Poor wee things must be awful for you

xmasstocking · 28/12/2006 21:53

KZ - sorry to hear things are no better in your household - hope it didn't ruin Christmas too much for you

Not sure if it will make you feel better but Josh is still ill aswell - these bugs aren't half persistent! He has only vomited twice since Sunday morning but has had permanent diarrhea (sp?) since Saturday evening - don't know which is worse - clothes with baby puke on or baby (very runny) poo - I also feel like my washer is permanently on. Just glad we are home again now as 3 days away with a baby who has been dirtying his clothes etc on a regular basis has been taxing as we only took a few clothes with us! Anyway, things always seem much easier in your own home don't they? Took him back to the doctors this morning and they said that he isn't dehydrated etc so just have to be patient while it runs it's course!!

KZ - good luck tomorrow - hope everything is ok - better to be safe than sorry eh?

Feel rather awful tonight... DD managed to roll properly for first time really today, and ended up rolling off bed onto floor . Cried/screamed immediately and was comforted relatively easily with a quick little breast-feed. However, I still feel really really guilty and awful for letting her fall onto floor. Been watching her like a hawk all night just in case of any problems.
Please could someone let me know they've had the same thing happen to them...
(If you're planning on making me feel even worse, or abusing me, please don't bother as I can beat myself up without any assistance !)
Thanks xx

christmascarol3 · 29/12/2006 02:25

first two did this at simiar age, think its common my friends dd did it recently and had a bruised face for a few days, don't worry i think once they get mobile the odd bump here and there is unavoidable.

xmasstocking · 29/12/2006 08:17

Diet (who are you??) - Josh rolled off some clothes which were on top of a crate on top of the bed onto the floor so don't feel bad!!I bet everyone does this at some point.

Morning all

KZ,jeez you poor kiddies(((hugs))) and poor you too.Myself and the 2 ds's were ill in bed with a gastric thing(caught from a mindee who's lovely mum went to her office party thing instead of keeping her off).had to give my db all my gorgous(sp) xmas food and dp looked after dd all day on his own with us all in bed ill.he had no xmas dins either.Hope things are ok for you all soon.

We had a good xmas/boxing day but very busy,i am always gonna be the one with the biggest house so they will always want to come here.
Had assorted family on boxing day plus ds1's gf and her mum dad and brother.Ds and his gf were really sweet. She gave him a ring for xmas, tis lovely plus a cd jumper etc.he gave her a sound of music dvd and perfume etc. Both happy and still in love as only teenagers can be lol.

I have not been sticking to my diet at all.I can't seem to get myself motivated at all.Am sure i have put about half a stone on.Bugger will have to get a grip for the wedding, not going to be a fat bride.

I really need to work out how old Eilidh is for weaning her.You can tell i'm in no great hurry to get started eh?

Dd1 has been fab since the week before xmas, has gone to bed at 7/730 pm every night, even xmas night and boxing day when we had loads of visitors. She also decided the day before xmas eve she wanted to wear big girl pants and has only had 2 accidents so will be nice not buying double lots of nappies hee hee.

I hope you all got something nice from Santa xxx

usandourlittlexmascracker · 29/12/2006 09:10

Morning all

It sounds like a few of you have had a rotten Xmas Hope all poorly LO's are better soon. Let us know what the hospital say KZ xx

Diet- I think this is very common, I'm sure your DD is fine. Kind of took the excitement out of her first roll though hey?!

Agalch- your DS and his GF sound soooo sweet!

Frosty- my inlaws are a pain in the behind too, they moan they don't see us enough and when we do go they make me feel really unwelcome. Hardly encouragement for me to visit more. They go on and on and on about having Zack overnight (no-way!) and he needs proper food (crap stuff) Nightmare!

Is anyone else feeling really broody?! I can't believe it I have a really strong urge for another baby already. Is it hormonal?! I keep listing the reasons why I shouldn't, morning sickness, Zack still wakes at least 5 times a night, not fair on Zack to have another so soon but the feeling doesn't go away!

better go I'm off ice skating today

SleepInHeavenlyPeace · 29/12/2006 10:55

Hi all...

Diet, I hear this happens to most babies at one point or another! They are tough little things, not easily broken! (Are you a regular with a name change or a newbie? If so: welcome!)

Havent been on for a while- been trying to get out as muxh as possibe. Have had this fluttering feeling in my tummy for ages now, did a preg test (!!!) but luckily negative... apparently this happens a lot after a baby? It is either wind or an artery that goes through your stomach... Does anyone else have this? I got AF finally last week - but for 1 day only! How odd.

KZ... hope your LOs are getting better, sound like you are having a rough time {{hugs}}

My MIL is the worst in the world - we have not had any contact with her since I was 5 months preg and she sent me a vicious e-mail ah well, her loss.

Sefton's sleep is improving a bit since we have started weaning him - US, have you seen an improvement?

ANyone doing anything for NYE? We will be staying in - maybe a bottle of bubbly! Rock and roll!

x

SleepInHeavenlyPeace · 29/12/2006 10:57

US, yes - feel broody, but I wouldn't want another one for a whie - am enjoying being able to give Sefton so much attention. I have many friends who are preg so will see how I feel when their LOs come along!

x

maewest · 29/12/2006 10:58

dietneeded, these things happen sometimes, don't feel bad {{hugs}} (can't keep up with name changes, so not sure exactly who you are )

madness · 29/12/2006 11:07

dietneeded; ds, dd1 and dd2 have all at some stage rolled down from the bed (please don't call social services). dd1 also fell down the stairs when she just started to walk, had a big fright! but she was OK, had gate down stairs but not upstairs as I was worried about ds climbing over it,after she fell put up gate upstairs as well.).

After dd2 was ill she has started this habit of waking up every 2 hours again and feeds more than during the day .

IamBlossom · 29/12/2006 14:34

Diet don't worry I shut DS1's fingers in his bedroom door and the fridge door. Felt TERRIBLE!

Chrimble went fine, stress free in fact, although have had a cold the whole time and still have it. Boo hiss.

Got some great pressies and the kids had a whale of a time. DS1 being quite a trial now though.

Gave Toby solids on Boxing Day night as he kept waking up for milk, and the last three nights he has slept 6 till 6pm....consider yourself weaned Toby! :-)

back on later for a better catch up.

Hugs KZ...

Bloss
