Hi ladies, thanks Indom for the suggestion of me starting a new thread. Seeing as Zach and myself have been knocking about on antenatal since November it will be lovely to have you all joining us shortly in the baby, rather than pregnancy conversations! Bring on the March babies!!!!

Yay, congratulations maybe! Sorry you had a rough ride, hope you're recovering. Can't wait to see a picture!

sherazade · 04/03/2016 17:46

Fab news me !!!! Congrats and can't wait to hear your birth story! Babies are coming really thick and fast now !

MyNameIsSuz · 04/03/2016 17:47

Sorry me, I don't know why I put maybe then!

IndomitabIe · 04/03/2016 17:57

Excellent news MrsE!

I've been checking up all day but haven't made a note of who's where. Sorry.

Congratulations Me! Sorry it was a difficult one, but glad you're ok and back with us.

Sher, you mentioned newborn posts being drowned out by the still-pregnant/live birth posting gang. Personally, I'd be sad to separate the group. I love reading about the new arrivals, and I'd love for people to post as much as they want about them. (Living vicariously through others!) But, if it's what people want then I'll set up another thread back on antenatal for the remaining gestaters.

MrsElls · 04/03/2016 17:59

Yay me! Glad he is here safe and sound in the end.

Woodenmouse · 04/03/2016 18:07

Congratulations me

Im getting very jealous of all these babies!!

marmiteandcheeseplease · 04/03/2016 18:30

Congrats me! Sorry to hear it was tough, cheeky back to back babies Confused all done now though yay. Hope you are recovering ok - can't wait to hear your birth story when you're ready!

Braxton hicks have been pretty much constant this afternoon but aren't getting any stronger- come on body, stop prepping for the birth and actually start the process of getting this baby out! Definitely ready for it now expect DD2 will still be clinging on in three weeks time

MrsBenWyatt · 04/03/2016 18:35

Congratulations, Me!!! What name did you go for?

Fantastic news, MrsE!

sherazade · 04/03/2016 18:37

indom I love reading about new arrivals too - keeps me going and makes my day! i just thought it might be a tad unfair on the grads because the whole thread is taken up on arrivals rather than there being a space for people to discuss newborn issues . (Being up all night with a newborn isn't as exciting as a birth announcement!) so the postnatal stuff is getting overshadowed however nobody has said anything so we can keep it this way if everyone's happy Smile

Trinpy · 04/03/2016 18:48

Congratulations me! No rush to give a full update - you know where we are when you're ready Smile.

Yay for being able to go home MrsE!

maybe I really wouldn't worry about what your cervix is up to. Although its always nice to know that things are moving in the right direction it actually tells you nothing at all about when your baby's going to show up. You could go into labour tomorrow, or any day really. Hopefully sooner rather than later though (then maybe your siblings could step up and organise the mother's day stuff this year?Wink).

Thanks Charley that's actually really reassuring that you've had to do the same thing in the past and your dd's obviously not been scarred for life by it! Also nice to know I'm not the only one who's a bit panicky about having a newborn and toddler. I think both baby and toddler are going to have to learn to compromise a bit (toddlers are great at that, right?)

Bloody hell marmite! 2-3 miles??? I struggled to walk 15 mins to the hairdresser and back earlier and you're much further on than me! Maybe I'm just a bit of wimp though!

vroc81 · 04/03/2016 19:16

Sher I quite like it that we've all moved together.. I imagine the newborn cuddles novelty will have worn off and discussions of sleepless nights and nipples will come as most of the babies are here...

Congratulations me sorry to hear it was a thoughy.

I'm booked in for induction on Monday... Not sure how I feel about that. Having been so active all pregnancy I don't want it all to go to pot at the end when they potentially have me stuck down being monitored etc?

docmcstuffins1 · 04/03/2016 19:20

Glad you're going home MrsElls, excellent news about weight, proof that mummies know best!

Congratulations Me! Very jealous that my due date buddy has a baby and mine is still stubbornly staying put!

I've bought my mum a card and little prezzie, but we don't make a big deal out of Mother's Day in our family. Would love to have had baby by Sunday so she can collect her present when she comes over for grandma cuddles (how lazy am I !)

IndomitabIe · 04/03/2016 19:21

Grin Sher

Now, I'm sure this is/will be nothing, but I've been having some waves of pressure this evening.

Doesn't feel at all like... anything, just pressure. And not from octo-baby obviously starfishing and pushing down on my cervix. (Though he has been rummaging around in there like a trapped bunny)

Actually, it seems to have stopped now that I've mentioned it. Forget it, I'm fooling myself!

So tired this evening. Fortunately DH took over DS bedtime and is now cooking. I'm starving!

How are the newborns? Please don't be put off posting, folks.

docmcstuffins1 · 04/03/2016 19:25

Vroc I have the same worry about possible induction, I desperately want to use the pool, or at the very least have an active birth. I hate the idea of being 'tied down' on a bed. Apparently many trusts have wireless monitors that allow you to still move around though, so may be worth asking if that's a possibility for your induction?

QforCucumber · 04/03/2016 19:39

Hi all,
Congratulations me - hope we hear from you soon.
beautiful she is just delicious, bet you're very proud.

I've had a busy day today been getting the new floor fitted throughout mist of our downstairs, just tidied up and went really dizzy, been laid down for half an hour now but heart rate is 135 bpm, giving it another 10 mins and will ring mat ward as its worrying me that it's just not slowing down. Dp won't be happy - football is on tv and kicks off in 5 minutes!

IndomitabIe · 04/03/2016 20:09

How are you feeling now Q?

maybebabybee · 04/03/2016 20:23

oh congrats me, how lovely! sorry to hear you had a hard time though Flowers

thanks marmite and trinpy - to be fair my siblings are doing things, I am just required to organise them IYSWIM. My mum's the same with her younger sister and said younger sister is 42 Hmm. I don't mind doing the cooking really, will distract me from sitting around getting annoyed that baby isn't here yet!

Q hope you are feeling a little better?

vroc I don't fancy induction at all either, my worry is I'll go to 42 weeks and they'll start pressuring me to be induced. I guess it's just one of those things you have to play by ear really.

indom I had that pressure thing last night too and got really excited - it tapered off though. Damn bodies giving us false hope!

marmite I'm seriously impressed with your walking, I walked a half mile to tesco and back today and had to have an hour long nap afterwards!!!

QforCucumber · 04/03/2016 20:43

indom any more pressure points? We need more baby's and doesn't look like this one will make an appearance any time soon!

Rang ward, keeping dp's fitbit on to keep an eye on it but they've said it's more than likely caused by dehydration and to have a lot of water tonight and through the night and call again in the morning if no better. That makes sense as thinking about it I've only had 2 cups of tea and a can of Fanta today, not the best drink diet really :-/

IndomitabIe · 04/03/2016 20:55

Get on the water, Q! Hope you feel better soon! (You'll over compensate now and be up 8 times to wee overnight!)

Pressure has given way to BHs (although, slightly more uncomfortable BHs). Definitely not anything else as they're bump-centred rather than cervix-focused. Not surprising really, I'm only 37+2.

MrsBenWyatt · 04/03/2016 21:12

Gratuitous newborn shot!

Ted is still feeding well and DD and DS1 seem to adore him. I am feeling quite daunted about having three young children, but if this one is half as lovely as his big brother and sister it will be fine!

March 2016 babies - 2 here already, many more yet to come!!!
IndomitabIe · 04/03/2016 21:26

Thanks MrsBen, he's a beaut! (I'm so ready for hours of newborn-gazing!)

marmiteandcheeseplease · 04/03/2016 22:41

Aw mrsben Ted is so cute!

indom I've been getting pressure/BH all day today but doesn't look like it's developing into anything, think my body is just gearing up for things very slowly!

Me624 · 05/03/2016 01:33

Baby me. His name is Archie.

Congrats to the other new mums on the thread! Beaut, MrsBen, Rhubarb - it's been a busy few days!
