Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th Just Mumming thread...following the trials and tribulations of our babies, following the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

The previous Just Mumming thread is HERE

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

pud glad Dr could reassure you and well done for getting some shut eye! Double high fives for the first solo outing.

purple my DH hasn't left the sitting room with DS! Weekday evenings DS thinks DH walking through the door is the best thing ever but weekends are another matter. By about 10am DS is climbing the walls and DH has lost interest and is vaguely jiggling him in front of match of the day.

cookielove · 19/01/2016 13:05

Hello all!!

I work three days a week and E much prefers his daddy even on days he has barely seen me (sigh) my mum says it's because E doesn't see me as a separate person just an extention of himself so he doesn't need to please me! I'm going to choose to believe that Grin

So E has been sick for the third night in a row :( not sure what's going on! He is napping now thankfully! I usually do about 4 loads on my two days off I am averaging 6 at the moment. Although at least he is only being sick in his cot where it is contained!

Hobbit19 · 19/01/2016 18:50

How is E doing Cookie?

DulcetMoans · 19/01/2016 20:37

I'm here checking in but don't really have much to say. Have just fed the baby to sleep and I can't even be bothered to go downstairs. I can't be bothered to eat dinner. He's breaking me slowly and I just want stay here forever.

Will add though, there are no calories in free food. pud is right.

Hope all the babies are relying better - sounds like a bit of a sickly crew between us all! Snotty nose here but nothing too bad but I am spending every evening examining a worsening rash inch by inch! I think he's getting eczema.

DulcetMoans · 19/01/2016 20:41

Posted too soon.

Well done for getting out on your own essie and pud! Were there tears? I still cried when I was out and he cried for a good month or so. I did not cope well! And for that reason you get no hooya pud - it takes a while for those hormones to even out and adjust to this new crazy life!

Did you have a better night last night pis?

My baby is also a turn coat when Daddy comes in. Daddy has a funnier face I reckon.

Jcandy · 19/01/2016 20:57

Not a great day here.

One of my guinea pigs is poorly so had to take him to the vet. He's got to go for dental surgery on Friday. I just feel really guilty as he's lost loads of weight and I hadn't noticed. Feel like I've been neglecting them coz I've struggled to look after G and myself never mind them too. Cue loads of tears as to how on earth I was going to bath his sore feet twice a day, give him pain relief and feed him food supplements every 2-3 hours as well as look after a new baby. My friend came round in the end to hold G whilst I sorted him out. He's had a bit of food this evening so hopefully he won't lose any more weight.

Just stay there dulcet it's Ok not to want to do anything. Rest. It will get better

Toast85 · 19/01/2016 21:46

Oh no jc hope your guinea pig gets better soon.

Dulcet you can stay in bed, we'll send cake.

I'm exhausted, Melba has been shouty and upset all evening and crying when I tried to feed her. Very snotty today though quite cheery most of the time but seemed poorly again later this afternoon and evening. I had friends over for takeaway and dh was out, it was impossible trying to keep Melba happy and settled and catch up with them too, and I haven't seen them since August! I nearly cancelled them but she seemed better, until it was too late to cancel anyway. Calpol didn't seem to do much other than give her half an hour sleep, but she was worse when she woke up. And threw up all down my front. Anyway she's fed and asleep in bed now, poor sausage.

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 19/01/2016 21:49

cookie how is E during the day? Is it just night time sickness? Love the theory we are extensions of them or vise versa, I will go with that too.

dulcet hang in there. It's ok to do nothing sometimes. Especially when you are totally trashed, in fact it's pretty much the best thing you can do in those circumstances if you can get an opportunity! Hope you are ok.

jc sorry to hear about your poorly fur baby. Hope he picks up soon. Don't beat yourself up. You can't cut yourself in half. You are doing your best and you are doing amazingly.

I was meant to go for physio today for my stomach muscles but I drove all the way to the hospital and couldn't park. DS had a total meltdown and screamed while I was gridlocked into the car park. I eventually manoeuvred my way back out of the bloody car park after 45 mins (stopping multiple times to get him out and cuddle him) and went home, missing my appointment. It was a total head fuck and I cried. I'm due to do a 180 mile round trip with ds tomorrow to take him to meet my 90yo grandmother who is in a nursing home. He's her first g grand child. I was full of confidence after yesterday's jolly into town but now wondering what the hell I am doing after today. Someone tell me it will be ok or am I being a idiot?

RPopz · 19/01/2016 22:04

It'll be ok essie - hopefully he'll sleep in the car. Will you be able to get another appointment? Lanzarote is amazing - make sure you go to the National Park.

Might he be getting too hot in the night cookie?

You sound depressed Dulcet Sad Anything we can do? Xxx

Hooray for the various mumwins!

Did you manage to have any of your takeaway toast?? Hope melba perks up soon...

RPopz · 19/01/2016 22:06

Poor guinea pig jc! I felt SO guilty about "neglecting" our pets when minip was first born. As with all things, it gets easier!!

purplewhale · 19/01/2016 22:27

Toast we are having a similar thing. Consensus seems to be teething. He's also on cunt leap.
He keeps shouting and screaming when I'm trying to feed him. He's hungry, but is just being an arse. Usually guzzles it down on the 4th attempt. I wonder if the teat is hurting his gums.

JC hope your Guinea pig is ok. If you're struggling can you ask someone else to look after him for a wee while? Don't feel bad if you have to put the baby down somewhere so you can get things done. When DH is at work I do make him wait 5 mins if he's hungry when I'm getting my coffee and cereal - when he was tiny I quickly realised if I didn't sort myself out I'd still be sat there an hour later with low blood sugar, feeling crap with a sleeping baby on me!

Essie I find a king car journey sends B into a coma. Whenever I went to MILs the 50 mins in the car meant he slept for 3 hours!

Dulcet you sound like you're having a rotten time lovie. Can you get a break? Is J having any bottles? I hope things pick up for you soon.

Hobbit19 · 19/01/2016 22:31

Oh no JC, I'm sorry about your guinea. (I live little squeaky guinea pigs). Is there someone who can look after him for a couple of weeks and deal with all the medical bits? Our cats are definitely a bit neglected since P arrived bless them, they hardly get any attention poor beans. You are doing a brilliant job of looking after baby Candy though so be kind to yourself.

Dulcet, stay in bed my love and sleep.

Tomorrow is another day Essie.

Baby Pud has not had a poo since 5pm. This is going to be messy.

Toast85 · 20/01/2016 04:22

I did wonder about teeth purple though she does have a cold I think, quite a bit of snot. But quite pink cheeked at the moment and more dribbly and sucky. No sign of any little teeth poking up though!

Essie good luck with the trip today. Hopefully he'll sleep for you!

DulcetMoans · 20/01/2016 04:42

That sounds like a nightmare journey essie, no surprise it wold end in tears for you too! Hopefully tomorrow is a bit better. It will be lovely to see your Grandma I am sure and hopefully he will just sleep through most the journey.

So sorry to hear about your Guinea pig JC! Don't feel bad though, you've had lots of things in your mind and I am sure you haven't been neglectful. Think we have all worried about our pets since the babies have been born - I know I am sad I don't cuddle my cats as much. Hope the medication works soon.

Stressful takeaway then toast! We tried one with friends a few weeks ago for when he went to bed and he wouldn't bloody sleep! Was determined to be downstairs where te people are! They are buggers!

Wait until that poo hasn't shown up in 5 days pud - or longer! Puts you really on edge just waiting!

Thanks for all your nice messages. I didn't mean to sound so down. My body is just giving up on me a bit sometimes - feels so achy and heavy and my eyes sting. I don't see much of an end at the moment. He does take a bottle and trying to find a way to introduce one in the night but I don't see the point doing it if I am awake so first wake up is sometimes too early (10-11pm) and next one is a bit late for DH to do it (12-1am) so a but stuck! I am at the stage of not feeding every time he wakes up but that isn't stopping him doing it. Just waiting for a magical night where I go to bed and wake up at 7am feeling refreshed!

Hobbit19 · 20/01/2016 04:48

Can your DH do the late feed on one night at the weekend Dulcet?

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 20/01/2016 06:25

dulcet Could you get an early night and get dh to do the 10pm feed? I'm in bed by 9pm most nights unfortunately. I can't function otherwise.

toast hope you got to eat your takeaway eventually!

Thanks for encouragement re my adventure today. I'm hoping to make an early start, ds got me up at 5am do there's no reason why we can't be on the road early! Hope everyone had a decent night.

Hobbit19 · 20/01/2016 08:57

Hope you are having a lovely day Essie.

Not sure what happened here last night, it was a bit of a blur. There was lots of feeding and I fell asleep with the baby twice. Once in my arms and once doing lie down feeding. So scared that I will squash her doing this but I couldn't keep my eyes open :-(

Pisghetti · 20/01/2016 09:42

I often fed BabyPis lying down and still do it now Pud. It lets me doze. Sometimes I fall properly asleep and wake up a few hours later with a boob hanging out. Only thing is it makes me a bit achey because I won't have moved an inch while I've been asleep. It's like my subconscious clocks that the baby is there and makes sure I don't squish her.

Fleurchamp · 20/01/2016 15:33

Hello!

Long time no speak!

I tried to have a break from the internet over Christmas and new year (failed miserably with FB!) as I was finding myself getting quite neurotic Confused

I haven't caught up completely and so hope everyone is ok.

You are all doing an amazing job Flowers

cookielove · 20/01/2016 19:53

Hi all :)

When E was little I use to sleep the 2nd half of the night with him on my chest, I would prop myself up with pillows and not move an inch. It does get better!

E didn't puke last night but is still completely off his food! But no sick yay!

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 20/01/2016 20:32

Hi fleur

pud, pis I do the same. Most nights ds ends up in with me and I feed him lying down. I often wake up 3 hours later amazed that amount of time has elapsed! I've been doing it since he was about 3 weeks and I fell asleep feeding him sitting up a couple of times which scared the crap out of me.

We survived our trip to grandma's. She's a total battle axe despite being 90 but ds charmed her. He slept the whole 2 hour drive there and most of the way back with only a bit of wailing. He's been a nightmare this evening though, completely wired. He's still doing umpteen mucousy nappies a day though despite seeming fine and totally over his cold? I thought the snot swallowing was causing it but now I'm not sure?

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 20/01/2016 20:56

Sorry cookie I didn't see your post. Sorry E is off food. Do you think he's had a bug?

Hobbit19 · 21/01/2016 00:11

Well done on your epic journey Essie!

DH had P tonight from 8 to 11, so I've had a bath, washed AND dried my hair and been to sleep for 2 hours. WIN!! Expressing is a pain (especially as I still have to express for 2 sessions to get one feed) but is so worth it for a little 'time off'. Next bottle will be Friday during the night so I can get a good few hours kip in a row (hopefully). Might even kip in the spare room until I'm needed.

Other small victories today (which must be celebrated), we walked about 3 miles and I don't feel like my fanjo is going to fall off. Also I wrapped myself in a towel without thinking this evening and didn't scream when the towel came into contact with my nipples! Major progress!!

We won't talk about the complete lack.of naps/the fact that I ate biscuits for breakfast. Focus on the positives!

Jcandy · 21/01/2016 03:05

It amazing how much better you feel after just 2 hours in a row isn't it pud

Small win for me I did actually manage a 45 nap today when on my own with G. It's the first one she's let me have!

Welcome back fleur hope you're feeling more centered again Smile

No idea about mucusy nappies I'm afraid! But guess it could take a while to get through

gaggiagirl · 21/01/2016 04:00

Hiiiiiiii!
Nice to see you again fleur!!

I need to change the boy he's soaked but he's asleep aaarrrggghhhhh.
