Hello all! Any April 2015 babies who like me are in mid Cornwall? xxx

Monkeybabies111 · 06/09/2015 11:47

Hi mzzzpiggy I'm nowhere near Cornwall sorry.

I tried dd with more Porridge the morning and she liked it, I will try sweet potato and carrot for tea time for her and I hope she likes that.

Cinnamon I'm glad you found a new car and the dragon thing sounds like it's a great place to take the dc.

cinnamongreyhound · 06/09/2015 13:57

Yay that she's eating monkeybabies111!

Sorry mzzzpiggy, I'm in Suffolk.

Beautiful day here!

Wineandchoccy · 06/09/2015 14:42

Hi mzzzpiggy I'm in Lancashire. I had a girl in April, what did you have?

Packing for a holiday and looking after a baby is hard work, the house looks like a tip and I've got loads to do this holiday best be worth it.

cinnamon I hope the weather is nice where you are because we are going to Norfolk on Friday.

I hope dd likes her tea monkey

I'm looking forward to starting weaning although it's something else to squeeze into an already busy day.

PenguinPoser · 06/09/2015 17:13

You're right there wine it takes ages as bf still takes time plus the food! It's fun though.

Hi mzzzpiggy nope I'm really far away from Cornwall! But you're welcome to chat on here Smile how are things with your baby?

Cinnamon that sounds like a really good day out! Hope the new car is going well.

We had a better night last night after a stressful bedtime. Fingers crossed for tonight. About to give her some tea more mashed carrot and parsnip just waiting for it to cool.

We have the pink version of the cup cinnamon.

I really need sleep, dd isn't well and won't be put down I'm debating if I should go back to the Dr tomorrow Dp says it's a waste of time if it's just a virus but she seems so uncomfortable but her temperature is under control so he probably is right.
Ds made some amazing achievements today, he went into nursery and someone had forgot to put out his toothbrush and he said "brush teeth" Grin. He also with letters started spelling out words which has really shown me he knows a lot more than I give him credit for and I need to push him a little more, I've not really been keeping track of things which I now feel guilty about so need to make that my priority and each new thing he learns could bump him up to a communication style school rather than a sn school next year and that's what I've been hoping for.

Wineandchoccy · 07/09/2015 22:21

Yeah well done Master Monkeybabiess111

It's our 1st night of our holiday we are in a static caravan for 11nights, 4 nights in 1 place then we have 7 nights in a better caravan. This one is ok just very basic and the site is small. Dd was a bit harder to settle than usual but she slept lots in the car so her routine was a bit messed up. I can't sleep though because I can hear people talking outside and seagulls are Tap dancing on the roof.
We are taking dd to the beach tomorrow for the 1st time.

Shiteforbrains sorry you've not been getting much sleep, I've always thought if they are put down on there backs and roll them selves they are safe to leave in the position they find comfortable.

I'm a wreck today we had a better night and I'm not sure if the extra sleep has helped or made me feel worse, Dp came in and woke dd at 2 as he was out last night and was more a hindrance than helpful with what he was saying I just wanted him to go away by then end of it.
Ds has been doing good with his sleeping for the last week or two so there is some positive things which I am trying to remember.

Oh dear sorry everyone is having a rough time! I don't think we are fully into teething yet - dd chews everything but I can't see any teeth coming and she doesn't seem overly distressed. I'm going to the dentist later this week and they said they would see her too so I'll see if they think anything is happening.
I hope you have a better day with your dd monkeybabies.

Shiteforbrains I think cinnamons ds prefers to sleep on his front - sorry if I'm wrong but sure she will tell you when she's about Smile

It's a bit of a miserable day here today so far I hope it brightens up a bit!

Yes, it's us PenguinPoser Blush. I have been putting on his front for all naps since he was 10 weeks shiteforbrains. I let him for day time naps very early on and then when he woke for his 3-4am feed he would only sleep until 5.30 on his back so I gave in and put him on his tummy from 3-4 and he slept until 8am. My mum said if I was doing that why not put him on his tummy all the time so I did and he slept through the night since Shock. He now can roll onto his back and lifts his head very high so I no longer worry about it at all.

Well done to your ds monkeybabiess111! What is it with dh being loud around babies, mine has woken ds3 so many times already!

Hope you have a better night and that dad loves the beach wineandchoccy, which beach did you go to?

PenguinPoser · 08/09/2015 20:26

Don't be Blush cinnamon I hope you didn't think I meant it in a negative way just that you might be the best for advice Smile

Hope you're having a lovely holiday Wineandchoccy!

Just hopefully getting dd to bed now then u have washing to hang up and dishes to wash oh joy. DH is out but I might leave done for him to do when he gets back.

No I didn't think you meant it negatively at all it's just my hang ups about not following the rules! I generally do as I'm told.

Monkeybabiess111 · 08/09/2015 20:36

Penguin I hope your dd settles easily.

Dd isnt for lying down I took her to the gp she's has an upper chest infection but he thinks it will clear on its own and I don't want to stress her out as it sounds harsh when she Crys so it will be along night again (saying this is hopes she's sleeps now as she likes to make me out to be a crazy person).
It's just me and her tomorrow so if she feel better I'm taking her out, I was meant to be going and helping my nan out after she broke her shoulder at weekend but she's 70 and hasn't been keeping well and I don't want to risk dd passing anything on to her.

Shiteforbrains I really hope you got some sleep and had a good day today.

Dd and me had a good day just us and she tried sweet potato and parsnips and loved them so that's another thing to add to her list and weaning is defiantly good now.
Her and ds are asleep so I'm having an early night I'm hoping if we make it past midnight before either wakes then It will still be the longest if slept in a while.
I hope everyone has a good night.

Hope you're feeling better shiteforbrains - nothing worse than having a tiny person dependent on you when you're ill!

Hope your early night has paid off monkeybabies. We are on night 3 of waking at between 1.30-2.30 which is annoying as she usually doesn't wake until 4-5... Problem being when she wakes earlier she generally doesn't settle for another long sleep. I'm starting to feel it again now and just seems relentless. Wonder if there's a 6 month sleep regression? She's also approaching the peak of wonder week 5 which maybe explains it too. She's had pain relief I case of teething pain but still waking and wanting to boob for ages Confused shame it's not more comfortable for me to co sleep but I end up with such a bad back Sad

Sorry for rant!

Brrrr it's a bit chilly feeding in the middle of the night in a caravan I've got dd tucked inside my duvet and she's got that spaced out drunk milk look on her face Smile I feel mean transferring her back to her sleepyhead because she looks really comfy.

cinnamon we are near Scarborough at the moment but then on Friday we are travelling to Hopton in Norfolk for a week. It's years since I have been to Norfolk but my Aunty and Uncle live near Lowestoft so we are combining a holiday and visiting family.

monkeybrains I hope DS and dd slept for a while so you could catch up on some sleep.

penguin I hope this period of waking doesn't last to long.

shite get well soon we will be weaning at the same time because I think my dd is the same age as your DS, I sat her in a high chair the other day whilst we ate which she seemed to like.
