Hi ladies, thanks Indom for the suggestion of me starting a new thread. Seeing as Zach and myself have been knocking about on antenatal since November it will be lovely to have you all joining us shortly in the baby, rather than pregnancy conversations! Bring on the March babies!!!!

Good luck missdee and mship

magpiedreams · 01/03/2016 16:17

Sorry to hear that dobby, does not sound like the most fun way to spend a night/day. Hope you're able to get some rest now.

Hoping things are happening for missdee and mship and at least a someone will have a baby to share a birthday with indom!

I'm feeling totally exhausted and emotional today. Still not fully over the flu and beating myself up about not being completely well. Went shopping this morning and couldn't even get everything on my overly ambitious list and had to have a nap when I got home! Our cleaner was a bit stunned to find me lying in bed having a rest before the school run and very kindly said she often does that but I suspect she was lying to make me feel better!

Someone have a baby to cheer me up, please?!

MrsBenWyatt · 01/03/2016 16:20

It's all getting real here. Just feeding DD and DS before they go to sleep at MIL's and then it will be time for my lovely 'last supper' of steak and soft cheeses before I (try) and have an early night in preparation for tomorrow.

Most worried about the fasting aspect of the day - I don't cope well with lack of food or caffeine!!! Grin

marmiteandcheeseplease · 01/03/2016 16:43

Yep beaut also 39 weeks today! Managed to achieve nothing today but lounging around and surfing the internet.

dobby that sounds very stressful - hope you're ok now! Glad baby is OK.

Good luck tomorrow mrsben

Hope things have progressed a bit more for missdee and mship!

Woodenmouse · 01/03/2016 17:13

How's things going missdee and mship ?
Good luck for tomorrow MrsBen

magpie I hope you're feeling a bit better Flowers

I haven't even had a twinge today, I feel like my boy is never going to show up!!

Ds1 has a hospital appointment on Thursday, I'm starting to worry I'll be in labour and unable to take him!!

MyNameIsSuz · 01/03/2016 17:29

Oh that sounds rubbish dobby, hope you're resting up now at home.

I'm similarly exhausted magpie, have done so little today. Quick walk into town, tidied a minimal amount, emptied and put away my work handbag (hooray!). Yesterday's cat wrestling (getting it to the vet) really took it out of me! Just back from the childminder's and we're watching tv while easy oven dinner cooks for ds (terrible mother!). I've also cancelled my place at preggo aerobics, just not up to it. Will endeavour to do my yoga DVD instead!

I've joined and become inspired by a Facebook page called 'can I breastfeed in it? Uk', and am now planning post-baby outfits with gay abandon! Last time I pretty much lived in loose tops and jumpers over long h&m stretchy vests, jumper went up and vest went down for minimal exposure. But he was tiny over the winter and the summer wasn't especially warm, I don't know how much I'll be able to rely on that if it's a hot summer! Am I the only one thinking about this? Too much time on my hands perhaps!

MyNameIsSuz · 01/03/2016 17:31

Oh, and I've been feeling a bit period pain-y, not the big stabby kind but the dull ache kind. And stomach has had a bit of a clear out, and i have been eating allllllllll day! Maybe the start of something Smile

Woodenmouse · 01/03/2016 17:38

Ooo good luck suz I hope it is the start of something!!

MyNameIsSuz · 01/03/2016 17:43

I don't think it will be wooden, but would be nice! I'm sure half of us are frantically symptom spotting and reading too much into every little twinge Grin

Woodenmouse · 01/03/2016 17:57

I've been doing exactly the same!! Every twinge I'm thinking this is it!!

Trinpy · 01/03/2016 18:05

Hoping the lack of updates from missdee means things are getting moving with the induction.

Beautiful when dh and I first moved in together and were also skint we found a game of guess who in one of the cupboards and used to play it every night. I like to think I'm a bit of guess who expert now Wink. Enjoy!

Q in that case maybe drop lots of huge hints about how you're soo busy on mat leave and then point her in the direction of a new hobby?

Glad everything is ok with baby now dobby but it sounds like a very long/worrying day. Early nights for all you tonight?

magpie you're a heavily pregnant mum recovering from the flu and you spent a large part of today trawling round the shops - I don't think anyone should be surprised that you needed a rest! Don't overdo it; you need to reserve some energy for when the baby comes!

MrsBen nice choice for your 'last supper' Smile. Good luck for tomorrow!

woodenmouse don't suppose you've got anyone who could take ds to his appointment in an emergency? Who's looking after him when you're in labour?

All went well at my growth scan today. Baby is currently estimated to be a tiny 6lb 4oz at nearly 37 weeks. I know those estimated weights can be way off and he could still have another growth spurt over the next 3 weeks, but I'm quite excited about possibly having an average-sized baby this time Smile.

marmiteandcheeseplease · 01/03/2016 18:26

Ooh suz sounds promising- hope this means things are starting for you! I've also been on the can I bf in it fbook group religiously! Last time I lived in vest tops under t shirts, doing one up one down. But hoping to be a bit more ambitious with clothing this time!

DP is at football tonight and I can't be arsed to do DDs bath by myself so just going to wait till he gets back and she can get in the shower with him (luckily she loves having showers). So its time for some sofa and TV until he gets back. Fail parenting but at 39 weeks I think I can cut myself some slack...

Paperblank · 01/03/2016 18:44

I am envious of all you yet to go into labour, been chatting to my mum about my labour and delivery this afternoon. She was with me and DH when Martha was born and was absolutely brilliant.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat and am quietly planning baby #2 don't tell DH

Missdee2014 · 01/03/2016 19:23

Still no baby. Beaut my other inductions were quick. 1st time was given prostin at around 9am and delivered at 5pm - they broke my waters at 1pm. 2nd time prostin at 3.30/4 and delivered just before midnight - waters broke themselves about 20mjns before delivery.

Been having contractions since about 3.40/4 today every few mins. Still only 2cm but going on the monitor in another hour or so again n see what happens from there, they may break my waters as they don't want to distress the baby by giving another prostin if not absolutely necessary. They're being very caution as baby is so small.

maybebabybee · 01/03/2016 19:38

Another one over analysing every twinge. Have decided to try to.ignore everything unless it carries on for a prolonged period of time. 39 weeks today but I'm not expecting him til after my due date.

IndomitabIe · 01/03/2016 19:48

Thanks for the birthday wishes! BlushGrin

Hoping I'll have a birthday buddy from TheM and Missdee by the time I get to the end!

Beaut, that is rubbish about your boot. Have you got a button on the key? Mine only works with the key button (which is how DH got locked out of it over half term!)

Oh no, dobby, that sounds stressful. Glad everything's ok though.

Oh, magpie! Hugs for you! You know you're being hard on yourself. Never feel bad about a nap, naps are the best!

Good luck, MrsBen. I'd feel the same about the fasting!

DM has kindly bought me some nursing tops, but really I'm normally the vest & t-shirt type so I'll be sticking to what I know! (Last time I changed myself and my wardrobe in some attempt to be A Mum and ultimately lost myself and was quite unhappy. I recovered myself by about 18 months. This time, I'm doing it my way! in a hoody)

Woah, that's ambitious Paper! I quite enjoyed my first birth, despite the pain, ambo transfer and tearing! But there was no way I was going to do it again for a while! (Though, I did find pregnancy a lot harder last time!)

Keep going Missdee, hope it picks up soon!

Nothing from TheM?

IndomitabIe · 01/03/2016 20:43

Octobaby is fully starfishing in there this evening. Shoving his head into my cervix. Got a constant low ache atm. (And the pressure was amazing when I just went to the loo.)

I'm finally 37 weeks tomorrow, and though a tiny part of me has now started getting excited, I don't actually think it'll be anything.

Me624 · 01/03/2016 21:12

Sorry you had a stressful day dobby - glad baby is ok though.

I haven't made any plans for breastfeeding wear at all! I figure at first I'll be at home with boobs out - will have to sort something for when I start venturing out though! I've got plenty of stretchy vest tops already so will try the one up one down trick with those and my normal t shirts!

Keep your spirits up missdee!

Got my 40 week appointment tomorrow (although will only be 39+5). I feel like the baby may have dropped a bit more - everything has been a bit achey around my bikini line this afternoon so wondering if that's the pressure of his head. Still convinced he's going to be late though.

MrsBenWyatt · 01/03/2016 22:17

For breastfeeding I do the long vest under another top. In fact, I started doing this almost six years ago when DD was born and I have done it ever since, even when not BFing!!!! I can't remember the last time I wore a top without a vest underneath! Grin

sherazade · 02/03/2016 01:53

Belated happy birthday indom
CSc here just broke down to dh about how fed up I am of this cramping / abdominal pain and feeling really emotional and like i can't cope
I've brought a few 'seamless nursing vests ' from jojo maman Bebe on the recommendation of a friend. Drop down for bfeeding but they also offer tummy support which is a selling point for me.
Good luck mrsben
Hopefully we'll have a few new additions today!

Missdee2014 · 02/03/2016 03:37

No birthday buddy I'm afraid Indom. He's a 2nd March baby! And very quick at that.

Down to labour ward while still 2cm for my waters to be broken. With 40 mins of them breaking baby had appeared! And very nearly on the floor. Let's just say, midwifes were amazing but Definately did not expect that quick. My labours recorded as 57 mins!!

Baby boy, as yet nameless and weighing s tiny 6lb 0.5oz.

MrsBenWyatt · 02/03/2016 04:11

Congratulations, Miss, can't wait to hear what you've called him! Sounds like a great birth!

A birthday buddy for this little guy, who will be exiting through the sunroof some time this afternoon!

I may have got about an hour's sleep if I am lucky! So hungry now! Leaving for the hospital at 5.30.

Woodenmouse · 02/03/2016 04:23

Congratulations missdee can't wait to hear the name!!

And good luck MrsBen

MrsElls · 02/03/2016 04:33

Aah congrats miss, welcome to the joys of night feeds from here on in!

Missikat · 02/03/2016 04:34

Huge congrats Missdee! Less than an hour, that is impressive! Can't wait to hear his name, and see a pic. Well done you.

Good luck for later today MrsBen! Hope all goes well and you are not waiting around with no food or caffeine for too long.
