The old thread was getting dangerously close to 1000 messages, so thought I'd better start this one.

At least you noticed WL!

We have our referral. I didn't even have to ask! The Dr looked at her notes and said it was clearly a case for referral and he'll write the letter today.

Good luck WL!

Great news beasty wonder how long the waiting list is?

MrsNutella · 28/09/2015 13:13

Beasty yay! FX for DD!

Utopian I like the idea of breathing exercises. We sometimes get him to take a deep breath when he is getting worked up.

Is it an early sign of genius, perhaps? And if so can I channel it into something useful? like teaching him how to iron or bake amazing lemon tarts Wink

WL I think a reward might be a good idea... But DH has got the hump because he thinks I'm letting DS have too much sugar. Although I think it is down to food type rather than general sugar consumption.... And we keep sugar treats to a minimum already. Can I get away with leaving something in a special box for him downstairs do you think? I think a few gummy bears would be allowed by DH if I let him have a say in it thanks for the great ideas ladies!

Poor DD has had a fever over most of the last 24 hours. Only plus point is I got to see a bit of the eclipse yawn it wasn't how I wanted to spend my night.

WLmum · 28/09/2015 23:15

Thanks ladies. Was a bit overwhelming to start with but everyone seems nice.
nutella I see no harm in a gummy bear on waking if it means less stress. When he gets older and more able to wait you could switch it for a couple of bits of Lego so he has a whole at the end of the week and you are broke

WLmum · 28/09/2015 23:16

Poor little dd, but cool that you got to see the eclipse.

halestone · 29/09/2015 21:45

Beasty, I'm glad your Dd finally got a referral.

WL how's the new job going?

Nutella how is Dd today? Also H sounds the same as your DS behavior wise at the minute. The word no just sounds like a dare to her and she doesn't back down from dares.

Nanny, how is BF this time?

Utopian, I give H massages she loves them and it really chills her out.

WLmum · 29/09/2015 22:43

Bless you hales. All good so far but I haven't yet had any work to do, just meeting people. I will come out of meetings tomorrow with actions so I guess we'll see!

NannyOggsHedgehogs · 30/09/2015 01:05

I'm reading, sorry, just have nothing helpful to add. Have a Brew from me instead!

Going ok thanks hales although he's got colic so I need to investigate my diet!

MrsNutella · 30/09/2015 13:02

Nanny colic is not fun! I remember it .... Just... with DS. and it was only when he started eating solid food and (with help from ladies here) we figured out he doesn't like tomato I connected the dots and guessed it was probably all the frozen spag Bol and Chilli that he didn't like - the chilli wasn't hot but both had whole tomato in the sauce Confused I hope he settles for you soon!! And you're getting some rest.

WL a new job sounds so exciting! While I've been here at my Mum's e Internet has been mega slow, so I haven't done the research I was hoping to get done. But I have had a few ideas about my business which I'm excited about!

hales DD is much better thank you, she has a horrible night and has been a bit delicate and irritable since but no more fever. I think it might be more teeth! Shock poor love.
I'd quite like her to stop teething for a bit and get walking. She is a lump that likes to be carried a lot. I think my arms must have stretched!

WLmum · 30/09/2015 18:35

New business ideas are more exciting nutella!

halestone · 01/10/2015 11:39

Nanny colic is awful, I think it was you who told me about the tiger hold when H was little, but if not Google it, that really seemed to help H.

Nutella, a new business idea sounds like fun. Hope it goes amazingly for you.

WL, I hope your first bits of work go well.

We have a very destructive H at the minute, but its like she's going out of her way to be naughty. She is either very loving or very naughty there is no in between.

SpottyTeacakes · 01/10/2015 12:07

I've booked to go to Lapland UK in November I'm soooooo excited! Can't believe our babies are going to be 3!

WL I can't believe how quickly you started your new job hopefully you'll be settled in in no time.

Nutella that sounds exciting?

Pidj hope all is going well still.

Hales ds is certainly being more defiant, his favourite being 'Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn-o.' Complete with a big grin.

WLmum · 01/10/2015 20:32

hales T can be like that too.
spotty I hope it's super fun and you all love it. Also can't believe our babies will be 3 and it'll be Xmas before we know it! Yes, new job came round really fast. Fx I'm settled in soon!

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 01/10/2015 23:24

Wow Lapland will be so cool Spotty.

I've been in Menorca for the last two weeks it was great but DS' vocabulary was somewhat limited. It mostly consisted of:

A) put you in the bin
B) you are a poo
C) you are a wee and poo
D) you are a smelly bum head
E) old macdonald had some poo. Oi, oi, oi

It got old awfully quick. Hmm hoping it's a short lived phase.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2015 06:43

Ds calls me silly goo goo mummy Confused

NannyOggsHedgehogs · 02/10/2015 07:55

I am, apparently, a banana. Or a pear. And he isn't a good boy, he's Christmas. And daddy isn't daddy he's princess daddy Hmm

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 02/10/2015 13:35

I'd rather be a banana than a poo TBH

We're at soft play. He's singing about old macdonald's poo at the top of his voice again.

Toddlers are so delightful!

WLmum · 02/10/2015 19:08

If I was at softplay with you frazzled I would be delighted that it was your turn to have 'that' child, knowing that it will be my turn next week, probably in a much more cringey location!

Barbeasty · 02/10/2015 21:22

I'm a wee wee man. As well as all the poo, willy etc.

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2015 21:25

Dd asked me to show her the hole where babies come out when she's older. Maybe I should have gone with the stork Hmm

WLmum · 03/10/2015 00:16

I am very proud to announce in a drunken kind of way that our distinctly low rent team came 2nd in the school quiz night. Just to give you a flavour, out team name was the catbumflies and we lost to a team with a clever Latin name.

WLmum · 03/10/2015 00:17

And they had a cheese board...we had beer!

halestone · 03/10/2015 14:39

Hope your heads OK WLSmile

Haha Spotty that's hilarious, I am definitely going with the Stork now.

H tells us we are naughty and to just think haha.

My Dsis rang me yesterday she had a gone to a town about 15 minutes away from our home and the school had phoned. My DN had been hit in the eye with a magnet that was on end of fishing line and needed to come home. I ran to pick my DN up while my sister was on her way home. DNs eye was already bruised and swollen with cuts at the top and bottom. My sister took her the walk in center who did an eye test and realized DN couldn't see out of her injured eye. DN was referred to hospital straight away and they have said its a serious eye injury there is a lot of blood within her eye and they are unsure yet whether her sight is going to be affected long term. My Dsis has to go back on Monday and see the eye specialist again. They said to my Dsis that if DN doesn't have strict bed rest then she has to go back to hospital as they think if she takes another knock to that eye she may lose her sight completely.

SpottyTeacakes · 03/10/2015 15:00

Oh hales how scary. Fingers crossed for your niece.

WL hope you're not too hung over Wink

I'm about to take ds to his first pre school birthday party. I have no idea who the child or mum is Blush

WLmum · 03/10/2015 15:23

Omg hales poor dn. I do hope she's ok.
