed with him but nevermind..... we'll get there in the end, as soon as his sleep is somewhat sorted he's going into dd's room as it's twice the size and she'll love to have him in there and i'll love to not have to be afraid to turn over at night for fear of him hearing me and wanting into my bed, lol!)

my brain seem to short circuit as i read all the posts as i can never remember who said what to answer them am in awe of dreamy's post!

stumpy, what a great pic of you and your dd and the babies..... you sooo don't look like a granny! congratulations to you and dd on such gorgeous little boys

hope your birthday went well eeny and sorry to everyone i haven't answered!

olivo · 12/01/2007 16:13

bonjour mes amis! weather is crap here too so we've only been out to the supermarket today. dd has napped quite a lot though so i've managed to do some tidying up and cleaning and pay some bills etc.

have been feeling a bit low this week, i think its the lack of daylight and also the lack of sleep finally catching up with me. also, already dreading going back to work, even though i still have nearly 3 months left. keep having deep thoughts about dd's birth as well and what went wrong and what could have happened etc. not good.

stumpy - have been trying to see if i recognise you (or your dd!!)from anywhere but no luck!

on the plus side, dd rolled right over onto her front today for the first time

sarahlou1uk · 12/01/2007 17:32

Well I've had a nice surprise today. Two years ago we bought a Silentnight bed from MFI in the sale and bought the extra 4 yr guarantee. Recently, the mattress on dh's side has sunk (he is a bit of a large man!) and I am convinced that this is the cause of my bad back (I roll towards him unlike the adverts!!). Contacted the MFI guarantee dept and received a call back yesterday asking me to go into the store and pick a new mattress.

Went today and not only do I have a new mattress - I have a complete new bed with drawers!!!! Apparently, the bed I originally purchased has been discontinued by Silentnight so they said to me, 'go and pick one you like!!' So I went and picked the dearest one (£910) and they didn't bat an eyelid!! Bargain! Best of all, I still have 2 years left to run on my guarantee!

To say I am happy is a large understatement!!!

nwgreenmum · 12/01/2007 17:33

Heloooo,

I've not posted on this thread before, but have only recently discovered MN. I, too, have decided to join in. So to introduce myself. My DD was born 19th Aug, I also have 2 DSs aged 17 and 7. She was a bit of a surprise (marina coil still not found, scan next week). It has been funny getting back into baby things, but she is v good. Having said that she is running a temp since yesterday so is not quite so much fun today.

I think we were getting quite a good routine, but how well we will get back to it after this little hic up I don't know...

sarahlou1uk · 12/01/2007 17:48

Welcome nwgreenmum. We are a friendly bunch on here.

So, you have a missing coil! I had one after the birth of my first but had to have it taken out as it kept slipping down. Not impressed with them and will never have another.

PinkTulips · 12/01/2007 17:51

hello nwgreenmum...... pmsl at the mirena coil going awol! hope you enjoy our mad bunch

olivo..... sorry your not feeling great... i know what you mean about dwelling on the birth.... i still can't watch a tv show about a birth going wrong without completely losing it and dd's birth was 2 years ago do you have people to talk to about it? i found even taking to dp about it and hearing what it was like from his pov helped.

about the bed sarah..... lucky you it was discontinued!

nwgreenmum · 12/01/2007 17:53

yep missing in action.

Thing is, it is one of the newercoils that is hormone coated so my periods had already stopped. Didn't find out i was pg until 20 weeks when tummy got bigger.

olivo · 12/01/2007 21:23

PT - i think i maybe need to talk to osmeone medical about it. i went through my labour notes about a week after with the midwife who was there at the time, but i think i need to read dd's notes from the labour and the week in scbu to be able to get my head around it. It wasnt till i got out of hospital that i realised how very poorly she was and the whole resucitation thing. Not sure if i can do that but may ask my GP how i could go about it.

welcome nwgreenmum! - sorry, I'm being a misery-guts today - not always like this!

nwgreenmum · 12/01/2007 21:39

Hey olivo,

Don't worry. I had an interesting time with DS2 in labour. My waters had broken 5 weeks early and was in Hosp for days, then went into labour overnight but the night staff weren't interested. Day staff turned up and ran me down to labour room. When I checked the notes afterwards the sheet said "blood group - O". I asked if this was baby's blood group, they said "no, yours". I am A pos. I told them that and they crossed it out and corrected it (thank G I did not need a transfusion).

I always wish that I had seen my notes, as I can't understand what on earth they were doing leaving me overnight with no help even though I was begging for pain relief and bullied into getting out of the bath at 2 am.

IMHO it is better to know.

However, I may be spouting complete bunkum as I don't know the details of your situationm, so if that is the case please please forgive me.

Another longwinded one from me

dressedupnowheretogo · 12/01/2007 22:00

hello nwgreen mum welcome aboard

olivio i was exactly the same and you have an absoulte rigth to your notes and someone to discuss them with

well my day has not got off to a good start i got up out of my chair where my laptop is and collapsed i managed to get to bed last night had to have dd in bed all night coz the dh never hears her so i didnt hqve to get up

got up this morning and it was veen worse so have lost 2 days pay coz cant work tomorrow either so tonight dd will be in my bed again and dh is on the sofa but its awful i cant take any painkillers coz of bf and cant cuddle dd for long coz of pain

dd is giggling her head off as her dad is be fluffling her toes by blowing on them lol its so sweet she also had more avacado today also is a baby 6 months on the date or by weeks so is 24or 26 weeks six months or 9th feb 6 calender months i need to know re weaning

olivo · 13/01/2007 08:34
  • booby - you feeling a bit better? can you get anyone to come and stay with you for a few days, to help you out? I think i was told 26 weeks for weaning but that might just be my hv. i havent actually thought about it yet, dd not quite 20 weeks.

thanks for your support folks, i really appreciate it. i thing i will go to the clinic and ask the hv what i can do about reading dd's notes. it was fascinating reading mine afterwards - they were so detailed - but everything they told me about what was wrong with dd was such a blur, i was so tired and emotional. they were lovely in scbu but i was in such shock i didnt take a lot of it in.

nwgreenmum at your labour!

dh is away this weekend so i'm debating whether to have a pyjama day. not planning on going anywhere and dd happy on her playmat, rolling over, getting stuck, shouting till i help her then starting all over again!
