The old thread was getting dangerously close to 1000 messages, so thought I'd better start this one.

Fingers crossed the swelling is all it is hales

We had that in the summer, I had no idea which child it was or even how old they'd be! And knew none of the other people there who weren't terribly friendly luckily ds had a blast :o

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 03/10/2015 17:58

Oh your poor niece Hales, I really hope that it's all okay.

Barbeasty · 03/10/2015 20:19

I thought it was a bad day when I found a couple of headlice on the nit comb, probably from when DH treated DD's hair for the 3rd time (and told me he didn't find any?!!)

But then I just went to my work bag, to get some chocolate from the front pocket which has been open since I got home from work on Friday. Something has clearly nibbled at it, through the foil and paper. I feel physically sick and we have mouse traps in the kitchen now!

Please say it can only get better?

On an amusing note, my dad gave me and my brothers some money last week. I got the right amount, one brother got 1/10th when his bank dropped a 0 off. My other brother's bank got the 0s wrong the other way and managed to credit his account with £1,000,000!

My nice seems OK can see but its blurry we think. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Beasty I feel your not pain, I really do and mice were I hope you find the pesky thing soon.

Also how stupid can banks be no wonder they have so many problems if they can't do a transfer.

Spotty I hope the party went well.

I am having a peaceful bath with no children in the home and DP is watching the match. It is lovely and very much needed.

Barbeasty · 04/10/2015 16:36

Good news Hales.

I'm not sure that driving 11 of the 15 miles home from swimming, then realising that we had to turn around and go back to the town swimming was in to collect MIL from the station is the day getting better!

We were meant to collect her at 16.10, and we're still 10 minutes away....

Oh no beasty hope it's been a calm evening!
hales fx she continues to improve.

Had a lovely afternoon (having had a horrible shouty mum morning) on a good fun walk up hills (with a 2 stoner on my back) and through woods, and then a Sunday roast. Yum! Shame T wouldn't eat a thing and went to bed.

WLmum · 04/10/2015 22:52

T has been obsessed with toys and dolls as her babies for a while but now has imaginary ones that she calls 'my little ones'. They came on the walk too and were cosy with her in the carrier on my back.

halestone · 05/10/2015 13:12

WL they are funny little things aren't they. H is obsessed with dogs and has a pretend one called Stephen.Grin

Beasty I hope today is already a better day than yesterday for you.

DN has just left to see the eye specialist so FX there is some improvement.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 05/10/2015 20:08

How did she get on Hales?

I really want a bath but I have post-holiday thrush and can't. All I've wanted for a week on holiday n now I'm home I can't have one!

NannyOggsHedgehogs · 05/10/2015 20:41

Sorry, Fraz I just had one. And ate dinner onion rings and leftover roast chicken on my own. Dh isn't home from work yet so that's doubly impressive as I had to wrangle both!

WLmum · 05/10/2015 21:46

hales I love that he's called Stephen! In my head he looks the phteven dog meme!
Fx for dn

MrsNutella · 05/10/2015 21:46

Nah baths aren't all that Wink

WLmum · 05/10/2015 21:48

nanny that is impressive! I'm jealous and tomorrow will be buying myself some lovely bubble bath to use in about 6 months at the earliest opportunity.
fraz ouch and annoyance!

NannyOggsHedgehogs · 05/10/2015 22:28

I enjoyed my fluke! There's no way it was anything more than a lucky coincidence but a welcome one after the day I had lol

Cookiesandcoffee · 05/10/2015 22:55

checks in after an awol year and a half from mumsnet
BrewBrewBrew BiscuitBiscuitBiscuit kettle on and treats all round. (Cake, always cake)
I've been lurking and trying to get back on track with everything! Failing miserably I---- keep up on FB but all forms of social media are too much these days!
Hope you are all well and not panicking too much at the thought of the little people turning 3 ShockShock

halestone · 05/10/2015 23:49

DN, still has blood in her eyes and the back of her eye still isn't visible so still unsure, she has to go back on Wednesday. They explained all the risks she has at the minute but finished on a positive that DN is able to see at the minute, but they think there is still some blurryness.

Hi Cookie welcome back Smile

WL I nearly wet myself at the phteven meme commentGrin

Nanny yay to a bath and food. I am very impressed.

Frazzled urgh thrush is the work of the devil. I get it and get jealous of dogs who can drag their bits along a carpet. I would love to do that when I have thrush.

WLmum · 06/10/2015 20:57

Haha hales. Really hope dns eye does its magic and clears up. Poor thing, it must be scary.

NannyOggsHedgehogs · 06/10/2015 21:06

I managed it again tonight Shock

WLmum · 06/10/2015 21:46

Go nanny!

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 08/10/2015 00:23

I hope it sorts itself Hales

Well done Nanny

At this moment in time I'd happily sandpaper my bits if someone told me it would help. I had a bath last night in plain water. It was utterly shit to be frank!

I came home from holiday with thrush and massive mouth ulcers all over my mouth and throat.

It is not a good week to be frazzled!

Welcome back Cookie! I've completely lost track of who you are though. Give us an inkling on fb if you can Cake

SpottyTeacakes · 08/10/2015 06:39

WillYou what have you used for the thrush? I usually have to do a three night course of pessaries (100mg) to get rid.

NannyOggsHedgehogs · 08/10/2015 07:28

I didn't get round to trying but I was tipped off to "padsicles" for post birth which might be worth trying till treatment kicks in?

WLmum · 08/10/2015 13:36

Oh no frazzled I was going to ask if you needed a holiday but then I re read your post...avoid sugar for the thrush and get some deqacain (sp) for your mouth. Miserable at both ends!
