Yay cinnamon I'm glad he's had some sleep I hope it continues.

I've given up on sleep dd has fed every hour day and night for 2 days now, Dp was meant to do bedtime but landed up in tears as he says he can't handle ds hitting every time he tried to settle him or dd crying so I've had to get ds to sleep and I'm hoping dd goes to sleep soon.

PenguinPoser · 16/09/2015 21:17

Oh no monkeybabies :( that's really rubbish. sounds like he really needs the practice though at getting them to bed!
Cinnamon pleased that you've had a better day.
I didn't go to bf group this morning as dd was napping and she's been grizzly with a cold so I didn't want to wake her. It's awful hearing her snort away with her blocked nose!

This had dropped off my threads. Waves.
Night night. I wonder when the first wake up will be

cinnamongreyhound · 17/09/2015 10:03

Hi TinyTear!

Ds3 has just shown signs of his brothers cold yesterday evening, not looking forward that. Tomorrow is my last Friday that I will have littlies during the day! From next week I will be working 8-9 and 3.15-6 on Fridays Grin. Off to hospital this afternoon, hoping consultant isn't too concerned about his weight!

TinyTear · 17/09/2015 10:07

Yawn, first wake up was at 11 pm!!! Then 2h30 and 4h30 and 6...

But at 00h30 the pre-schooler climbed into our bed... Lovely...

Monkeybabiess111 · 17/09/2015 10:22

Sorry you had a rough night tinytear

Cinnamon good luck at the hospital.

Dd didn't go down until 11, woke from 12.30-2.30 then up at 5 and hasn't been to sleep again and of course she's very grumpy, I'm hoping she naps soon there's no way she's sleeping enough.

PenguinPoser · 17/09/2015 11:58

Waves at tinytear
Sorry about the bad nights Sad ours was better than anticipated given that she woke at 10 with her cold and then didn't wake until about 4.30 then 7 so not bad at all in the circumstances!
Cinnamon I hope your ds3 doesn't get too bad of a cold - it's miserable to see them poorly!

Monkeybabiess111 · 17/09/2015 19:20

Penguin glad your night wasn't to bad.

Dd just won't sleep for long at all these last few days Im hoping she will settle tonight we have waterbabies in the morning and I can't see us going if she doesn't sleep well, i am trying to keep positive but I keep worrying I'm going to back track with my mood if I don't get some decent sleep soon.

Monkeybabiess111 · 18/09/2015 07:15

Someone forgot to give dd the memo that ds wasn't hear last night she should have slept, really struggling today so going to waterbabies to get out as I feel I will snap looking at the same 4 walls all day.

I hope everyone had a better night and has a good day.

Pleased that it was a useful experience shiteforbrains. It's often good to have a debrief as in the heat of the moment it's hard to understand what's going on and why. I remember the doctors coming back the day after dd was born to go through what happened and see if I had any questions (dd needed blood samples taking from her head during labour and instrumental delivery) even though I was happy with what had happened I really appreciated them coming back to see me.
I hope you and your ds are better soon from the cold. It really is miserable having a stuffy baby.

How did water babies go monkeybabies? Hope it was good. I'm enjoying the second term so far as I think as dd is older now she enjoys it more and has started smiling in the water and kicking her legs Smile

Hope everyone's asleep!

Shiteforbrains I hope you and your ds are feeling better.

Penguin water babies was good, dd loves it she splashes the whole time she's in the water and hasn't gotten upset I feel she's the right age although we see the stage 2 class that are in before us and it looks really fun so I'm booking another block as its the only time I will get out to do things while ds is in nursery once dp goes full time.

I've gave up on the idea we will sleep again ds has chicken pox so I don't think sleep will happen although he's not to bad right now, dd just hates sleeping and I feel ill so we have an interesting night ahead.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Sorry to hear you're poorly shiteforbrains and glad your appointment was useful.

Glad you enjoyed water babies Monkeybabiess111, so hoping the one closest to us has a space in November. Hope the chicken pox isn't too bad, my boys reacted very differently to it.

Hope you're still having a lovely time wineandchoccy!

So after the consultant wanted us to start weaning ds3 due to his lack of weight gain and we tried sweet potato and broccoli yesterday. His tongue thrust is quite strong, but he did better today and ate more of it and seemed to get the idea of it more with pear this evening. I have cooked one of the recipes from his infatrini (high calorie milk that I need to add to his food) for tomorrow and will just keep trying little bits. I gave him some pear to chomp on and he really enjoy biting down on it but didn't eat any. Hard not to get excited once you get started, I wanted to try more blw but because they want to get more calories in him quickly so need to do some purees but going to mash it with a fork rather than purée to make life slightly easier!

Wineandchoccy · 19/09/2015 23:30

Hi all I'm back from my holiday I've spent the day washing, oh joy!
We had a lovely time but the drive home was awful it took 9 1/2 hours instead of 5 1/2 hours but thank goodness dd was ok. Dd loved the sea life centre I can highly recommend a visit to one. We built sandcastles, went swimming and been for lots of walks in the pram.

Sorry to hear about your DS monkeybabiess111 I hope he recovers soon.

It sounds like it was useful having a debrief shiteforbrains I hope you and DS get well soon.

I hope Sam enjoys weaning cinnamon we sat Eleanor in a high chair on holiday she looks so tiny I can't believe we can start weaning in 3 weeks.

It's dds christening tomorrow Im excited but I've 101 things to do before the service tomorrow. I hope after 2 weeks of eating fish + chips and ice cream my dress still fits Grin

I hope everyone has a good night.

Monkeybabiess111 · 19/09/2015 23:55

Cinnamon I think we all have that moment before weaning were we get sad but then it becomes great fun, I'm glad it's going well and I hope he likes tomorrow's meal.

Wine welcome back that's a long drive Im glad you enjoyed your holiday, I hope everything runs smoothly.

Dd is still awake she likes theses power naps and wakes as soon as she hits her cot but I can't co sleep with DS around so I have no idea how to change this as I'm barely getting more than 3 possibly 4 hours sleep all each night and I know I'm going to burn out eventually, I'm hoping once we move we can find a new routine and start afresh with it as that seems to be where we went wrong as we back tracked when ds broke his arm and we've not really managed to keep a routine going for long lately.

PenguinPoser · 20/09/2015 20:45

Hope ds3 liked the meal today cinnamon! I'm finding weaning a bit hit and miss depending what mood dd is in but overall she seems to enjoy things.
Monkeybabies I hope you can find a new routine that works as you sound like you're struggling :( just to say again though that you're doing great and are a fantastic mum - it must be doubly hard with having the 2.

Glad you had a good holiday wine. How was the christening?

My dd was christened today too - was a lovely day and I'm overwhelmed that so many friends and family came to spend it with us. DD was so good but she's exhausted and sleeping now. Need to get her into the crib though!

Wineandchoccy · 20/09/2015 21:42

I'm shattered after dds christening it was an absolutely amazing day the service was lovely and she has been well and truly spoilt with all the gifts and cards from family and friends. She has been asleep since 6.45pm as she was worn out from being passed around.

I'm glad you had a lovely day penguin

Monkeybabiess111 · 20/09/2015 21:50

Penguin and wine I'm glad both your days went well and you have sleeping baby's.

Thanks penguin I am struggling but trying to keep focus on what needs doing right now which is mainly ds is getting better and getting dd to sleep better. I have ds sleeping just waiting on dd to go back to sleep this is the second time she's been up tonight.

cinnamongreyhound · 22/09/2015 13:49

Well food is going really well!! His amounts are doubling every day and today I had to give him milk after as he was crying for more and he looked very excited when I put his bib on. Highchair arrived today too!

PenguinPoser · 22/09/2015 21:50

Sounds good cinnamon! Amounts are increasing here too - can't believe how much she's eaten today. Possibly too much dinner as she took a long time to settle to sleep. I need some more inspiration of what to feed her - need to get the book out again I think!

We have been to a cafe with SIL and DNiece today and dd went in a baby walker which she loved! We've also booked a girly weekend break with some of my friends which dd is going to come to with me and leave DH at home - in a few weeks time. I hope he appreciates the break! We did a similar thing last year (pre dd when I was pregnant) and had a weekend in a rural lodge and cooked Christmas dinner (early!) and just chilled out as we wouldn't all be together again for a while.

Tomorrow we have bf group, sling library to return borrowed sling, my dad is visiting then once my friend is finished work we are hopefully going to local cafe who are having a charity fundraising day. I'm tired just thinking about it all - going to go to bed!

Monkeybabiess111 · 24/09/2015 03:46

Cinnamon that sounds like it's going really well, dd has been increasing her potions I'm thinking of adding a third meal.

Penguin I hope your day went well yesterday and your break sounds like fun.

Dd has decided sleep isn't for her this week, I'm finding it really hard in the middle of the night it just feels like the night will never end ??.
We are off to do a fundraiser this weekend I'm looking forward to seeing ds enjoying him self but a bit apprehensive of being away from home and travelling 6 hours in the car, we need to go shopping and make sure we have everything today for it.

I hope you all had a good night.

Wineandchoccy · 24/09/2015 07:23

I'm full of a cold I feel dreadful Sad

I normally go to 2 baby groups on a Thursday but I'm not going as it's not fair if I pass my cold on to the other Mums and babies but I need to get out of the house for some fresh air.

I'm glad weaning is going well cinnamon

penguin your weekend away sounds lovely

monkey I'm sorry dd is not sleeping well.

Are you all feeding puréed food or doing BLW or a mixture of both? I'm planning on doing a mixture in 2 weeks when we start weaning but I don't know whether that is making more work for myself.

Monkeybabiess111 · 24/09/2015 07:49

Wine I hope you feel better soon, I'm doing purées because I don't trust myself enough to make them right incase she choked ??.
