Hi ladies, thanks Indom for the suggestion of me starting a new thread. Seeing as Zach and myself have been knocking about on antenatal since November it will be lovely to have you all joining us shortly in the baby, rather than pregnancy conversations! Bring on the March babies!!!!

Good luck Paper! Fingers crossed for a quick one for you.

Paperblank · 22/02/2016 13:04

Me again Grin

I feel I should warn you that if you need to have a propess pessary induction it is not a lovely thing to have shoved up your fanjo!!

Thank you for all the good wishes - nice to know you're out there cheering us on
xx

QforCucumber · 22/02/2016 13:16

Ooo not long now paper am jealous, even with the pessary I'd still rather be where you are than sat at my dining table trying to do an nvq assignment (realised the due date for it is 2 days after baby is due, so mission is to complete it today - eurgh)

Hope everyone else is all ok. Must stop procrastinating now.

Me624 · 22/02/2016 13:33

Exciting paper! Live birth blogging!

I'm enjoying my first day of mat leave so far! I didn't manage to sleep in after DH left early for work but I'm going to have a nap shortly. Popped out this morning for a coffee with a friend, I've done some washing and now I've got the TV on in the background while I do some colouring in!

hayley I've been having a lot of tightening too, for the last 2 days. It's not painful though and I'm pretty sure it's not the start of anything for me yet. I'm totally paranoid on the look out for any little signs though, it reminds me of when we first started TTC and I got caught up in the 2ww symptom spotting! (In the end it took us over a year to conceive and i had to chill out, of course I didn't notice any signs at all the month it actually finally worked!)

hayleycookie · 22/02/2016 13:58

Me it's exactly like the tww! Finding myself googling stuff like "headache early labour" etc lol! I'm still pretty sure this little man is going to be induced 2 weeks over my due date but it's nice to have hope that these things could mean progress! Midwife says he is turned slightly less back to back and is head down so that's all good news!

Paper lol spare us no detail! We will not be put off by anything. Hope your fanjo is OK!

BeautifulLiar · 22/02/2016 14:15

paper noooo! That's what I'll be having...!

You ok QforCucumber? Haven't chatted for a while!

The cleaners hoovered up my bloody phone charger!! Ugh so annoying

BeautifulLiar · 22/02/2016 14:17

me and hayley it reminds me of the tww too! not that this baby was planned I keep checking my knickers hoping to find a big mucuousy ball of plug. But I'm boring and have never had that! Not fair Grin

Trinpy · 22/02/2016 14:18

Good luck today paper. That pessary does not sound nice but yay for another baby arriving soon! I'm so excited for you!

MrsBenWyatt · 22/02/2016 14:27

Good luck Paper!!!

I am doing absolutely nothing today! Had to have a 24hr heart rate monitor fitted at the hospital this morning (pulse has been over 100 throughout pregnancy) so I am trying to avoid doing anything strenuous.

Unfortunately, at 38 weeks pregnant even going up the stairs is strenuous!!! So far, I have had a three hour nap and eaten a salad! Now to crochet!

QforCucumber · 22/02/2016 14:32

Oh no beautiful charger broken?
All good here thanks, been using time productively and gutting out the house, figure the less stuff we have the less mess can be made when baby arrives (I hope this theory works)
I have been trying to be good and crack on with this nvq malarkey but mn is too much of a distraction - 3 hours of academic work is enough for one day me thinks.

hayley and me glad you guys are in similar situations, every ache I'm like Ooo Is this it?! Natural induction methods are now bookmarked in my phone too.

missd sounds like you've spent more time with the midwives than at home recently, hope everything is ok and you can get some proper rest before baby comes!

BeautifulLiar · 22/02/2016 14:36

Not long now though MrsBen!

Yeh the charger was ripped to pieces. DH said he'll sort something but for God's sake! I've also been decluttering the fuck out of the house. Half of what I owned practically is in the charity shop!

Really hope the weather warms up asap so we can all go for nice walks with our babies! This will be my first winter baby but it does feel more like spring...

ffauxlivia · 22/02/2016 15:06

eek good luck paper, hope that's the worst part you have to experience :) Hope mship and others with contractions are getting some more progress too!

Unusually for me I'm in CSC club after some horrible dreams. The least disturbing one was that I gave birth to triplets who were all huge (almost toddler size) and I conveniently had 3 boobs to feed them with. But I was so proud of birthing them that I forgot to do skin-to-skin and then couldn't actually breastfeed (one of my big fears). Very weird

I'm sitting here at work absolutely exhausted today. We did so much at the weekend - like missdee finally got spare room ready for baby after IKEA trips and furniture building, now no longer have baby stuff in boxes everywhere. Got car seat fitted and even managed some batch cooking. I feel so much more relaxed that we're ready for baby though just not mentally so please don't come yet

magpie hope you're over the worst of the flu!
mrsben yikes, hope it happens soon for you, your day sounds lovely!
beaut we live near a lake and I can't wait to go walking around it with baby. Found daffodils in the shops here (which as a welshie makes me very happy) - it always signals Spring to me so heres' hoping!

Crispylicious · 22/02/2016 16:06

Squee paper! All very exciting. I found the pessary insertion (and any cervix checks until I had an epidural) painful, so demanded gas and air for it! I hope it works for you. You're having a baby Grin

I'm meant to be working from home today, but like q and struggling. I think it's partly cos I'm tired (DD was awake again in the night!) and partly as all I can think about now is the baby. Am longing to be tucked up in bed watching crap TV...

Oh no re your charger beaut. DH broke his mobile and I insisted he got a replacement ASAP, as now is not the time to be sans phone!

ff well done on the baby prep. DH built the snoozepod yesterday. It's v cute. We still have lots to do though. Roll on mat leave next week...

Urgh must get back to work.

Missikat · 22/02/2016 18:04

Ooh Paper how's it going? Hope things have started to happen and it's not going to take too long for you. Baby no 3 is on the way!!

I had a visit from the family care team from the neonatal unit today. Zach has gained another 60g so is now 230g heavier than when he was discharged. He now weighs 4lb 5oz so getting there up to more like 'normal' baby sized. He seems to have recovered from his cold viruses too which is awesome.

Hope everyone gets a good nights sleep tonight. Ffaux your dream made me chuckle. Pregnancy dreams are the weirdest!

OP posts:
CharleytheFrenchPoodle · 22/02/2016 18:12

That's great news Missi, fingers crossed Zach continues to put on weight!
Good luck Paper it's very exciting getting live birth updates! Hope everything is going smoothly for you.
My consultant appointment went well and she's given me the go ahead for the birth centre woohoo! Just need to hang on until Thursday at least when I'll be 37 weeks and I'll be good to go! The pressure I'm getting in my pelvis and groin seems to be getting worse- getting stabby pains which have me doubling up occasionally- this baby must be doing some serious head butting of my poor pelvis Confused

IndomitabIe · 22/02/2016 18:55

Afternoon all! I survived the day pretty well in the end!

Sorry to hear about all the crap sleepers - I was nearly with you but tried to ignore the massively awake feeling that kept coming back!

Good idea about peer marking, Dobby, but it won't work for this stack sadly.

Beaut I hope you don't have a history of premonitions! I can't be doing with a labour that quick!

And they hoovered your charger?! What kind of people are they?

That sounds like bliss marmite. I know you'd rather have had the sleep but that peaceful time just before they wake up is one of my favourites!

Oh no MrsB, I can identify with that conflict! Hope you managed to bathe in bleach avoid it.

HR over 100? That must've been exhausting. Every time I get a wave of exhaustion I put my HR watch on and it's usually around 130ish, makes me feel terrible. I couldn't function like that continuously. Hope it's nothing too worrying.

Glad you've been able to rest TheM. But hope it gets going for you soon.

Ooh, exciting times for Hayley!

Eep! Paper it's today! (Must keep reading - hope there's an update by now!)... Lol! Thanks for the propess update!...

Hello Missdee! Wow you've been busy! (I'm on the iPhone app now, I can start a reply and then press the X to close it while I read on, and come back to it later - as long as I stay on the thread, anyway).

Ooh, good luck Q. Very organised of you! (3 hours is plenty for anyone!)

Oh no ffaux. Hope that's your lot of weird dreams now.

Crispy I'm with you on the brain full of baby and desire for daytime tv! Finding it really hard to care about work.

Excellent Zach news Missi! Well done you!

Great news Charley.

No more updates? Tenterhooks all evening it is then!

Does anyone want to come and declutter my house? It desperately needs it, but I never seem to get round to it or anything else.

I've been feeling very heavy and had a really twingy/achey sacrum today. I also keep almost getting cramp in my groin muscles (adductors? The ones at the top of your thighs that bring your thigh in). I also feel like I can't quite walk with my legs together properly (a bit of the John Wayne effect!). I don't remember this from last time. Does anyone know what I mean?!

Early night needed here. (Hope Paper can factor that in!) ThanksBiscuitChocolate for all!

MyNameIsSuz · 22/02/2016 19:12

Yes, indomitable, that's exactly what I've got!!! No idea what it means though, but it's really slowing me down.

Great news about Zach missi!

I can't read far back enough to remember what everyone said, but I sympathise with everyone feeling tired and achey. I've still got a horrible backache which I'm paranoid is a labour sign. I'm feeling much more ready but not quite ready yet! I need another ten days I think. First day of maternity leave without ds tomorrow, I'm going to nap SO HARD! In between all my cleaning plans of course.

maybebabybee · 22/02/2016 19:16

Paper how exciting, fx that your LO is here soon Smile

missi really glad to hear of Zach's progress, he's done so well.

38 weeks tomorrow and getting quite impatient now which is a bit ridiculous of me given he might not be here for another four weeks ffs! Getting really massive and uncomfortable now, really feel like I should be keeping active but it's such an effort to even haul myself off the sofa that I'm basically sitting on my arse all day. Freezer is full of batch cooked meals at least, and we have everything set up for baby. Still quite a lot of house stuff to declutter though - wish someone would come and do it for me! I'm not great at doing it by myself while DP is at work as I have a fear of spiders and I'm always worried I'll uncover one...Blush

Was in CSC last night with severe pain in left shoulder...seems to have gone now at least.

ffauxlivia · 22/02/2016 19:22

Aw missi that's amazing, it really is incredible how well Zach is doing considering how premature he was. You're doing such an amazing job and deal with it all so well.

I just came back from a 20 min walk this lunch time and was in agony by the end, braxton hicks, cramping, lower back pain - didn't think I'd make it back to office! All fine now I'm sat down but I salute hayley and your 3 hour walk at the weekend. Wasn't trijo signed up for a triathlon at 38 weeks? Shock feeling let down by my body for not co-operating with my image of still being sprightly and fit by the end

indom are you talking about waddling? Grin I'm definitely doing that!

IndomitabIe · 22/02/2016 19:28

ffaux, you know I think I might be. I did wonder as I waddled walked down a corridor earlier, and then tried to sort my legs out and walk properly! I also keep catching myself pulling all kinds of grimaces too, and having to remind myself not to moan and groan every time I move.

BeautifulLiar · 22/02/2016 19:30

Yay MissiKat fab news! Although I have to admit when you wrote "baby 3 on the way!" I thought you meant you were pregnant!! Bit of a shocker.

No history of premonitions Indom, just dream stalking. Although I pissed myself at your charger comment. I got home and she said "Erm, I hoovered this up under your bed, hope it was nothing important?" Then handed me half a fucking phone charger! Sigh...

Oh God I love decluttering (but hate spiders too maybe, which is why I haven't sorted the cobwebby bedroom cupboards yet). I wish you people were closer, I'd get your houses decluttered Grin also 38 weeks tomorrow maybe as we're due date twins. As much as I'm sick with fear about my apparent induction, I am glad I won't have to go majorly overdue.

Suz bet you can't wait until tomorrow! All mine are back at school and nursery tomorrow and I don't really have anything planned. Really should nap but it ruins my make up so I rarely do Confused I annoy myself!

Paper I hope your radio silence means you have a new baby or are well on your way to having one :) still can't remember why you had to be induced? Hope it's going well anyway xx

ffauxlivia · 22/02/2016 19:32

indom I was grimacing a lot towards the end of my walk. I definitely milk it in front DH as well, every time I get off the sofa, it earns me a lot of cups of tea :)

I also have a really heavy feeling in my vagina and it kind of feels swollen, like I've had rough sex (I definitely haven't!!) It's been on and off for a couple of weeks - is that just due to all the pressure do you think? Worried about my 36 week appointment on Friday as doc will do a cervix check and I know it will hurt!

maybe what have you batch cooked? Inspire me! We have a chicken curry, beef stew and spicy lentil soup in the freezer at the moment.

maybebabybee · 22/02/2016 19:43

I have batch cooked: macaroni cheese, chickpea and spinach curry, chicken curry, Moroccan meatball stew, Dahl, lasagne, a bunch of different pasta sauces, pizza dough, turkey burgers and fish pie. No room left in the freezer as we only have a mini one so that will have to do for now!

beaut would be so good if you were near - you could definitely come and de-clutter!!!

maybebabybee · 22/02/2016 19:53

Getting niggly little period pains. V annoying. I get them near enough every day and yet every day I go "ooh! Maybe this is it!" Hmm

ffauxlivia · 22/02/2016 19:55

maybe that is seriously impressive! Pasta sauces is an excellent idea ....
