Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
PinkTulips · 09/01/2007 10:55

oh god katylou...... thats sound just like my house at the minute (especially ds 'swinging' jack and the damn 'hello mama, hello mama,'hello mama, hello mama, 'hello mama, hello mama.......') dd will be 2 at the end of the month and she sounds like a right match for you ds.... we'll have to introduce them when they'rte teens

booby..... breastmilk does taste differant during pregnancy and lots of babies will go off it completely. and 5 times is more than enough.... i'm not sure we even did it that often in a much longer timespan before getting preg with caleb!

hello pinchypants, you sound so organised! we don't have much in the way of routine here, this is as typical a day as we have......

8.30/9am we get up
9/9.30am ready brek for dd and chunks of fruit for caleb
10.30am(give or take an hour!) get caleb to sleep in my arms feeding and either let him sleep there or drop him in his cot and pray he stays asleep!
1pm-ish feed
2pm-ish feed
3pm-ish feed
4pm-ish feed
4.30pm dinner (caleb gets chunks of whatever we're eating or a soya yougurt or fruit if it's not baby friendly food)
5.30/6pm upstairs for baths and getting ready for bed.... caleb will usually fal asleep in his cot while dd is getting into her pyjamas
6.30/7pm story and milk for sarah then up to bed
8pm-ish caleb awake again... if i'm lucky i can get him back down with a feed
9pm-ish caleb awake for feed.... less chance of settling with a feed this time but i'll try for 20mins/ half an hour to settle him til i give up
10/11/12/1 get caleb back to sleep and crawl into bed myself

maybe i should start a routine..............

PinkTulips · 09/01/2007 10:57

should add caleb is usually awake and in the bed with me before i even fall asleep... little monkey!

BigHotMama · 09/01/2007 13:15

Wow pink, your day looks pretty hectic, I bet you dont get a minute to yourself bless!

Booby, arent you curious about getting pg test done?

We got no chance of getting pg here, am totally off sex still but at least DH is making jokes of the situation and not taking it to heart.

Lol Katylou at 8 - mum hits the wine, good girl!

Burstinbug, I go back to work but full time in 3 weeks am dreading it. Sounds like you need to get expressing and getting plenty of stocks ready, unless you could do one feed during your lunch if that possible? I'm sure i read smewhere working mums have rights to express during work hours? Could be wrong tho

Hi to everyone else hope your doing good x

PinkTulips · 09/01/2007 13:59

woo-hooo! we just got calebs car seat... it was 150 before the sale but between the sale and money off for it being ex-display (apparently it was only put out yesterday so that was lucky) we got it for 100 euros (bout 68 pounds i think)

am so pleased as this means we have a bit of money left over to put towards getting dd a new one if we can convince people to donate towards that rather than buy her things for her birthday. she's got one of the cheap argos ones at the minute that i just don't trust at all.... cheap junk!

burstingbug · 09/01/2007 15:10

BHM, I could try and arrange something with my mum to meet me at a half way point between her house and my work place and I could go into the first aid room to feed him and take him back to her. not sure work would let me have time to express, they'll say that I have plenty of time at home to do that!

nappyaddict · 09/01/2007 16:01

BHM - did you get my email?

nappyaddict · 09/01/2007 16:06

oh and could it be this that you read ...?

A woman shall be provided with the right to one or more daily breaks or a daily reduction or hours off work to breastfeed her child. The period during which nursing breaks or the reduction of daily hours of work are allowed, their number, the duration of nursing breaks and the procedures for the reduction of daily hours of work shall be determined by national law and practice. These breaks or the reduction of daily hours of work shall be counted as working time and remunerated accordingly.

nappyaddict · 09/01/2007 16:13

there is not a direct right to bf or express during work but the right can be won through sex discrimination and health and safety on the grounds that by not bfing it could be putting the health of the mother and child at risk. this might help you aswell bfing at work

burstingbug · 09/01/2007 16:18

Thanks nappyaddict. I'll store those links and will produce them at work if they give me any trouble.

eenysugarplumfairy · 09/01/2007 19:43

Hi All!

Welcome Pinchy and anyone else new I am really sorry I havent had a chance to read the thread. No one is pregnant right?? Was Booby talking about BFing while pregnant? I want to be pregnant!! I am dying to have another baby!

How are you all? I'm sorry I havent had time to read the thread and catch up. What have I missed?

We are ok Alex is a darling he is wanting to smell me all night in order to relax and go to sleep so I have him sleeping with an old Cure t-shirt of mine. He looks so adorable clutching it!

Hope you are all well - oh Alex weighs 19lb 10oz... he's huge. HV wants us to cut down on his formula and replace it with diluted apple juice a few times a day. Wish me luck!

dressedupnowheretogo · 09/01/2007 19:59

yes i was booby was just wondering thats all

been to a weaning talk today was very imformative

BigHotMama · 09/01/2007 20:52

Yo Eeny, where you ben hiding chick? Thats a good weight for Alex, good luck with the juice, we have given Jackson a few oz of orange & apple juice from Cow & Gate and at first he squirmed his face up but then loved it.

Jackson has just performed for mommy and daddy with 3 full rolls so he's got his new trick down to a t bless!

Nappy, havent got your email hun? Resend if you can.

Booby tell us more on this talk then, any tips?

Snowboo · 09/01/2007 21:03

OMG Eeny! Brave woman wanting no.2 already....! We are absolutely not never no way having any more. I've had my three pgs and thats enough thank you very much!
Besides, erm....oh just realised i actually have no real reason for not having anymore....Ho hum.

And Booby. Are you or aren't you?? Got a bit lost in it all.

So can we take bets on who will announce their next pg within the next few weeks? Bound to be one of us....

Hi Pink, what car seat you get? We need to sort Austins out as he is just too big for it.

And he has also taken to sleeping on his tummy but as i'm irrational i sit up and turn him. Ds1 is getting like me, he dreamt Austin turned into a sock! When i laughed he got upset and pointed out that it wasn't funny. Oops

Well i went to bed early last night as had a nasty rotten migraine. Haven't had one for months and it was a shocker but it eased off this morn. So i feel a bit brighter and more positive. At last.

Hello to all the newbies!

Snowboo · 09/01/2007 21:05

Congrats BHM on Jacksons rolls! Wahay!!!!

dressedupnowheretogo · 09/01/2007 21:09

im desperate for my next snow lol

cj is now 7.7 kg so were looking into new cAR SEAT S any suggestions anyone

main thing from weaning was

COOK IT YOURSELF

B4 6 MTHS MASH

AFTER 6 MONTHS DO BABY LED WEANING

were dead chuffed wen i told em abouth the blog from here

PinkTulips · 09/01/2007 21:18

yuck on the migraine front Snow.... know exactly how you feel...... get so depressed when mine come back after pregnancy. funny how you always wake up feeling so bright and refreshed though isn't it?!

we got caleb the Britax Eclipse SI... it's no 4 in the reviews if you want to have a look. it's fabulous, easy to put in, so comfy and relines easily... i can just reach back from the front with one hand and do it. we needed quite a snuggly supportive one for him as although he's the right weight he's still so little and spends most of the time in the car asleep and he's too little to sleep sitting up.

i'm placing my bets for first announcement on one of the dark horses..... feathers maybe..... or melsy, booby's too easy as she's trying!

Snowboo · 09/01/2007 21:18

Ah booby. So we have two in the running so far.... Anyone else? Pink?

So with blw can i just stick chunks of food on his tray and let him play? Not too hot on the blw concept

dressedupnowheretogo · 09/01/2007 21:22

basically if they want it they'll try it and not to get to het up onj it all apparently

and im not trying jjust trying to get my sex life back

PinkTulips · 09/01/2007 21:35

lol, not me..... i decided over xmas that 2 is more than enough for me!

blw is great, caleb just had lumps of our food and devours them with a big grin. much less messy than purrees!

Snowboo · 09/01/2007 21:35

Ah i see. Ok.

Sex life? ANd that is????

BigHotMama · 09/01/2007 21:36

Sex? erm whats that?

Where is Yellow, she hasnt been on for ages now? Hope she's ok! Maybe your right Pink and she will be back on with the shocker news lol.

I feel broody when I see tiny babies as Jackson looks so big compared to them now, but am going to wait at least another 18months so can enjoy our little man.

PinkTulips · 09/01/2007 21:40

mmmmmm, i have chinese food! sweet and sour chicken balls...... i'm in heaven! booby, don't you dare tell them how i paid for it!

Snowboo · 09/01/2007 21:42

Hmmm i think either Yellow or Eeny.

ANd with the car seat is he facing forward or backward still?

Oops, one glass of red and i can't type!

dressedupnowheretogo · 09/01/2007 21:43
