We are a right moany bunch today! Dp just asked me if I wanted him to come home early tomorrow instead of sunday. Why on earth did I just say no!!!

< hits self in head with large stick>

Thisisimpossible · 28/08/2015 20:17

Oh Ark bless you. But if you need him don't pretend you don't. Your wellbeing is as important as your DPs.

ladydolly · 28/08/2015 21:16

'Self pitying post alert'

I now have the sickness bug. I feel dreadful. Dp had sausages and chips for tea which had me running to the loo :(
We probably have to cancel the weekend away and I really been looking forward to it. Poor dp's gran is 97 and this is only the 2nd time she'd have met dd (dd is named after her). I just feel so sad :( :( :(

I better at least lose weight or I will be truly fucked off.

Oh no ladydolly, that sucks. Hope you feel better soon. As rubbish as it is, I'm sure DP's gran will be very relieved not to catch it. Hugs xx

Greenstone yep silent reflux and still on ranitidine and still needed night time is 1-3 wake ups a night and have decided to wait til a yr and do some gentle sleep training hv told me he doesn't need feeding at night and to leave him to cry himself back to sleep told her wasn't doing that so she said well if you are happy getting up that's fine I said I am not happy but equally I am not happy to leave him to cry I have read my research and made my decision.

He has been dropping through the centiles since 3mths old but still gaining weight so stopping night feeds wouldn't help that all of a sudden they want to monitor and refer to paed shame didn't give a hoot when was refusing to feed at 3mths old anyway said I was going to have him weighed in a mth not to refer at mo.

Had day trip to zoo yesterday wow near on £100 spent getting in and lunch etc but good day

happypotamus · 29/08/2015 08:21

DD crawled halfway across the room for the first time yesterday to get to one of DD1's toys. It was a shame that she went to all that effort to get to it and I had to take it straight off her.
I could really do without the return of crying in her sleep. Now she is in her own room I have to keep getting out of bed when her crying disturbs me through the monitor only to find she is fast asleep. Then at 3am she was awake and didn't go back to sleep for a hour. But I keep reminding myself that her sleep is so much better and it was only a few weeks ago that she only slept for 2hrs max and only if I sat up and held her.

lady hope you are feeling better and your weekend can be rearranged.

ladydolly · 29/08/2015 08:53

Worst night of my life. I'd take c section recovery over this. Dd stopped being sick about 12, me at about 1.30. I've not been to sleep yet, too wired and too worried. She's still poorly at the other end and only wants me but I feel so sick. This was my greatest parenting fear, dealing with sick while I'm sick. Dp still fine so heading to tesco for antibac everything.

Put a red x on my front door and be done with it!!!

Sorry you and dd are feeling so bad ladydolly, must be really tough dealing with a sick baby when you are sick yourself. Get well soon Flowers

MrsAukerman · 29/08/2015 09:28

Poor dolly household! At least it's Saturday and DP is around. Sending virtual plain crackers and water.

Thisisimpossible · 29/08/2015 09:32

That's crap ladydolly Sending you all a big hug and Flowers

Arkkorox · 29/08/2015 09:35

Oh ladydolly that's really rough. Big hugs and hopefully you're both on the mend now

Strawberryfield12 · 29/08/2015 10:44

Ladydolly hope you both are well soon.

DD had an epic poonami this morning.Crapped herself while in jumperoo and it got squeezed out of the nappy, running down the leg. She kept jumping before I realised so the bounty got spread on and between floor boards, thank goodness we don't have a carpet there. To deal with poonamis these days is so much more difficult, she kept grabbing her nappy with hands while I was trying to get all the soiled stuff off her. Complete nightmare, lot's of cleaning in our house. Luckily, it's Saturday and DH was around to help.

Got DD registered for nursery starting December this morning. We went there for second time to look around, this time DD being old enough not to sleep all the way through. She actually looked very happy to have all the kids around, was stretching her arms towards them and playing. Made me feel much better about having her in the childcare for the most of the day. Maybe my lack of interest in baby groups will reap the fruit now as she will be excited to get out and meet all the kids? One thing I realised that not having to care for DD 24/7 would make me feel privileged instead of obligated about the time we will be together. So suddenly our feelings about the whole thing turned more positive than before. The children in the nursery seem to be happy and content, even the baby girl who was settling in on the day of our visit. Am I allowed to say out loud that I somewhat started to look forward going back to work and being myself again? The thought I have had though was that I will have to work harder on my career to make it worthwhile the time I am spending away from DD.

catg83 · 29/08/2015 10:49

ladydolly sounds horrendous. Hope it is all starting to get a bit better.

Well I was wrong about the inlaws. DS was up at 5.30 so I fed him and he dozed on me but wouldn't be out down so went downstairs at 7. MIL came down 10 mins later and asked what DS was having for breakfast. Told her and got a reply of "well I can do that, you go back to bed." WOO HOO! So me and OH got to sleep until 9.30 when DS needed a feed and a nap. Amazing!

ladydolly · 29/08/2015 16:19

Babydolly much better, currently copying everything her dad does while watching footie, arms up for goals, claps for penalties, hand rubs for tense times. Hilarious! I'm still rough, temp of 104 and can't keep anything down. But rather me than her. And in anti bacing the whole flat dp has cleaned every room!!

Yay for inlaws and lay ins!! That's what BH's are for.

She fell down all the stairs, lots of steep stairs with boxes of tiles piled up at the bottom:( she was right by me round the corner from the top of the stairs but I couldn't catch her:( I screamed and cried and traumatised DD1 as well :( we are back from A&E, and, apart from a few bumps on her head, she is somehow ok, thank god. I can't believe I let such a thing happen to her. Bad, bad mummy.

ladydolly · 29/08/2015 16:54

Oh happy, you poor things, her and you!! These things do happen and she's fine. Try not to beat yourself up about it.

haventgotaclue1 · 29/08/2015 18:30

Ladydolly hope you're feeling loads better soon and Happy, really glad baby happy is ok and as lady dolly says, try not to beat yourself up over it (although I'm sure it's easier said than done)

Strawberryfield12 · 29/08/2015 18:56

happy so good everything is fine with DD. just try to forget the whole thing as a bad dream. It happens, sometimes we are luckier then other.

Thisisimpossible · 29/08/2015 19:07

Oh happy, have a HUGE hug. You are NOT a bad mother. They are so quick at this age and we all need eyes in the back of our heads. It could happen to any of us. So pleased you are all ok. Xxx

Arkkorox · 29/08/2015 19:59

Oh Happy that doesnt make you a bad mum! These things just happen. Dd pulled a chair over ontop of herself, so youre not the only one in the accident club today xx

Arkkorox · 29/08/2015 20:07

As Im on my laptop I can actually upload a couple of pics!

One of DD today, just after she stood up all on her own, and one of the biggest baby ;)

Flowers for you too happy. That must have been an awful shock, but glad your dd is ok.

My dd has various bruises from where she's launched herself off the bed or hit herself whilst pulling herself up on things. She is really quick too. Dh taught her to throw herself backwards when she stands up on the bed holding onto the wall, which she finds hilarious. Luckily she seems to realise that she can only do that on the bed and not when she's holding onto the coffee table.

CazY777 · 29/08/2015 21:53

She has a big bruise on her head in the pic, and she has more now!
