Kitty - how is kitten doing? Any progress? Bpear didn't bat an eyelid about the crash which is just bizarre considering the impact! It's done £250 worth of damage and I'll loose my car for 3 days near Christmas which is a pain but there we go.

Thanks ladies for your support Thanks I was super excited about my development until I got the news that my last to fall pregnant friend TTC no2 is now pregnant. Bamm Sad I've decided not to tell DH about this one as its not going to help his ego at all. We're soon entering into fertile week and DH is so insanely busy with work that I think it's totally blown our chances this month. I haven't seen him all week because he comes to bed later and gets up at the crack of dawn. So even though we have the holiday coming up I think his swimmers will be dead because I've not been able to check his diet, water and vitamin intake. I did have a glass of wine last night when out but did say no to pudding. Man is it hard to be healthy when there are chocolate coins and mince pies everywhere!! Shock

kittykatsforever · 06/12/2015 17:56

Pear personally I'd give it up over Xmas that's what I did. I couldn't have drink more alcohol if I'd tried. I think dh should stick to trying the water and vitamins as that seemed to make a difference but in terms of food ect I can't believe it makes that much difference if your diet is majority healthy. The way I viewed it is I'd be miserable and not pregnant but then that's just my point of view. Dont be too hard in yourselves

peardrop2 · 07/12/2015 23:20

Kitty - I like your idea of my DH having to make more effort then me Wink

So, I had a tearful mini meltdown on the way to our holiday destination yesterday (it was coming) and I now feel a lot better. I blurted out that our friends announced their 2nd pregnancy bla bla bla and DH didn't say too much about them but did share his concerns over my current mentality Hmm I can't deny how I feel at the moment but I have promised to try and enjoy myself this week. I think he gets it. We were in a situation at the weekend where he saw bpear kissing a baby and the mum say to bpear "oh you'll soon be having a sister won't you"! I get this a lot because bpear loves babies and I think that is quite unusual for an active boy toddler so unfortunately for me all the mums (non the wiser) notice and make their light hearted comments that hurt me. Anyway, this instance flew over my head because I'm used to being surrounded by it now but DH saw it for the first time and maybe saw a little window of my daily emotional battle?! Who knows. All I know is I have to be grateful for now and enjoy Smile

Other news...the bride wants to go on a 2 day hen party weekend in Europe. Shock The good side is it appears she might want to organise it all herself. Controversial...but will certainly lighten my bridesmaid duties!!!

How's everyone? Visiting Santa this year?

Hi. I've totally dropped off this thread for ages. Been mad busy at work (when I usually, sneakily, do my posting) and home is always busy as you all know, with a 2.5 year old! House was decorated and tree up last weekend and we're off to Somerset to see DH's family this weekend before we spend Christmas itself in Ireland. Can't wait.

My DBro had his baby earlier this week! DSil was booked in for a section on Wednesday morning (just over a week before due date) but baby had other ideas and her waters broke on Sunday night. She start to contract on Monday morning so they took her in and she had the section then. Lovely little girl (they have a 20 month old boy already).

I had my 20 week scan last week too and all is well.

I've just about caught up on all the news. Bring your family really keep you busy don't they? Hope your parents are doing okay.

Mostly though I wanted to see how pear is doing. Glad car crash wasn't worse but amazing you got an appointment so quickly and all is moving along. Sounds like you saw someone really good and really thorough which is fab. Fingers crossed for some progress.

T-minus 1 week till the wedding. Despite taking my dress into the tailor to have it taken in and hemmed, she did a crap job (and was a complete wacko on top of it, too weird for me to even describe) so I just took it home and fixed it myself. She had taken some boning out of the bodice and put in bra cups to help fix a weird pointy-boob problem, but with the bra cups, she only made the problem worse and I look like something out of a vintage 50's dress catalog with major fake huge pointy boobs! I pulled all the lining out of the bodice, pulled the bra cups out, changed the darts to actually fit my very small boobage and just added some thin bra cups that I pulled out of an old swimsuit. Now it actually fits my body and makes me very proud to be small-chested :) No shame in no boobs. I'll be hiding in most of the pictures and it's an evening wedding so I can't imagine the lighting to be too revealing at my slightly altered dress. I can't even being to describe how much I'm looking forward to it being next Saturday and being done with all this crap.

M is much better- thanks for asking! She's back to being her very demanding, testy 2 year old self again. Hmm

.... and divorce is officially finalized. Parents signed the papers last week. Glad that's done.

Poor little dude! Those ear infections are sneaky! I hope he's feeling better now after a couple of days of anti-bx! Hope you're sleeping better as well frus!

Glad to hear all's well, Lor! Christmas in Ireland sounds fabulous!

Wow pear! Europe! Shock Is she going to pay for that then? Aaww. I'm glad your hubby is starting to see some of what you've been sharing with us, and being understanding for you. It's the two of you together. And also agree, just enjoy this holiday time! Healthy, but still enjoying the things you love! There can always be a balance :)

Oh no! You practically have to sit on kids to get them to take that stuff! Not a fun time. 5x per day!! Jeesh that's a lot!

peardrop2 · 13/12/2015 00:03

Back from hols. Feeling rested and beautifully tanned [santa] NOT Grin I did get a CB smiley face on Thursday though so that was a positive! Another month ovulating around CD22...my cycles are so long winded! I'm booked in to have my 21 days bloods next week to confirm ovulation. It's all so sterile and routine now...it's amazing that DH and I even manage to dtd!

Yep...Europe! Please please please let me be a pregnant bridesmaid!!

Bring - glad to hear M is back to being a madam Wink Eeek 1 week to go!! Your dress situation sounds hilarious even though it's not! You have to laugh at the crazy situation. Maybe you will, years later!! Once, I wore what I would describe as a black witchy itchy bridesmaid dress, delightful! Have you got all the Dc outfits sorted and do they still fit? Confused

Frus - Awwww poor DS. Why is he low in iron? Because of being poorly?

Lor - Thank you very much for thinking of me. Glad to hear all is well at your end. Will you find out whether you're having a b or g? Exciting!! I guess everyone will be guessing like mad when you see your family at Christmas! Has your son felt any kicks yet?

peardrop2 · 13/12/2015 00:07

Bring - oh and whoop to one family drama being sorted even if it's not the nicest-result HmmSad At least you can all start adjusting to a new beginning. It's very odd when your parents divorce and you'll talking about signing papers with them...been there myself!

Wow Frus. How are you still standing? That's a hell of a lot for your family to digest medically in one year! Father Christmas owes you big time!! Are you relieved now that you have an answer to his eating habits? Are you pleased with the help they're giving you? I hope so!!

peardrop2 · 13/12/2015 21:47

Help!!! Bride is asking for my measurements Shock Bride has obviously completely gone the complete opposite to what I thought she would go and wants to organise now now now. She hasn't even hinted what the dresses look like Sad Do I A) keep her hanging and hope that I get a Christmas bfp? B) somehow make a hint that I could be pregnant (just shows how she doesn't know me anymore as I did tell her months a go that we were TTC!) or C) Keep zipped. If I do C then what will happen? She is getting them made somewhere. No idea how or where.

Aww Frus! You must spend a lot of time in the garden. I have to admit that in this wet weird weather I haven't allowed bpear to even get close to soil as indoors is always more appealing Blush

Maybe what I should do is add a few inches to my waist and hips and just be prepared to pay for someone to take it in?

bringonthetrumpets · 14/12/2015 17:20

Hope the holiday was at least a little bit relaxing, pear Wink GREAT news on the smily face! Let's hope for a Christmas BFP! Hmm... I'd be way nervous about mystery bridesmaids dresses too! I think it'd be better to go with a bigger size and take it in than the other way around... just to be on the safe side. Speaking of, I have to finished sewing the lining back together in my dress and yes, it's an itchy one with the top part being in black lace. UGHGHGHGHGGH. Nearly there. Got the schedule emailed to me by my future SIL. It's going to be a LONG FREAKING DAY. 12 hours she's got us scheduled out to a T. WTF am I going to do with M to keep her happy and entertained for 12 hours? We have to be at her room at 9:00 for breakfast and makeup and hair and and and and and all the way until 9:00 when are "free to go party". Hmm Should be a great time.

Fruss I'm almost wondering if there are other mineral deficiency involved as well beyond just the iron. It's something midwives often check for with pregnant mamas who have pica. Although, I'm afraid I have no idea what tests to even suggest to check for in small children. I'm sorry this is a stressful time for you. Onward and upward to a less stressful 2016!

Sometimes, Frus. That would be an interesting link!

Great news about the upcoming op! I'm glad it's scheduled to be sooner rather than later.

Guilty pleasure at the moment: Gossip Girl. Blush

peardrop2 · 18/12/2015 08:03

Anyone else totally freaking out that it's Christmas in 1 week? Ahhhhhh!

kittykatsforever · 18/12/2015 08:08

Gosh fruss you don't get it easy do you!! How are the iron meds going? Any improvement? Has the vile yellow one finished yet?
Kittens laxatives are working well, I wish I hadn't resisted so long it's so much better to feel she's not uncomfortable or in pain now
Pear like the others I'd add an inch/dress size and just take it from there even at 20 odd weeks I could still wear my own clothes maybe she's picked a good design dress?!? You can hope anyway
