Ladies, thought I would do the new thread as the other one is taking forever to load up.

Wallace- Just a quick note. I once read an article where a mum had just taking her sleeping child in out of the car, when a neighbour came rushing into tell her that her car was on fire.
Apparently it was an electrical fault and can be quite common. Now i dont know if it was just for a particular make of car (and I dont know what that car was) but it stopped me leaving my girls sleeping in the car.

I'm not trying to be funny. I hate moving Jazz if she is sleeping but I wouldnt want her hurt either.

(sorry for sticking my nose in!)

maewestyemerrygentlemen · 13/12/2006 18:10

Gosh, you lot don't half talk a lot . It's taken me a while to read through all the messages.

Well, DS is now 17lb 6oz at 19 weeks, so continuing to be a little chubster. He started rolling onto his side yesterday for the first time when I took his nappy off at bf group, he looked v pleased with himself and promptly stole a toy from the baby next to him . He's also holding himself up really well in a sitting position, will sit up by himself for all of half a second before keeling over, but has started putting his hands out to steady himself, so sweet. No sign of teeth (that I can see/feel) but manic drooling and chewing!

I have come to terms with the fact that he seems to be a power napper during the day, I try and make sure he has about 3 short naps, mainly to prevent whingyness as he's really miz if he doesn't nap. My mum reckons he may get better at napping once he gets mobile, here's hoping... And sleeping through the night? Let's just draw a veil over that shall we...

christmas pressies - I have bought the boy a stocking which will have a teething ring, a rubber duck and some socks in it. I've just bought new clothes for himn and he will get plenty from the grandparents. Gave him a piece of wrapping paper to play with today and he went into a frenzy.

Got to go, baby to feed and put to bed.

KZ when was Roshi born? She looks sooo much older and grown up than Eilidh.

Just out of interest whose lo was born 1st and last? I can't remember

Eilidh must have been one of the last on the 1st of August.Maybe thats why she seems like such a little baby still.

KZ your two lo's are way cute.you make yummy babies!!!
Roshi's hair is very like Eilidh's.

TwinkleInSantasEye · 13/12/2006 22:14

I'm here KZ . What a gorgeous pic of the two of them. And I can't believe that pic of your DS at 3 mo - he looks so much older! Aidan still looks like a real babe as he's hardly got any hair at the front and what he's got is really blonde.

Agalch - sorry you're feeling low. Aidan's our first and I'm not sure about having any more at the mo but I still want the choice for some time yet. How on earth do you manage with 4??!

Kbaby - the playnest is pretty good. Aidan's so desperate to sit up and we've already had one accident due to me getting distracted. It's good to know he's safe in there. At the moment, though, he tends to loll back against the sides most of the time and gets himself into loads of weird positions that I have to rescue him from. But it's that or the playmat now - I daren't leave him in his bouncy chair as he leans so far forward I'm scared he's going to tip himself out.

ImpyChica - respect for managing to express and feed at the same time. I could never do that - guess it must be a bit like bf twins.

TwinkleInSantasEye · 13/12/2006 22:31

Thought I'd post a few more pics:

taken on Monday, little baldy

Aidan in his playnest

Fast asleep

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 14/12/2006 08:01

loving the pics girls.

A bit of all that hair kz. dd1 and 2 only had a very fine covering of hair till they were over 1 year. Looks like Jazz might go the same way.

Has anyone got xmas outfits for their lo's. If so lets see them. Jazz has several, will get marc to post some when he gets back.

kz- poor Roshi give her a hug from me.

thats all for now.

pink.

xmasstocking · 14/12/2006 08:24

Gorgeous piccies KZ/Twinkle! KZ - DS looks so mature in that photo not like a baby at all - are you sure he was 3 months old?? And the one of them playing together - so sweet. It must make you feel all warm inside when you see it!

I was right - Josh has got a cold and is all sniffly - hopefully might explain why he threw up twice yesterday but not sure if it is his cold or whether it is because I am weaning him too early - gonna lay off the solids for a while until he is better.

Twinkle - saw you on the other thread - glad Aiden liked his pear puree - heres hoping it stops his sickness Must get DH to blow up Josh's playnest as Aiden looked so comfy in it and can obviously see more of what is going on.

KZ - hope you had an ok night with Roshi.

Was reading all yr messages and thought I'd got DS down for 40 winks, but heard rustlings after 20 mins. Left it as long as I could, pretending that the chat I could hear was just him sleep chuntering. Finally got curious about all the heavy breathing and went upstairs to find out that he'd pulled his fluffy cow comforter onto his face and was panting excitedly . Am I breeding a Tory MP here? Also grinned in anticipation as I checked his nappy - second poo of the day and it's not yet 9 o'clock!

OK, let's see how I go with the link thing - more pics of the boy here . Taken in last few days - the one in his bouncy chair is not particularly flattering, but I like to think he has a good "who ate all the pies" expression. The other shows his rolling ability (and his thunder thighs ).

Was looking at some of his old photos and he looks so diddy - also think he has LESS hair now than when he was born, mainly in his quiff down the middle. Also fairly blondie.

Take care ladies with babies xx

xmasstocking · 14/12/2006 09:05

Mae - can't see piccies - the link takes me to the homepage and asks me to log in.

TwinkleInSantasEye · 14/12/2006 09:09

Sorry MaeWest - your link's not working hun! LOL at your DS! I got Aidan's early photos out the other day and he's got way less hair than when he was born - I couldn't believe how different he is now.

maewestyemerrygentlemen · 14/12/2006 09:23

trying again

xmasstocking · 14/12/2006 09:30

Mae - he looks lovely. at his comforter - Josh does exactly the same but with his cuddly zoo toys - I hate to think what that may mean in the future!!

Josh's hair is now growing back quite rapidly after it all fell out (it didn't just thin, it completely fell out until he was like a snooker cue ball as DH used to call him whilst polishing his head with a muslin)

Awww he's lovely! That bouncy chair looks a lot safer than ours - that'll teach me for buying a cheap one I suppose.

JeanieJingleBells · 14/12/2006 11:20

Hi girls,

My best friend found out last week that she is expecting a July 2007 baby, and is due on the same day as I was.
I have been so excited for her so phoned today to check how she is and I am soo gutted for her. She has been bleeding over the last couple of days. She has been to the hospital and they have told her that her womb is still closed and she has to go back in two weeks (Xmas day), to find out if the baby is still there and is growing.
I feel so sad for her.

Anyway will catch up on posts later

Love Jeanie

pinktinselanddollymixtures · 14/12/2006 11:46

oh jeanie- I will say a prayer for your friend. I really hope that everything will be ok for her. Sending her big hugs.
