i'm here eeny.

dd is collapsed on couch, dp has disappearedand caleb is wrestling me/feeding, not sure which he's aiming for!

how are you?

sarahlou1uk · 09/02/2007 20:48

Booby - bought a copy of the magazine today and according to it you have sex once a month! They must have changed the copy and resent to the shops. The woman who has sex once a year is called Michelle.

Nice to put a face to a name finally BTW!

Love the photos as well (not that I'm pervy or anything!!)

dressedupnowheretogo · 10/02/2007 00:06

wow im so happy thanks for that sarah

eeny hope sal told you i called the other day glad to hear from you again

NbgsYellowFeathers · 10/02/2007 09:01

Oh I'm glad they've changed it!
Have you heard back from them Booby?

Nice to hear from you Eeny.

I've started a thread on Ellis's rubbish sleeping. Got quite a good response too. I just need to keep at it.

grannycrackers · 10/02/2007 11:26

hello everyone. i'm stumpydog - changed my name as i prefer this now i've been on mn for a while. i didn't realise when i first started there were already some dogs - pointydog and moondog. i know some people say they spend time reading posts and getting used to mn before posting, but i just ploughed straight in.

i am really enjoying ds at this age - nearly 6 months. i keep trying to remember to take plenty of photos and use the camcorder before he changes too much

i'll be buying the mag booby and look forward to reading it. do you think it was a good experience overall ?

dressedupnowheretogo · 10/02/2007 11:33

the drugs wont work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

before bed last night with a temp of 37.1 i gave her 5ml of medised and some tixylix and she still woke up covered in snot heaving with plegm screaming every hour from 2 so how unlucly am i

crackers the photoshoot was okish as im hairstylist wasnt impressed with there treatment of me everyone else got curlers or rollers or their hsair put up i felt iwasnt bothered with the photographer a very famous scottish man was lovely and incredibly nice to me mad postnatal thing i am

to be honest the writer was lovely too i found the pic editor a snotty bitch with an attitude also the stylist was very dismissive but overall the best bit was meeting melsy !!!!!!!!!!!! oh and the free lunch

im still feeling poo as well

sorrry i missed you eeeny!

BigHotMama · 11/02/2007 16:35

Booby I was around your neck of the woods last night singing at a place called The Diamond? Do you know it? Well its probably no where near you but I remember you saying you lived near Notts? Its in Mansfield so not that far away I guess! Must go buy the mag this week cant wait to see ya!

Yo Eeny, how you doing babe? We missed you, glad your back. In fact I just been reading our first post natal thread and realised how many moms dont post on here any more? Do you remember Trix, Kitegirl, Hoppybird, Snic, AJG & more??? Where they all go??

Ah now I remember the thread about little Maude, such terrible news . Can you do the walk on your own I suppose thats my only option at moment unless anyone cares to come to me in West MIds?

Just getting over the nasty lurgy, and got 2 wks left to go at work. Roll on the spring I say!

Jackson likes carrots yipee!!! Tried it twice before and he screwed his little nose up but 3rd time lucky I guess! Oh and he loves his bananas and rusks too. he's got a right little double chin so cute!

Hope everyone's well x x

NbgsYellowFeathers · 11/02/2007 16:53

Well Ellis has a bottom tooth
Love it when they get just one tooth through. They look so cute.
But I think this has been contributing alot to his bad sleeping. I was up all hours again last night so dh let me have a sleep in. When I got up, dh said all Ellis did was scream the whole time
Definatley a mummys boy

DD is alot better now too. I need to get ellis weighed but I darent take him to clinic in case he's harbouring the chicken pox.
I've also discovered that his favourite food so far is Banana. Everything else he faffs with but banana he just gobbles down

PinkTulips · 11/02/2007 17:08

well as if i hadn't had enough disease in my house already both mine got a vicious vomiting bug last night..... dd did a fair impression of the exorcist all over dp and Caleb almost drowned in his cot and spent 3 hours on my lap retching

i think i'm going to lose my mind if things don't improve soon. i've got so much washing it's going to take me a month to catch up, the house has barely been cleaned in weeks and i'm still feeling rotten myself and need some fucking sleep.

and to top it all off dp has decided now is the most appropriate time to quit smoking again so is being a pissy little shit and we're fighting like cat and dog.... he's being an unbearable little shit head and i swear to god if he doesn't cop on soon he's out the fucking door coz the last thing i need at the minute is some mood bastard giving me shit!

NbgsYellowFeathers · 11/02/2007 17:14

awwww pinky!!!!

Are the kids any better? You have my sympathies. My washing basket is over flowing too. As going soon as it looks like its going down, ellis pukes all over and dd throws dinner over everyone so it piles back up again!

Get dp some nicorette gum and pads!

PinkTulips · 11/02/2007 17:23

apparently 'nicorette is for losers, if i can't give up without it i might as well not give up'

NbgsYellowFeathers · 11/02/2007 19:35

lol pinky
Its going to be a touch time in your house then!!!
Good luck with that!

BigHotMama · 11/02/2007 20:36

Oh dear Pink sounds like you need a strong drink chick! Hope things get better, sounds like your man is being a right PITA. Thats men for ya! Nearly had a bost up with DH Fri night and now he's creeping up my arse like no-one's business

dressedupnowheretogo · 12/02/2007 13:36

how do i keep a house clean with two jobs a six month old how does not sleep and the worse cold/flu ive ever had

my step mum from here on known as the angel has kidnapped her again so i can get some cleaning done and all i wanna do is go to bed and die

BigHotMama · 12/02/2007 14:07

Booby, get your dp/dh to help out hun! I threatened mine with divorce and he soon got on his knees scrubbing the floor ha! He cleaned all my kitchen yesterday too, he's still grovelling

PinkTulips · 12/02/2007 14:18

ow! my ass!

i just landed on my bum on the floor in spectacular fashion..... was carrying a plate into the kitchen and my foot slipped on the tiles... i went down and the plate went flying into the air and landed on me and shattered. my hip is all bruised and my hands feel weird

poor dd is in shock and keeps asking am i ok (and is very upset about the broken plate as it was one of the ones she uses, lol)

even dp snapped out of he self indulgent pity fest to make me toast and tea and sweep up the plate so it must have looked as shocking as it felt.

why won't this week end?!

PinkTulips · 12/02/2007 14:18

and booby, you don't!

houses get dirty when mommy is sick..... don't worry about it, it'll still be there when you're better and if dh is bothered by it he can muck in and clean some of it can't he?!

BigHotMama · 12/02/2007 14:40

Ouch [SHOCK]

dressedupnowheretogo · 12/02/2007 20:27

my lo is still covered in snot and dribble and has a really chesty cough and i refusing medicine from a syringe

my step mum the angel has offered to have her every month on a saturday dont know wheter to take her up on it or not

eenybeeny · 13/02/2007 14:00

Aw Pink I am sorry hon!! You are a poor thing! Glad your DP was being helpful though.

Booby dont worry about the housework while you are ill! I know I am one to talk though.

I just cleaned the kitchen while Alex bounced around for ages in the door bouncer. It properly wore him out!

He doesnt roll over yet, should I be worried? Are your babies rolling over?

PinkTulips · 13/02/2007 14:14

eeny, he can sit up...... very few babies his age can do that and it's far more helpful than rolling!

just had a snotty whingy morning at toddler group, think she may need more AB'S

and i can't lie on my hip where i fell.... think i did serious damage, lol.

eenybeeny · 13/02/2007 14:18

thanks pink. He has miraculously been sitting since he was about 4 1/2 months but the rolling thing just isnt happening. I want to see him moving! :-)

I am so sorry you hurt yourself so bad! Buy yourself some Valentines treat to make up for it. Thats what I would do. Also hope Sarah is ok.

So what plans do you all have for Valentines Day? Sal and I just got a bottle of champagne and some chocolates. I am sticking to my weight watchers diet really strictly so that will be a treat.

hoppybird · 13/02/2007 14:42

Hello everyone!

not written anything in a while - been lurking some, but no time to type - yoohoo, BHM! noticed you were wondering where some of us were! I'm still here, but stupidly busy! Got some time now it's half term and I don't have to rush to and frm school with ds.

dd teething, has two sharp little front pearlies through on the bottom jaw since a couple of weeks ago - I'm sure all of you mummies with teething babies can appreciate this is a special time - LOL.

Not bitten me yet - am very proud to have 100% b/f so far, nearly up to the textbook 26 weeks (which is this week!)- but I've started giving her a few tastes since last thursday, just once a day. On different days, she's had a nibble of banana, a teeny bit of the potato/sweet potato mash we had for dinner, a little stewed apple I made for ds, and stewed pear. She loved the pear best of all.

I'm sorry to hear so many of your LOs are snotty - mine too, and my ds.

Just checked out the profiles - need to make one myself - am horrified at how young you all are! Also surprised there are a few of you close to me - I'm in Middlesex.

Pinky - sorry about you going flying and landing on your hip - I did that at the start of my pregnancy and then worried for ages.

booby - wow! about the magazine article - and great that you've met up with melsy - were you the first one to meet another August mummy?

gosh, look at this essay. I'd better stop before you all fall asleep.

BigHotMama · 13/02/2007 14:51

Hi girls

Eeny your lucky Alex can sit up...Jackson is 6 months old on Monday and still cant sit up unaided yet, cant wait till he can though must look so cute.

Pink have you come out in any bruises from the fall?

Just met my sister and mom with Jackson for lunch at the pub opposite my work. Was lovely seeing him and guess what he just cut his first tooth...

BigHotMama · 13/02/2007 14:52

Yo Hoppybird nice to see ya back hun!
