I do hope Agnu is OK?! Kitty I'm not so concerned about because she can have quiet spells so hopefully we will hear from her soon!!

Bring - I'm 5 weeks now. It's going sooooo slowly Biscuit I go through moments of freaking out that a MC can happen at any moment to feeling very happy that I'm pregnant! I'm still getting twinges here and there which is the only thing that makes me feel pregnant. I've told my mum. It was too hard work not to say something when she was coming to ours for NY. I'm hoping to book a midwife appointment tomorrow for the end of the month.

Eeeek..:need some sound advice from you lovely ladies. I had invited a friend over to play this week but she's turned around saying could we go to the farm instead because her youngest is on the move. That would be fine with me but I am concerned about 2 things. 1) lambs and 2) the big big slide that bpear will drag me on numerous of times Confused Should I be worried about either?

peardrop2 · 04/01/2016 19:32

Just remembered I've been worried about that lambs before haven't I Blush

Frus - I just clamped my legs very tight Shock wow you brave brave lady! How do you feel emotionally? Hope the soreness fades by tomorrow and you get a good nights sleep Thanks Is something like that done at the hospital or at your gp?

So, like a mad lady I've looked on the farm website. Their news page say they're expecting hundreds of lambs to be born in their lambing tent in February half-term. I think I'm safe...phew! Last time I did a nappy change when my friends went off to the lambing tent...it's all coming back to me now Blush OK so I'm going to tell bpear we can only go on the slide 3x because of the baby Blush if my friend is not near Blush He's been kicking me a lot recently at nappy/tantrum times so we've told him that he can't kick mummy because I have a baby in my tummy. I don't know why or how but he seems to have got the message because he doesn't kick me anymore and last night at story time he asked to kiss the baby which was lovely. I really doubt he gets it but whatever works!

I was meant to go to bed early but I've spent hours googling Roman/Venetian blinds because I am so desperate to get some house stuff done. I can't believe I've been living in a kitchen for 3 years with 50% blinds Angry DH promises that we will get things done this year. I'm not the patient person though BlushConfused

peardrop2 · 04/01/2016 22:32

Oooo forgot to say I booked my midwife appt today. They have nothing in the diary until Feb when I'll already be 11 weeks. No change with my midwifery services then Sad I'm even thinking of now booking my second appointment in advance although I hear that you don't get seen much the second time round anyway!

Thank you Frus! I think most blinds now come with a safety thingy that you screw onto the wall with a short chain. Bpears blackout blind did anyway. I love how all the examples in the video link would cost an arm and a leg Sad Wish they could do cordless blinds at affordable prices...so annoying! We're having to pay an extra £150 to get cordless shutters downstairs...makes me so cross Angry On a plus side it will look v nice though and I will finally have more privacy which will be such a plus when I'm breastfeeding again!!

So, the farm visit was amazing today! I somehow managed to completely skip most of the animals because the kids won't interested and the slide! For once bpear was so independent and was on the trampolines by himself for at least 40 minutes!! He's so tired that I've managed to get him in bed by 7pm tonight and I'm going to have an early night too just after I eat my cheese and toast that DH is making (had chicken korma earlier) Blush I am crazy hungry just like the last pregnancy!! Minus the severe constipation I had in my first pregnancy this is is feeling like a very similar pregnancy. Starting to think maybe it's another boy?!?!

peardrop2 · 06/01/2016 19:49

Ooooo chain tensioners! Yeah that's what the thingy is called! I was thinking wth is a chin tensioner Wink

Happy new year!

Glad to hear you're doing well pear. When I was on holiday in Sept. I went up a water slide and was sitting at the top read to go when I suddenly had a stupid 'oh I'm pregnant. This is madness' but had to go, so I ended up holding on a bit to slow down and got a MASSIVE friction burn on the inside of my arm like a total numpty. So sweet about BPear kissing the baby. C does that too and tries to give 'her' food or tickle the baby through my belly button (which is grim because I HATE people touching my belly button). He's constantly talking about the baby now but did declare to his nursery yesterday ' no more babies. Just one, but no more'. Eh, ok!

Frus glad you're feeling better too. Well done you for getting it done. I really don't want to but DH is very, very resistant to the idea of a vasectomy and we need to do something after this baby is born as we definitely don't want anymore. I'm not taking any more hormonal contraception and I don't trust condoms. I think it's his turn.

Congrats on getting that done frus! Permanent BC has been on my mind lately too. We haven't really spoken about it yet. I've got a coil in and it's not a problem now that I've had it for a while. It's good for another 8 years so maybe we'll talk about it more in the future? Hopefully the symptoms are starting to subside for you. Flowers

Glad you had fun at the farm pear Also funny to hear that you're starting to get the pregnancy eternal hunger. Have you had to wake up to eat a sandwich in the middle of the night yet? Wink. With M the crazy nausea didn't start until around 7 weeks, but then definitely lasted all the way through 13-14 weeks. It was so much stronger with her than the boys, totally knew it was a different flavour in there.

Speaking of this little girl. She. Is. Driving. Us. Mad. She took a nap at daycare yesterday (despite DH and I constantly reminding her daycare lady to please not let her nap) and then we couldn't get her to fall to sleep until ELEVEN FUCKING THIRTY. So of course she was an exhausted, crabby little shit all day. So we go to the zoo to make sure she's well and proper worn out and she falls asleep for a whopping 20 minutes on the car ride home at 3:30. Now it's nearly 9:30pm and I've put her to bed 3 different times. She's shouting from her room that she's hungry, she's wants to pee (not really, she just wants to get a chocolate), she wants her dad, she wants to get out, just shouting, shouting, shouting. I'm ready to pull my hair out. I'm like at my whits end on what to do to make her shut up and go the F to sleep. Angry

Loraline · 08/01/2016 10:52

God, I'm so glad the 'getting up at night to eat' phase has passed. My nausea this time was much the same as last time - maybe a bit worse - so maybe another boy?

Frus DH was asking his bil about it at Christmas as he had it done relatively recently so hopefully he's mulling it over a bit! BIL was fairly chilled about it - yeah it hurt a bit but recovering time was relatively quick and it wasn't too bad kind of thing.

bring 11.30! Shock DS has always been tricky to get to sleep and is a bit worse the last few days but I'm putting it down to being back at nursery. Still, on a really bad night he'd still be asleep by 9. He still naps (at home and at nursery) and is definitely not ready to give them up. He's a real handful in the afternoon if he's not rested.

peardrop2 · 08/01/2016 18:39

Bring - I can totally sympathise with you Thanks We too experienced recent waves of struggling to get bpear to sleep until after 9. I've got friends with kids the same age who're waking up at least 3 times in the night at the moment so I am just counting my lucky stars I'm not experiencing that right now. We've gone back to having to give bpear a 15 minute hug before we can put him down in his cot at naps and bedtime Hmm We tried CIO and the slow withdrawal approach again back in December but he started physically hurting himself throwing himself around the cot and it was just too dangerous to carry on. Basically for us it's got to the point that we need to move him into a big boys bed to do some proper sleep training but now is not the time as that will open up a whole other can of worms. I would love to say that one day he will just let us pop him in his cot and say good night and walk away but I can't see that happening. I don't know what we will do when the baby arrives because how will I cuddle him for 15 minutes if the baby needs my attention? Mustn't worry about it as its so far away.

peardrop2 · 11/01/2016 22:35

Bring - Have nighttimes quietened down in your household? Has m settled back into a better pattern yet?

Lor - I haven't been getting up in the night to snack yet. I did in my last pregnancy but not this one. Toilet trips, yes! In this pregnancy I am finding that I need to snack on savoury things like toast, bread sticks and rice cakes otherwise I feel a small amount of sickness. I say small amount because I'm never sick. It's hard to describe really. It's really lovely that I'm not craving sugary things like I did in my last pregnancy. I've completely gone off chocolate which is great. Plums and oranges... can't get enough of!

peardrop2 · 11/01/2016 22:38

Last time we heard from Agnu was 24 November. Hope she's OK! Confused

Thanks for asking pear. Yes, it's gotten slightly better. We talked with her daycare provider about what was happening and so she didn't let her nap on Friday or yesterday and she went down for bedtime without a problem. She had a sleepover at her daycare provider's house as the provider's Christmas gift to us parents on Saturday so it was a blissful night without having to getting her to bed! We took the boys out to the theatre to see the new Star Wars movie, dinner and some lava chocolate cake and ice cream at an old diner :) She woke up in the middle of the night on Sunday though so I don't know if she had a dream or it was because of the sleepover and she was worried she was back there... or what was going on. It seems to be one night at a time.

I do remember just feeling slightly green around the gills all the time. Oh the joys of pregnancy! Hope it's staying down for you a bit!

I do hope she's ok too! AGNU, where are you! ?

peardrop2 · 13/01/2016 21:21

Bring - thanks, no sickness yet so I feel very lucky so far Wink

Just found out that I'll be 24 weeks pregnant on my friends hen party. I think she's still stuck on going abroad. I know I'll be very nervous to be out of the UK and away from DH but the positives are that I'll get a tiny break in the Sunshine and in theory I should be surrounded by mostly understanding mums so apart from struggling to stay up late it might be a nice break for me?!

Have any of you flown around that time in pregnancy?
