Congratulations Rosie! Mia is lovely

Rhu You haven't 'failed' at anything by switching to formula. Its really not worth spending the newborn days feeling miserable when you should be enjoying your new baby.
Glad your ds is OK Indom but shame you missed out on your sofa day

Beaut aww poor Willow. I haven't said anything to anyone but I really hope any visitors will be clued-up enough to make a big fuss of Ds rather than just cooing over the baby. Although your post has made me think I should maybe mention it to childless friends before they visit so he doesn't end up feeling left out. We're getting him a Bing toy from the baby, which probably will seem like a more exciting addition to the family than the baby in his eyes!
missi not sure if you've already seen them, but those Tommee Tippee bibs which have a thicker padded bit that sits right up under their chin are great for sicky babies. Stops it pooling in the creases in their neck and behind their ears.
me I can't really add much to the amazing advice everyone's given so far re bfing, just wanted to say well done on managing another day, it sounds like you're doing a great job so far

Apologies in advance for the Tmi but - I had a painful but still fairly mild contraction this morning so had a little check to see whether I'd progressed any more past the 3cm dilated from when I checked last week. Anyway there was something that felt a bit like a water balloon in there
, and google tells me this is probably the membranes? I had a mw appointment today and baby is fully engaged now so I suppose that's the reason its like that, but it was still all a bit weird and scary! So I think I'm done with the diy checks now
