Hi ladies, thanks Indom for the suggestion of me starting a new thread. Seeing as Zach and myself have been knocking about on antenatal since November it will be lovely to have you all joining us shortly in the baby, rather than pregnancy conversations! Bring on the March babies!!!!

I think quite a few of the ones on the FB page are actually due the last week in Feb - I'm due on March 20th and most of them were always 3-4 weeks ahead of me.

MyNameIsSuz · 26/02/2016 08:22

Not long til March though - I just need to get past Monday and a leap baby is no longer a threat! Have a feeling that on Tuesday it will all start to feel very very real, and I'm not due until the 10th.

marmite my ds has been doing that too, giving me lots of kisses and saying he loves me - my heart!!! Hard to know how best to make him feel secure. That said, he was up at 6.30 singing a song he'd made up... "jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way POO" on repeat.

maybebabybee · 26/02/2016 08:58

Morning all! Was woken up last night with very intense left lower back pain...thought something was happening but all seems to have vanished now!

Lots of Cake to indom, Hayley and anyone else having a bit of a crap time.

Not heard from neh or Rosie in a while have we?

Got tenants coming to view our flat which we have to move out of on April 26th. Bloody lettings agent being really pushy about it. I'd asked for only set days and times but they keep calling at the last minute. Having to stand my ground as have to hide my cats every time someone comes over which isn't that easy! Current trick is putting the radio on and shoving them under the bed in cat carriers Blush

hayleycookie · 26/02/2016 09:06

LOL at your DS Suz That sounds like a fun way to wake up! My DS had another late night last night, and was still up early again this morning. I know he's going to be a bit of a pain later when the tiredness kicks in, so bracing myself for that!

Had a really fecking spicy Madras last night, and then dtd this morning (which I think deserves a medal). Trying most things to get stuff started, but like Suz I also do not want a leap baby!

Congrats to all the ladies on their last day before mat leave today!! Hope it goes well, and fast for you all

MrsBenWyatt · 26/02/2016 09:09

Hi all.

Beautiful any news on a date yet?

Rubbish sleep again last night, but going away tomorrow for a spa weekend, so super excited about that!

I am busy planning Tuesday night's "last meal" before baby, as I have to fast from midnight Sad. Thinking rare steak and a (small) G&T, with a hugely calorific pudding - surely it can't harm the baby at that point? Any suggestions?

As I am third on the list for theatre, I am expecting to not go for section until mid-afternoon at the earliest, so I will be ravenous by then Cake Chocolate

How is everyone else?

maybebabybee · 26/02/2016 09:13

MrsBen I've been eating rare steak my entire pregnancy Blush

MyNameIsSuz · 26/02/2016 09:15

Ooh good idea MrsB! Steak and gin sound perfect, maybe a whole family sized tiramisu for pudding? Since I don't know when mine is coming, maybe I shall take this attitude towards dinner every night until the baby comes Grin

That sounds really annoying maybe. I think as hard as it is, I'd be tempted to ask if a friend or relative could take the cats until we moved as it's less than a month. Would that be an option?

maybebabybee · 26/02/2016 09:18

I don't have anyone who could take them suz to be honest, most people I know who would be willing have other pets. But we are in London so in all honesty the flat will probably go very soon. I'm just grumbling!!

MyNameIsSuz · 26/02/2016 09:20

That's a shame. In that case, fingers crossed they find someone quickly! Are you moving far?

maybebabybee · 26/02/2016 09:26

Just to the other (cheaper) side of London as we're buying our own place. Not that we've exchanged yet so could be homeless come the end of April! We asked our money grabbing bastard landlord if we could go on a rolling contract but he said no .

MyNameIsSuz · 26/02/2016 09:29

Oh blimey, that sounds stressful, I hope it all goes well!

sherazade · 26/02/2016 10:02

hope everyone is getting on ok this morning
sympathies to those of you with pregnancy and toddlers or pre schoolers, it's hard! mind you can I elaborate on why it's also tricky having older children?
I've had everybody telling me how wonderfully easy it must be for me having 9 and 10 year old girls. No they are not my domestic aides and they are not tidy little princesses, they are loud, rowdy, cheeky, messy, rebellious and defiant. They do stuff without asking me and it ends up making more work for me (like dd1, 10, deciding to wash her trainers in the bathroom basin at 10pm leaving mud everywhere and soaked trainers that aren't dry this morning so I had to clean the bathroom with my back and hips killing me and lend her my precious nikes pair which no doubt will come back in ruins. She did of course offer to help clean up which involved her unravelling a whole toilet roll and patting at the mud that was strewn everywhere till I lost my rag and told her to go to bed. Her and dd2, 9, stay up till late passing each other messages, stalking the fridge, giggling, taking stuff out, then wake up saying they don't feel refreshed. come morning dd1 hogs the loo preening whilst we're all running late. ETC. so please well meaning friends and family stop telling me life must be so easy and laid back with two older dds cus it aint!! they also squabble like crazy until 10 pm when they suddenly decide they want to play together!
any chance of any babies any time soon on this thread I need cheering up..

Me624 · 26/02/2016 10:09

Am I the only one who likes the idea of a leap year baby?!

39 weeks today. Still absolutely zero signs of any action. I'm hyper alert for any slight twinge in my back or cramps etc but nada. Baby me is firmly staying out for now.

MyNameIsSuz · 26/02/2016 10:26

I think I'm just being childishly belligerent about it me. Like, it would be annoying but at the same time might be kind of cool. BUT! I don't have a great relationship with my dad and he always treats me based on how they treat my older stepsister, who is nothing like me (so got me the same wedding present that she'd asked for for hers and that I have no use for, etc). She's a leap baby and since he found out our due date he has gone on and on about how much she loves being a leap baby and how we all hope this will be one just like her. I just know I'll never hear the end of it, when I try to keep my distance as much as possible. So ignore the leap day hate from my end!

Woodenmouse · 26/02/2016 10:49

me624 my mum wants me to have ds2 on 29th!! He's due on the first! I haven't had a single twinge. I feel like he's never going to arrive. Ds1 was exactly a week early so I thought Ds2 would be early too.

TheMshipIsBack · 26/02/2016 10:52

Aww, me and suz, I wouldn't mind a leap baby. 39 weeks tomorrow for me so it's a real possibility. Nothing happening though, I was so disappointed after it felt like everything was kicking off on the weekend.

BeautifulLiar · 26/02/2016 11:01

I want a leap baby too! So unique, plus my others were either born on the 9th or 29th.

Induction is booked for 9:30am on 8th March, although they won't do it if they're too busy Hmm

I'm so tired/upset/disappointed/fuming today.

I was absolutely shattered yesterday, just wanted to eat tea and go to bed. Then from 8pm - midnight ish I was contracting. Obviously I have no baby. What the fuck! This is why I refuse to call for help/go into hospital unless the baby is practically crowning because there's so much potential for false alarms. I haven't really had anything like that before. Twinges have always been mostly ignored by me, then led to baby within 24 hours or so. Just feel like a fraud.

Hope everyone else is ok!

I may have felt my cervix last night and could fit two fingers in

QforCucumber · 26/02/2016 11:09

Morning all, just had a thorough catch up. Feel like I don't get chance for a couple of days and then everything happens so my apologies if I miss anyone out!
beautiful hope you got your induction date and it was the one you wanted.
ffaux we have got those vinyl wall stickers and they're fine, leave no damage at all but really brighten up a room.
marmite glad you stood your ground with colleague, it's not as though you've just taken some time off for the fun of it!
mrsben jealous lots of your spa weekend, I have just booked a groupon afternoon tea and fizz with the girls for mid April so at least have that to look forward to Smile
Maybe go all out and have pate to start too (I am not a doctor and have no idea if this is good advice or not)
maybe fingers crossed with viewing and excange etc, can't imagine how stressful that is right now for you!
me I have no preference, wouldn't mind baby making an appearance this weekend just to spread the birthdays in march out a little but as i'm not actually due until 10th and nothing twingy yet I doubt that'll occur.

Have a sweep and 38 week midwife appt in 2 hours, so going to spend my time before then browsing the local huge tesco for no reason at all. New kitchen flooring has finally arrived yay - only taken 3 months, now just need to wait for a date when dp and his joiner friend can fit it. Really sensible this sorting a house out with a baby due malarkey.

MrsBenWyatt · 26/02/2016 12:28

Me I don't fancy a leap baby, but can't really say why! I am in hospital on 29th for last set of bloods before section on 2nd, so I am hoping they don't find anything that makes them decide to keep me in and do section then!!

Madmamma39 · 26/02/2016 14:48

rhubarb that's not far, once of my colleagues lives there and that's one of the places we have on our list to visit if we want to move...

Can anyone join the fb page?

I'm officially done from work although I'm just updating one last report for MD. had the midwife over she seems very positive although I'm a little nervous about the what ifs...

Didn't sleep at all last night, was so fidgety and uncomfy!

Walked up to pick DS from preschool which is really not far but up hill and now I'm loads of pain!! Will be going in the car all the time I'm on my own I think! Dh will be working from home after next week so lots of walking then to start operation evict baby...

Hope everyone is having a good day

QforCucumber · 26/02/2016 15:06

Well I'm not a fan of sweeps! Apparently 1cm and soft so she doesn't think it will have made much difference, next appointment on the 8th March and will be given an induction date for theweek after if nothing has happened by then - eek scary stuff!

TriJo · 26/02/2016 15:33

Last day in work and I'm in a pho-nduced coma this afternoon. It's all good :)

Had my 36 week appointment yesterday, got cleared to use the birth centre finally so pretty happy about that :)

Hubby woke me up this morning to say that he'd grabbed Arsenal tickets for us for Wednesday and it appears that one of them is on an aisle :)

Everything's coming up Milhouse?

maybebabybee · 26/02/2016 15:44

I've already decided I'm not having a sweep at my 40 week appointment. Won't be the end of the world (in my case) if I go overdue. Going to be stroppy about refusing an induction too unless there is an actual problem with me or the baby.

Welcome to the maternity leave club those of you who have just joined. I've had nearly 4 weeks off now and it's gone by in a flash!!

sherazade · 26/02/2016 16:02

I've got a sweep booked at my consultant appointment on my due date although i'm actually going to decline the sweep, but because i'm under a consultant I have to go anyway to 'discuss my options'.
my sister is dying to sweep me but i'm a believer in letting them come when they're ready, although the more or less constant painful BH contractions and unbearable period pain are really crippling.

CharleytheFrenchPoodle · 26/02/2016 16:26

Can I just ask- what does a sweep involve? I have a very vague idea but I only made it to 37 weeks last time so not really sure when they will do one and what it will quite involve! I get the feeling they aren't very successful? Is that right?
