Hi ladies, thanks Indom for the suggestion of me starting a new thread. Seeing as Zach and myself have been knocking about on antenatal since November it will be lovely to have you all joining us shortly in the baby, rather than pregnancy conversations! Bring on the March babies!!!!

Ooh good luck rhubarb, me and beaut! Hope you are all having newborn snuggles soon!

maybebabybee · 03/03/2016 09:13

haha charley I do feel slightly better as keep reminding myself my bump is getting in the way!

Someone asked me was I going to shave my "area" before the birth the other day. I was Hmm as I think that would be an insurmountable task at this point in pregnancy - god only knows what it would end up looking like!

Trinpy · 03/03/2016 10:40

Good luck Rhu, me and beaut! This is so exciting!!

maybe I had a feel around a couple of nights ago to check on progress and it was too high but I checked again today and it was easy to feel (3cm dilated! Woo!). So maybe try checking again in a day or two?

Woodenmouse · 03/03/2016 11:13

Good luck everyone!! There seems to be a lot of action today!

I cant wait fors some baby updates!!

I have a sweep booked for tomorrow, MW thinks baby is ready to go so fx it works!!

CharleytheFrenchPoodle · 03/03/2016 11:34

Good luck for tomorrow wooden! All these babies- so exciting!
OK, well since you lot are bad influences I had a go Blush and if what I felt is right (!!) then it's just THERE- there was not much investigation needed at all...I'm guessing that's good?!

RhubarbAndMustard · 03/03/2016 11:40

Was just about to go into theatre but another emergency has come in and there is only one theatre. Have been pushed back to 1:30pm. Sad. They have let me have some water now, but no food. Still mild contractions but coming more frequently now. Hoping everyone else is ok.

maybebabybee · 03/03/2016 11:58

Charley yes if you could feel it easily I would hazard a guess it is low!! Which is good :) I am jealous. I am only 39+2 so I really don't know why I am expecting an imminent baby - there's every chance I'll go to 42 weeks!

Patience is not one of my virtues, clearly.

Sorry your section has been pushed back, rhubarb. Don't worry, not too much longer!

sherazade · 03/03/2016 12:28

mrsben snap we've got the same sleepsuit I think (mothercare?)
if you don't mind me asking what size is he wearing in that picture? im starting to think all the newborn ones I've got look tiny and the 0-1s look huge. Expecting possibly a 7 and a half pounder going by my previous babies who were 7.5 and then 8 pounds, although prepared for this one to be bigger/smaller of course.

ffauxlivia · 03/03/2016 13:38

Oh goodness 3 babies coming today!! Good luck everyone!! Can't wait for updates Smile

Paperblank · 03/03/2016 15:19

Come on babies Grin Auntie Paper is desperate to find out who's next xx

marmiteandcheeseplease · 03/03/2016 15:37

Just checking in - no updates from beaut or me, hope they are having newborn snuggles right now! Grin 😍😍😍

Hope rhubarb didn't have to wait too long and is also having snuggles now!

Have had some painful braxton hicks today and also tummy cramps - was hoping this was a sign but unfortunately have bad constipation so I think it's digestive cramps rather than any sign of labour. Def wishful thinking on my part!

MrsElls · 03/03/2016 15:46

Had our 5 day check at home and Cassidy has lost 11% of her birth weight, 1% over the magic 10% threshold, so we are back in hospital again for checks and blood tests. Had to do the same with ds and ended up being kept in. Cassidy's jaundice isn't as bad so fx it will be a quick check over and discharged again.

Some baby news would cheer me up...!

maybebabybee · 03/03/2016 16:03

Sorry to hear that MrsElls, hope she is ok Flowers

I notice rosie hasn't been around in ages, wonder if she has had her baby? Anyone else missing? Hope scared is getting on well with Calais.

Another of my NCT group has popped today - I'm SO JEALOUS. I feel really quite unreasonably jealous. DP keeps saying I should be glad of the rest but I don't think he knows what a pain in the arse it is being pregnant!

docmcstuffins1 · 03/03/2016 16:03

I'm too excited to get anything done, keep coming on here to see if there is any updates!

sherazade · 03/03/2016 16:24

Don't know how I missed that me is in labour too- hopefully all is progressing well good luck

vroc81 · 03/03/2016 16:57

Sorry to hear that MrsElls hope she's ok and your not kept in for too long!

I'm back at the day unit... Blood pressure was up again.. MW has conceded it just seems to be going up and down as the wind blows and some appointments they catch it high and others low but at least they are being thorough.. She said they might put me on drugs to manage it.. I was like can't you just evict her but apparently not without other symptoms...

vroc81 · 03/03/2016 17:20

Hmmm just text DH to say was waiting on the doctor before I get out the hospital.. His response, "I'll keep my phone out while I'm in the talks but my battery is running out".. He's in London, 2 hours away on the train and was in the Midlands 4 hrs away by train yesterday.. Is it too much to ask 3 days before my due date if he insists on galavanting wherever his company asks without ever saying no to them that he might at least be contactable?!

Sorry rant over...

Woodenmouse · 03/03/2016 17:21

MrsElls I hope everything is ok! Fx for you

I keep popping back for baby updates!! Where are the babies?

Dh told his dm today that I was having a sweep and she didn't know what that was. So he said they were going to try and bring on labour. She wanted to know how exactly they would do that. There was much hilarity as he tried to avoid explaining what they were going to do. She finished the conversation no closer to understanding what was happening!!

MyNameIsSuz · 03/03/2016 17:27

Sorry to hear that MrsElls, hopefully not a problem! My ds did the same, he was just very sleepy and not getting full feeds, once they stuck us on a regime of waking up and expressing extra he was fine.

That is annoying vroc, is there nobody in wherever he's having his meeting (presumably an office?) who could lend him a charger?? My dh is being similarly unprepared for it to happen, even though I'm due one week today and spent last night having regular pains in my back, he plays darts on a Thursday night and is all annoyed that he can't drink tonight! Still bloody going out though!

vroc81 · 03/03/2016 17:47

A university so yes there should be millions of chargers floating around.. And in fact my boss is also at this one so I can contact her if I need to.. But I think I'm just annoyed that I've gone off to multiple appointments today remembering everything and all he needs to do is have a charged up phone..

MrsElls · 03/03/2016 17:49

Blood tests are ok but her temp was low so we are being kept in overnight, they have given us a feeding plan which says bf every 4 hours then top up with 80 mls of ebm or formula. For some probably completely irrational reason this has really irritated me. Yesterday and today she has fed really well and I'm convinced she lost all her weight due to having a slow start, 80mls after breastfeeding seems completely unachievable for 5 day old baby. Dh keeps pestering me to feed her constantly but I don't see the point of getting her to have a few sucks every now and then rather than waiting till she is ready to have a proper feed.

BeautifulLiar · 03/03/2016 18:13

Sorry everyone! No 4g in the hospital. That was fucking intense Shock

Baby Nancy was born at 9:07am, and we are on the way home!

magpie I'm welling up at the World Book Day association! This baby has always going to be Nancy... but obviously there are Nancy Drew books and Oliver of course! Wow.

Anyway she's just gorgeous. She weighed 6lb and is so cute! So proud of myself :)

MyNameIsSuz · 03/03/2016 18:17

Yay, congratulations Beautiful!!!

marmiteandcheeseplease · 03/03/2016 18:18

mrsells sorry to hear about poor weight gain. I'd be annoyed with them giving me a feeding plan like that too. In my experience (well, other mums i know) they are very quick to push the formula if weight gain is slow, even if baby is fine in themselves. Of course if you're happy to give formula thats fine, but don't be pressurised into doing anything you don't want to (incl bf of course!). So long as she is alert and producing lots of wet and dirty nappies she's probably fine. I would say feed feed feed though even if only for a few sucks just to boost your supply as you may be able to express more then. But good luck whatever you decide to do. FX you're home soon Flowers

Trinpy · 03/03/2016 18:19

Congratulations Beautiful!!!! Can't wait to see a picture Smile.

Hope the other 2 are busy cuddling their newborns now (I'm jealous of you all).
