Sleep- I'm glad Sefton is sleeping a little better, Zack hasn't improved at all since weaning he still wakes 4-6 times a night He is enjoying food though

prettymum · 29/12/2006 19:07

junior hasnt fallen off bed yet!! dd did it a few times!! but she was fine!!

one of my younger brothers broke his arm when he was 11 months after falling off bed, but our family is cursed as all my 3 younger brothers have broken their arms each summer, one broke his this summer!!!

had a terrible night last night, junior had his 3rd jabs yesterday and he got a slight fever and wouldnt go back to sllep after waking at 4.30, managed to settle him around 6am!!

better go and give kids a bath and put them to bed, will catch up later

DecktheWallacewithBoughsofHoll · 29/12/2006 20:00

ds1 and dd both fell out of the bed as babies, so don't worry.

Leo slept from 10pm to 9:30 am last night hope ity wasn't a fluke. Wonder if it has anything to do with starting solids...probably not!

DecktheWallacewithBoughsofHoll · 29/12/2006 20:03

Wonde how roshi is? hope she hasn't been kept in

usandourlittlexmascracker · 29/12/2006 20:14

I've been wondering too Wallace.

Hope your night wasn't a fluke, wishing you luck for tonight

We bought a door bouncer today and Zack loved it! He didn't stop bouncing and twisting round and round Wonder if it will have tired him out?............I will let you know in the morning!

Wallace · 29/12/2006 20:20

[fingers crossed]!

Leo loves his door bouncer too, we say "bouncy bouncy" to him and he grins and bounces.

re the feeling broody - i've heard a lot of people say they feel broody when their babies are about this age. could be hormones or maybe because they are not tiny babies any more.

Hi ladies,

Just checking in. Havent read all of your posts, however I get the impression there has been alot of sickness.

Kz- How are your little ones, its awful to be poorly anytime but xmas just makes it worse.

DD2 got up and vomited on xmas morning, I told her "You're not allowed to be sick for xmas". She was fine after that.

Hope all of your christmas have been good (despite the sickness).

Quick developemental check:
Jazz will be 6 months on 13th January. She loves to stand and will walk if you hold under her arms. She weight bears realy well. But am not sure if this is very good for her legs, what do you think?

Must go anyway as girls are not going to sleep.

FrostytheSnowman · 29/12/2006 20:52

FestiveAtForty · 29/12/2006 23:14

Evening ladies

Kayzed ? sorry to hear about the rotten time you?ve been having, hope both of the wee ones are on the road to recovery very soon. xx

Usand ? yes I?m definitely broody atm too! If I am going to have another one I can?t hang about given my age so not using contraception (apart from sharing a room with a 5 month old?) but since it may well not happen it doesn?t really feel like I?m committing myself to anything - if that makes sense!

Am now on my 3rd AF, had them at 16, 20 and 23.5 weeks. And yes, so far they have been easier than previously, practically no cramps or pmt. First one was easiest of all so I guess they will go back to normal at some point.

Sleep ? yes we?ll probably be doing the same on NYE ? rock ?n? roll indeed lol. I?m taking comfort from the fact that as we will not be leaving the four walls we won?t have to take out a mortgage to afford the cab fare home nor dodge the piles of sick on the pavements.

Well Christmas was okay, visited the PILs which was fine, felt sad when we left as I know my MIL would love to see her only grandchild more often but it?s about 4 hours away so not that practical. Also racked with guilt about my mother in Oz ? but there?s no way we can keep everyone happy And having them round the corner might just present a whole new set of problems?!

Emma actually swallowed some baby rice this evening, hurrah. After a few failed attempts at strained carrot and baby rice with milk I tried baby rice with apple juice (from stewed apples) and she ate a bit of it, hurrah. Was relieved as she starts nursery next week and still having no luck getting her to drink formula.

I saw a baby the other day who didn?t look much older than Emma scoffing away at something he was holding in his hand. Ooh I thought, wonder what he?s eating, and was overcome with disapproval when I realised it was a chocolate bar! I?m obviously turning into middle class mummy like the ones on the Catherine Tate show!

Twinklemegan · 29/12/2006 23:19

Gawd - I'm so confused. I'm worried about saying who are you people I don't recognise in case I don't sound welcoming to a newcomer. So I'm putting out a plea - can anyone who changes their name completely pleeease tell us who they used to be?? And welcome to any newcomers and please share a bit of background info so we can get to know you. As KZ said, we tend to use our LO's real names on this thread coz we're all friendly souls.

KZ - sounds like you're having a horrible, horrible time of it at the moment. I sooo hope things improve for all of you very soon.

Frosty/HC - can't wait to hear the juicy details!
