Hi ladies, thanks Indom for the suggestion of me starting a new thread. Seeing as Zach and myself have been knocking about on antenatal since November it will be lovely to have you all joining us shortly in the baby, rather than pregnancy conversations! Bring on the March babies!!!!

Her temp is better, 36.6 but she has still got 3 layers of clothing and 3 doubled over blankets to get to that. not that anyone actually checked until I asked them to

maybebabybee · 04/03/2016 09:34

congrats beaut, she's lovely!

hope Me has a baby by now.

anyone else feeling like they'll go into labour today? let me live vicariously through you! 39+3 today and no signs of anything.

sherazade · 04/03/2016 09:42

She's gorgeous beaut
Lost my plug yesterday in one fell swoop and been really nauseous all night and morning. Never thought I'd be so happy to see mucus! However this all happened to me last time round and meant nothing!

MrsBenWyatt · 04/03/2016 09:55

Exciting, Sher! Keep us posted.

Yes, I have got the horrible injections, Missi. Wish it had been the other way round Grin

Nancy is gorgeous, Beaut.

sherazade · 04/03/2016 10:05

Ahh don't think it's anything to get excited about soon. Last pregnancy lost plug at 39.5 weeks didn't labour till weeks later!

docmcstuffins1 · 04/03/2016 10:29

She's gorgeous beaut!

Due date for me today. Felt a bit crampy this morning so got a big excited, but all settled down again now Sad. Just got back from MW appointment, she's booked me in for a sweep next week (they don't do them until 41 weeks here), but I really really hope I have my baby boy by then. Getting a bit fed up of bring pregnant now, especially seeing all these lovely babies on this thread!

MrsElls · 04/03/2016 10:36

Ooh sher they say every labour is different so maybe it is a sign this time round. Fx for you.

MyNameIsSuz · 04/03/2016 10:40

Ahh, lovely pictures Beautiful!

That's exciting sher, I think mine might be going too, not sure though as I don't remember losing it last time. Is it just lots of very thick discharge?

Completely exhausted after no sleep last night, but of course I'm now wide awake and weary. I did drop off about 5 but ds woke me up at half 6 and made me get up. Have loads to do today, because I'm a terrible person it's my niece's birthday today and her present is still sitting there, so I need to trek to the post office. Damn.

I'm getting sick of it too doc, but I do want another couple of days to top up my sleep. I guess it'll happen when it happens! Have a fridge full of pineapple though which I might get cracking on.

vroc81 · 04/03/2016 10:44

She's beautiful beautiful Grin

MrsE hopes she's fattening up nicely and you are allowed to go home!

Maybe I'm in the right place for labour but sadly not a whisper of a sign.. wasting another morning in the hospital for a limited amount of action, drugs have successfully lowered BP even lower than booking in so waiting for a doctor for a plan of action... At this rate I'll have given birth before I get a plan!

My midwife has got me booked in for discussing a sweep next week docs but I'm hoping I don't need that appointment, she suggested not bothering anyway which doesn't fill me with confidence..

Missdee2014 · 04/03/2016 10:46

Nancy is beautiful and you look amazing Beaut!

On the top up subject, I was on the high risk protocol with my wee unnamed guy due to his static growth and low birth weight and at no point has a formula top up been mentioned. Was advised to feed at least 3hourly (more if he wanted but not to go longer than 3 hours). He's been amazing at feeding, he's not yet 36 hrs old and I'm pretty certain my milks in as my boobs are mahoosive and in agony cos they r solid and full. I can't believe how well he's taken to the feeding so far - defo a boob man like his daddy Grin lol

I've a feeling he's slightly jaundiced today so hoping to have him at the window for a wee while n let the sun get to him a bit. Not too long tho as our windows r so draughty. I hate this hanging about waiting in for the midwife to visit. It's dp's birthday and I really want to get out and visit baby's great grandparents while the girls r at school.

Anyone bothered with constipation? I'm in agony with it. I've hust ran a hot bath n hoping that might help ease my discomfort n help open my bowels Sad

Missdee2014 · 04/03/2016 10:47

36 hours - he's almost 60 hours old. My brain is fried clearly lol

marmiteandcheeseplease · 04/03/2016 11:50

Beautiful pictures beaut!

Sounds promising sher and suz!

maybe I'm with you - 39+3 and not a sniff of labour. Mind you last time I didn't lose my plug until 36 hours in so not expecting any signs. Honestly I think this baby is staying in for at least a week. Going to take DD to the park this afternoon and hopefully the walk there and back will help get things moving - I went to pregnancy yoga last night and the 15 min walk there was very effective at getting baby to put pressure on my cervix! DTD last night (not very successfully) in a vain attempt to get things moving. Also planning on going out for a spicy curry on Sunday for mothers day. I'm really not holding out much hope!

Really hope me is ok and too loved up with a newborn to come on here!

sherazade · 04/03/2016 13:04

suz not like discharge really . Tmi alert - more like a big handful of brown/green/ blood tinged stringy snot Blush

CharleytheFrenchPoodle · 04/03/2016 13:12

Huge congrats to Beautiful and Rhubarb- gorgeous babies and gorgeous names!
Think I also lost some of my plug this morning Sher, it really is a bit gross isn't it?! Currently out shopping with DM and have had to sit down because of the pressure in my pelvis and have started with period type pains....been having these pains on and off for a few days though so not holding out much hope anything is starting!

MyNameIsSuz · 04/03/2016 13:13

Hmm, doesn't sound too promising then sher! Not sure what's going on. I definitely don't feel right today - I'm all clammy and lightheaded. I don't know if that's normal or not.

Woodenmouse · 04/03/2016 13:18

I have just got back from having a sweep. MW said she can feel his head so he should be ready to go. I've had a couple of twinges since but nothing major. MW gave me some aromatherapy oils for the bath to try and help things along and told me to take a bath and lie down so I will be leaving dh in charge of ds1 and going for a bath in a minute!! Fx that will get things moving!!

sherazade · 04/03/2016 13:27

Wooden and Charlie hopefully things will kick off for you both
Suz- for some women their plug is more clear than coloured and can come out in bits rather in one go. Not sure why mine is always on the grossest side of the spectrum!

marmiteandcheeseplease · 04/03/2016 14:52

Ooh sounds promising wooden and Charley - hope things get moving soon!

tmi alert but on the subject of mucus plugs I remember mine came out in labour with DD and I remember taking my pants off in the hospital and there being a big jelly like blob of bloody looking snot! Very gross Confused

I am absolutely knackered today. Actually hoping not to go into labour until Monday as I suspect weekends are not the best time staffing wise and I really want my home birth!

Trinpy · 04/03/2016 14:55

Beaut Nancy is so cute!! The photo of her in her little hat is adorable. I want a baby too .

I hope Cassidy has put on enough weight for you to go home MrsE.

marmite a spicy curry sent me in to labour last time (could've just been a coincidence but the contractions did start as I was eating!) so maybe you will have a mother's day baby!

woodenmouse fx the sweep works for you.

I hope losing your plug is a sign for you sher. They usually say that blood tinged means you'll go into labour within days or possibly hours, so maybe you were just unlucky lasdt time? At least you know your body's doing what its supposed to be doing to get ready. I'm losing mine bit by bit every day this week which is frustrating because I know its no indication of when I'll actually go into labour.

Had an awful evening last night - ds was super hyper and it was past 10pm before I finally got him to go to sleep. I did all the supernanny style stuff of being consistent, quietly and calmly leading him back to bed every time but after 2 hours of this he was still leaping up and doing Riverdance as soon as I put him back. In the end I had to shut the stairgate and leave him to fake cry while I went downstairs for a bit to cry/silent scream. I did that a couple of times before he realised he needed to start behaving and he went to sleep straight away. I felt a bit guilty because I know that's a pretty crappy approach to sleep training, but it worked Smile. Really scared about how I'm going to cope with 2 of them on my own at bedtimes now!

CharleytheFrenchPoodle · 04/03/2016 15:52

As suspected, mine has tailed off into nothing! I didn't expect anything to happen yet, but I am beginning to get a little bit impatient, even though I've still got 2 weeks until my due date!
Don't feel guilty trinpy- I have had to do exactly the same thing with DD- shut the stair gate and leave her for a little while. It's the only guaranteed way of getting her to behave and go to bed if she's acting up- there's no audience for her behaviour and so she stops pretty quickly!
I am also slightly panicking about managing with 2- I'm impatient for the baby to come, but on the other hand am worried about how I'm going to cope with a new baby and a lively toddler! Confused

maybebabybee · 04/03/2016 16:04

What - 4pm and no more babies?? Very disappointing Grin

I still can't feel my cervix so suspect I'm in it for the long haul. No constipation here, I've has regular loose bowels for weeks now.

Trying to organise mothers day for my own mother. Such a nightmare being the eldest - siblings still expect me to organise everything even at 39 weeks pregnant! So I shall be spending Sunday cooking. Probably just as well I've spent today glued to the sofa although I can't imagine the inactivity is going to help labour along!

MrsElls · 04/03/2016 16:53

Weight up, temperature up, jaundice levels down, we are going home!

marmiteandcheeseplease · 04/03/2016 17:35

Yay mrsells congrats.

Just went for a long walk to park, around park, and back again. Had a lovely catch up with my NCT friend who is due in April. Expect its too much to ask that walking 2-3 miles could kick start off labour?!

maybe can't believe your siblings are putting it all on you! My brother rang me the other day to ask if I was visiting Bristol this weekend and I said um no, he was like 'what, you're not coming down for mother's day?' A bit critically in my view, so I said yeah you do realise I'm due next Tuesday right? Haha that shut him up!

Me624 · 04/03/2016 17:41

Have not had a chance to read the thread but just checking in to let you all know that Baby Me arrived last night at 9.29pm weighing 7lb 7oz. He is an absolute beauty and I am totally besotted! He certainly gave me a hard time coming out though, will be back to tell you my story in a few days when I have recovered enough to relive it!

MyNameIsSuz · 04/03/2016 17:44

Great news MrsE!

I'm feeling similarly guilty about mothers day marmite, though I can't believe your brother! Mine have probably both forgotten... I've sent my mum a card and some flowers and will ring her, that's the best I can do I think. Unless I have the baby tomorrow or Sunday, in which case I'll get to see her as she'll be straight up!

I've got plans for tomorrow, lunch and dinner out because I'm a greedy social butterfly, so chances mine will come tonight/tomorrow? High I'd say! If not then I'll be taking ds somewhere active on Monday afternoon to get things moving Grin
