Fingers crossed for the breastfeeding group babiecakes. So glad you have somewhere to go!

I need to go into the village but the weather is so rubbish it isn't encouraging me to rush out!

PenguinPoser · 20/07/2015 11:58

Hope you manage to get out babiecakes. I've been for a 3 mile walk and dd slept for the last 20 minutes then woke when we got home. She was up again at 5am. Realistically I need to go to bed when she does to get more sleep. Bye bye evenings!
Cinnamon I agree she should be having about 14h ideally. I'm working on it Grin she is now doing her favourite falling asleep on boob routine and I'm hungry and my arm is going dead where she's resting!

Wasn't meant as a criticism PenguinPoser just as an idea if she isn't sleeping enough that could be leading to the restless nights.

Argh my minded little boy is not happy today Sad he screamed all the way back from taking ds2 to school and has been crying every time I say no, the hugest over reaction was as he went to go head first out onto my patio!

Wineandchoccy · 20/07/2015 16:33

We have had a lovely afternoon at the sensory place, dd loved the ball pool and swinging on the giant swing, I had fun as well Grin I can definitely recommend seeing if there is a sensory place near you as all the babies seemed to love the music and lights.

Oh no cinnamon I didn't think it was a criticism sorry didn't mean to sound like I did Smile I think you're right. It's proving hard work though. I walked 3 miles this morning and she only fell asleep 15 min before getting home then promptly woke up again! We have had several extreme screaming episodes as well I've given teething granules and calpol as I just don't know what's wrong and now she's conked out in my arms but she's covered in sick (her own from before!) and needs a bath.... Hmm.

That sounds fab wine I'm going to look into baby sensory classes near me.

Babiecakes I know it's easy for me to say but really don't be too hard on yourself. Take things one day at a time. You can get better because you have before, and you will get better, it will take time though. Literally one day at a time. You're doing so well with looking after your lovely ds and dd and they are lucky to have you. I really hope your DP is pulling his weight and supporting you Flowers

Glad you got some sleep babiecakes. Ds has decided waking every 4 hours again would be fun....I disagree!

Hopefully the team can help support you sorting yourself out. You are amazing, remember that!

Glad baby sensory was good Wine. Will have a look for September.

Hope DD settles soon penguin. It is so tough without sleep!

PenguinPoser · 21/07/2015 08:55

We had a slightly better night in the end. She was up 4-5 then in crib again until 7 so can't complain about that really.

Hope everyone has a good day. We were thinking of going to baby social this morning but the people I know aren't going so (being a wimp) I'm not going and instead will go to the retail park to check out if there are any sale bargains left! Financial advisor is coming later too as we are altering our life insurance policy having had dd. fun times!

It's tough when you're used to rely on each other and you can't any more Babiecakes11. Dh and I have had moments when we've needed each other but if we're both struggling it's soooo hard as you feel you can't lean as hard on each other.

Glad you had an ok night PenguinPoser. Don't get too excited about your financial advisor Wink

Glad you enjoyed yourself wineandchoccy! Sounds fab!

Dh and I are doing well at the moment. He got really cross at me just before bed last night but he very quickly stopped himself and apologised which was progress! I woke up this morning and felt really grumpy for no reason, thankfully managed to pull myself together. Just keep thinking about Sam's hospital appointment next week and it's getting to me already Sad need to try to put it to the back of my mind.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 21/07/2015 15:04

Just realised I haven't posted in ages despite logging on daily! Now I feel like a weird lurker! I hope Sam's appointment goes Ok Cinnamon. I can't believe how well you've done with all the check ups etc. I can imagine this one will be horrid but He seems like a strong little man. Not that it'll stop you worrying! Glad your DH is making progress!

FiRaffe · 21/07/2015 16:45

Glad DH is thinking cinnamon. I have my fingers crossed for Sam too.

I have been to meet some ladies at Wisley today and am shattered. Just having a nice cuddle with DS. He is so hot after today (though not been in the sun) unlike me who is burnt. ....oops!

Hope things continue to improve with your DH cinnamon.
Fi hope the sunburn isn't too bad! At least ds was ok but don't forget about yourself. Pleased you had a good time at the meet Smile

We have 4 month injections this morning Sad then going to sling meet to hire a sling. I want it for the weekend and to try and get dd to nap!

OP posts:
FiRaffe · 22/07/2015 09:21

Hope the jabs and the sling meet go okay. I am going to try the connecta today for the first time.

PenguinPoser · 23/07/2015 04:27

How did you get on with the connecta Fi? I think the one I've hired seems like a really good sling so going to try taking dd out in it later and see how it goes.

Injections yesterday were awful. She screamed and screamed Sad poor baby. Was quite sicky the rest of the day resulting in me having to change my clothes twice! Hope she's better today.

I really liked the connecta Penguin. I was worried about getting him in on my own but it was ok. I think I will probably invest in one for post caboo use.

Poor thing with her jabs. We have our last set the day we're going on holiday to my parents! I hope he will sleep!!!!

Ah that's good that you mentioned it babiecakes. My dd still has a slight squint and we have an appointment at the eye clinic in a couple of weeks time so will see what they say. I hope your ds doesn't need the procedure but at least there's something that can be done.

I've had a nice day today. Went to see my best friend and walked down the seafront. I took dd in the connecta and she stared at trees then fell asleep - result! We went for lunch then walked back but I put her in the pushchair as it was very warm to carry her. Meeting another friend further up the coast tomorrow to go to a cupcake cafe Grin yum yum. Then DH has a whole week off work so I'm looking forward to that. Hope everyone is doing ok.
