Hi ladies, thanks Indom for the suggestion of me starting a new thread. Seeing as Zach and myself have been knocking about on antenatal since November it will be lovely to have you all joining us shortly in the baby, rather than pregnancy conversations! Bring on the March babies!!!!

Huge congrats MrsElls. She is beautiful and wow to your 2 hour labour!!

Missdee2014 · 27/02/2016 15:32

Congrats MrsElls! She's beautiful and well done on the quick labour!!

I'm hoping to be next! Back at hospital this morning for sweep and they found some protein in my urine also. Cervix very favourable, 1-2 cm dilated just now. Cervix apparently very thin and soft. Doc said she could easily have broken my waters if needed this morning! If I don't go over the weekend then back Tuesday morning for induction Grin

Woodenmouse · 27/02/2016 16:00

mrsells she is gorgeous and I love her name!!

I'm getting massive labour envy too. I'm due on tues so I've still got time. I'm booked for a sweep Wed if nothing happens. Ds1 has a hospital appointment on Thursday tho so I'm really hoping he's here by then!!
With ds1 my waters broke while I was having Sunday lunch with my parents and I'm going to theirs tomorrow for Sunday lunch so I'm hoping for a repeat of last time!! I've scrubbed the house today just in case (I was also hoping that might bring on labour).

Good luck missdee I hope it's soon!!

Paperblank · 27/02/2016 17:12

MrsElls

Congratulations Flowers Cassidy is beautiful.

I have been in a cocoon of Martha adoration...she's 3 days old and I am totally smitten.

Miss Martha Moo is not very keen on sleeping in her crib but we're getting there. She lay sleeping last night holding my finger - my heart almost burst with love.

We've had open house today so that our friends can come and have a cuddle and she's been as good as gold, and spoilt rotten. She's got more clothes than mothercare now! I know that everyone says you get given loads of presents but I honestly don't think we'll have to buy anything for months.

Thinking of you all xx

BeautifulLiar · 27/02/2016 18:45

Congratulations MrsElls!

MrsElls · 27/02/2016 19:46

Thanks everyone, we've got to stay in overnight because she would rather sleep than feed (ds was exactly the same), they think she swallowed mucus as she was born and needs to clear that to feed properly, she has had colostrum from a syringe and need to wake her up soon to try to feed her again. Funny how she is so like her big brother!

MyNameIsSuz · 27/02/2016 19:59

Congratulations MrsElls, she's gorgeous!

Sounds like you're getting on brilliantly paper - I'm quite jealous now of your happy new baby times!

After my panic this morning, the baby has most definitely woken up. And I have a sick three year old - I'm crossing everything he just sleeps and isn't sick again in the night! Oh well, it's quite nice at least not having the panic about having to take time off work for preschools 48 hour rule.

sherazade · 27/02/2016 20:12

Congratulations mrsellis she's absolutely delightful !

shieldbug · 27/02/2016 20:24

Wow, Congrats MrsElls; so impressed by your quick labour! What a lovely little girl and a great name to match. Hope everything is ok to go home tomorrow.

Suz glad to hear baby is moving normally now.

Missdee fx for getting things started this weekend. Good luck!

Due on Weds and v Envy of those of you who are queue jumping Grin

Crispylicious · 27/02/2016 21:04

Awww congrats mrse! That's lovely news. Good luck with the feeding. And paper lovely to hear of how loved up you are with your little one.

missd sounds like things might start happening for you veh soon.

suz am pleased to hear that the movements are back to normal. I've noticed that if I'm extra windy/bloated I can't feel movements as strongly, it's really odd!

Tmi but think I'm loosing my mucus plug. Almost every time I've been to the loo today there's been some green snot. I've had mild back pain too, although that could be to do with the walking I did today. I'd like the baby to stay put a couple more weeks please, as still have a few things to sort out! But at least it seems like things are being prepped.

Someone asked about gbs up thread? If you're tested from 35 weeks +, you can be fairly certain that the result will be accurate when you go into labour. Still can't believe the NHS won't test for it, even if you've had it in previous pregnancies.

TheMshipIsBack · 27/02/2016 21:18

Congratulations MrsElls! What a cutie Flowers

Great to hear you've got a bopping baby again suz, they do like to scare us, eh?

Sending good sleep wishes to all tonight!

Trinpy · 27/02/2016 22:29

I did post something earlier but it seems to have vanished. It was when mn was being a bit slow this morning so maybe it didn't load in time.

Anyway, huge congratulations to MrsElls. Gorgeous baby and a lovely choice of name. Slightly very jealous of your 2 hour labour 2 weeks early. I hope my baby is busy taking notes on how this being born thing ought to be done!

I'm glad to hear your baby has started moving around again Suz; I know how worrying it is when they have a quiet period and it makes it even worse if the mws don't seem to be taking your worries seriously. BabyTrin used to be pretty consistent with his movements throughout the day, but he's recently started being really still for ages and then just as I'm starting to get panicky, he wakes up properly and starts bouncing around like mad. I hope this is all normal but I think because there's been more focus recently on stillbirth and noticing changes in movement its making me super aware of every movement.

Crispy I'm sure that's just your body laying down the groundwork now for a quick, easy birth in 2 weeks time Wink.

Paper Martha sounds so sweet! I'm extremely jealous of all the newborn cuddles you're getting. Enjoy Smile.

I'll be checking this thread after lunchtime tomorrow woodenmouse to see if your plan worked (if it does then I'm definitely going to make more effort to cook roast dinners over the next 3 weeks).

I can't believe how many of you will be reaching your due dates next week, and several babies will be arriving through c section/induced labour soon too. It seems like yesterday that we were all getting our bfps and now all our babies are coming... I think all these pregnancy hormones are making me a bit emotional this evening!

Thank you for your sympathy about dh being a pita over work yesterday. He was temping for years before he got this job so I think he needs to see the bigger picture that's he's obviously going to have to gain some experience in a less than perfect job for a while to give his CV a bit of a boost. Hopefully this will be the end of all the drama for a while. A did get a lie in and croissants for breakfast this morning as an apology so its not all bad Smile.

IndomitabIe · 28/02/2016 03:55

Morning all, I'm in CSC tonight but because of DS. First he woke up with a wet bed (boy hands in pants = nappy malfunction) then he had a bad dream, so I'm now sitting in his room waiting for him to fall asleep. (A rare occasion where I was hand-picked for the job over DH!). He wanted to come into our bed, but I thought that might be the beginning of a difficult habit, so this seemed like the better option.

Interesting on the plug front, crispy! Last time, there was about 10 minutes between me noticing mine in the loo and contractions starting. This time I'm sure I've been seeing bits for ages. Hope yours is more of the former.

Shield! So close to DDay! Fingers crossed.

Suz, glad your wriggler got back on form, but sorry you've got a sick little. That's no fun at all. Was it you or someone else that mentioned being more aware/concerned about it now that we're near the end? I get that - it's like, I've come this far, I've put so much into this, I can't have it go wrong now!

Hope your night in hospital isn't too bad, MrsElls. I remember not being able to sleep at all. Are you finding it different/better second time around?

Ahh, Paper, an open house sounds ideal! Glad you & Martha are doing well.

Wooden, I hope scrubbing the house does help to encourage things along for you. (I should try it myself!)

QforCucumber · 28/02/2016 04:08

Am here with you tonight indom woken up with awful heartburn and though baby is moving I've gotten myself all in a tizz that it's not enough and the movements are too shallow so now I can't get back to sleep. Team that with backache (decided to clean the oven and was bent at a dodgy angle for too long last night oops) and a dp snoring as he's full of cold and I think I'm in for a long night.
Hope your d's drifts himself back off shortly for you.

trinpy glad to hear things levelled out amd got better at home, a lie in is a wonderful treat these days.
suz another one wishing your wee one well soon and glad to here baby perked up!
Oooo crispy looks like you're body is getting prepped to go Smile

IndomitabIe · 28/02/2016 04:17

Oh no, Q. Have you got a wheat bag or hot water bottle you could put on your back? I usually get little wriggles overnight rather than big leg sweeps. I kid myself that this means he'll sleep at night when he's born (DS was the same. He didn't sleep!). If you're worried, I expect there'll be a midwife on-call to speak to.

DS appears to be asleep. I'm going to finish reading your post and sneak back to bed. I'm starving - but I've got a box of cereal bars in my bedside drawer! Just got to try to open them without waking DH!

RhubarbAndMustard · 28/02/2016 04:22

I'm here too Q and Indom. I'll make us some Brew!

Indom hope little man drops off soon and you can creep back to bed. Q back and pelvic pain for me too. Mine was from hoovering, cleaning the bathroom then doing the weekly shop. Let's hope our nesting means things are happening soon.

Trinpy I now really fancy croissants! Glad DH made some amends.

Crispy I'm jealous of your plug loss! Fx things on the move for you and wooden.

MrsE and Paper loving the newborn updates.

MrsBen how is your lovely spa weekend going? Not long for us now. Smile

Crispylicious · 28/02/2016 04:34

Checking into the CSC resort here too. Pulls up a bar stall and orders Wine all round (surely we're allowed a small one now ?!)

CharleytheFrenchPoodle · 28/02/2016 04:46

Congratulations MrsElls! What a lovely little girl Flowers
Another one checking into csc. Been restless all night with niggly back ache and now pelvic ache has started and DD has just woken up. I could have done with a good night's sleep but think part of the problem is I'm worrying about tomorrow (today?) as DH is away all day in London watching a bloody cup final. We live approx 4-4 1/2 hours away and he's setting off early and won't be home until very late. I really don't want things to be happening whilst he's gone! Plus I'm going to have to deal with an energetic DD on little sleep Brew

Woodenmouse · 28/02/2016 05:28

I'm also joining the CSC.

indomitable I hope your ds has gone back to sleep.

Q I hope your back is feeling better and you can get some sleep.

Rhubarb fingers crossed it will be soon but I've been thinking that for 2 weeks!!

Charley how long have you got left?

CharleytheFrenchPoodle · 28/02/2016 07:05

I'm 37+3 today, so still a couple of weeks, but my DD arrived at 37 last time so who knows! Confused

MyNameIsSuz · 28/02/2016 07:15

Oh no, sounds like the csc was busy last night! Hope you all get a chance to catch up with a nap today. Charley, plenty of tv???

I did get woken up by ds throwing up in his bed, twice, but dh dealt with it which is very unusual! So I'm letting him have a lie in and am watching Thomas with a slightly quiet and dehydrated wee boy. Big baggy eyes all round.

Q, I hope yours perked up a bit - I felt exactly like that yesterday, and once the thought is in your head it won't go away until the baby starts to get punchy again.

Wishing everyone nice chilled out days today! Dh finally built the cot and drawers yesterday, just need to move the bed over today and move my bedside table etc to fit it into the bedroom. Feeling nice and prepared! One more week though please baby.

IndomitabIe · 28/02/2016 08:02

Oh no Suz. Pukey children is my most feared thing. Hope the worst of it is out of the way.

DS did go to sleep and I snuck out of his room around 4ish. It then took ages to get myself back to sleep, not helped by DH's amazing ability to start snoring like a fucking tractor every time I was just drifting off Angry. So it was gone 5 by the time I slept again.

The cat then appeared around 6ish (along with hip cramp), then DS reappeared around 7ish.

I'm being grumpy. DH finally got up to feed the pair of them. I'm so uncomfortable & grumpy there'll be no more sleeping for me, but I'm staying in bed on principle! (Grr)

MyNameIsSuz · 28/02/2016 08:12

Oh no indomitable, sounds awful! Definitely stay where you are, demand tea and food!

IndomitabIe · 28/02/2016 08:37

In fairness, it's frustrating but not that bad! Tea has already been delivered, apparently croissants are on the way!

MrsBenWyatt · 28/02/2016 09:35

Oooh, sounds like there may be some more babies very soon!

Spa was fantastic. Had a 90 minute mother-to-be massage and used the spa facilities yesterday. We are the most delicious meal ever and then had a good night's sleep without children waking us up!

We were going to go for a swim this morning, but slightly overindulged on room service (smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, porridge, granola and pastries Blush) so it's looking unlikely in case we sink!

Hoping to meet up with some mums and toddlers from the MN April '13 thread this afternoon - which is exciting! Grin
