Cinnamon I hope it got sorted. Sorry I wanted to reply yesterday but couldn't log back in to mn for some reason. I agree it's ridiculous it shouldn't be up to you to have to chase down the prescription but of course you have to - and have the GP surgery ever heard of a pen and paper prescription...? They do still exist Hmm -that slight sarcasm is aimed at them not you!! Hope you're ok Flowers you're an amazing advocate for your little man.

Babiecakes I hope you're getting some rest. Sounds like the situation with DP isn't great - I know you're having a difficult time at the moment and I wish I knew what to say to help Flowers

That was my thought PenguinPoser, all prescriptions from the hospital are just scribbled down by the Dr but as I have no idea I didn't know if that was possible for them. I should pick up enough today to last until our next hospital appointment in sept and hoping he can at least reduce of not come off it then.

Once they've gone hope you can have some time to get your head together and talk to dh some more if you feel that will help babiecakes11. Really hope that things improve for you whatever way you decide to go Flowers

FiRaffe · 14/08/2015 12:38

Sorry just catching up after the mn problems.

Can't believe they were so useless cinnamon. I hope they can get something in place long term so it is easy for you.

cinnamongreyhound · 14/08/2015 16:12

Got it now but today I'm feeling a bit down, probably just tired and come down after a fantastic day at the making of Harry Potter yesterday and I feel so self conscious walking around with 6 boys! Most days it doesn't bother me but when I'm feeling a bit wobbly anyway I feel sad at all the looks I get. I couldn't have all those children myself but even if I did it's no one else's business, I shouldn't let it bother me!

PenguinPoser · 14/08/2015 16:48

I agree cinnamon what business is it if theirs even if they are all yours! People are too quick to judge. Pleased you had a good day at Harry Potter. I'd like to go there - I love Harry Potter Grin hope you feel better later on. The miserable weather doesn't help if it's similar at yours to the rain we have had all day.

Today I've been to register dd at nursery for when I go back to work. Scary! Then went for lunch with my friend which was lovely. I'm eating too much rubbish though and not doing enough exercise. I'm on holiday next week so will write that off but after that I need to exercise more and eat less Cake. That's the plan.

Babiecakes you're being so strong and you can cope. Did your DP find somewhere to go? Hope it gives you the space you need and fingers crossed you have a better night. Don't worry about complaining and talking about it we don't mind.

I've not been on here for a few days due to the logging on problems.

Sorry you are feeling down cinnamon you have had a lot to cope with lately and you shouldn't feel self conscious about being with 6 boys I bet people are thinking they are a credit to you.

babiecakes you sound like you are doing amazingly well with everything that life is throwing at you lately, stay strong Flowers

penguin I hope you have a lovely holiday. Are you holidaying in the UK or abroad? I bet dd has more luggage than you!

My Mum and Dad helped me with the shopping today because I needed all the bulky stuff washing powder, loo rolls etc then they treated me to lunch.

I made dd this for her room I'm rather proud of my creative efforts.

I'm up now! Between us I think someone is up all night. I'm trying not to think too much about going away I just want to be there. We have a drive, flight then drive again as we are going abroad Wineandchoccy. It's for a family wedding but making a holiday out of it too. DD does have so much luggage but unfortunately it all needs to go in mine and DHs cases as she's as infant she doesn't have her own luggage allowance. So the cases are quite full as I'm trying to cater for every possible eventuality!

That E shape with the buttons is amazing. How did you do it?

Oh no Babiecakes I'm sorry to hear about your step mum. It's awful not knowing. I know how it feels - my grandad is waiting to hear prognosis and treatment options for lung cancer that's just been diagnosed too. I hope your DP being away has been the kick that he needed and that things improve for you. You did great today taking the kids out and don't let anyone make you feel otherwise!

Hey! Im so sorry if I'm jumping the gun by posting in here and If i am and it should be somewhere more appropriate please signpost?
Ive not been on mums net really since I had my first and it feels like this is possibly more PFB than i ever was with him!

DD was 7/4/15 so she's 19 weeks tomorrow. She smiles and laughs, waves arms and legs about ect but she doesn't seem to have any head control still. She will lie in her cot or her pram, car seat or the chair where she spends a lot of time, we have a nuna leaf, but never once has she ever attempted to lift her head (you know like chin to chest). I vaguely remember DS would try quite often to lift his head up off the ground or out of the chair even very momentarily and its starting to worry me a little.

Someone please come along and tell me that I'm being a loon and none of yours are doing it either and I'm just being ridiculous?

cinnamongreyhound · 17/08/2015 07:44

So sorry babiecakes11, it never rains but it pours! Perhaps having something outside your immediate family to focus on will help dp to realise what he has and make home life better when he returns. In the meantime lots of hugs to help you get through this tough time on your own Flowers

Hi mysticlogistic, welcome! You would probably get more people to see your post in development but you're very welcome to post here. Does she hold her head when you're carrying her? Or if you pull her up from the floor, cot, pushchair? My ds is 18 weeks and he will occasionally pull his head off his bouncy chair very recently but he holds it well when I carry him or he's in the sling and will sit forward slightly when I pop him in the corner of the sofa briefly.

Wineandchoccy · 17/08/2015 08:00

Oh babiecakes your really having to cope with a lot at the moment. I hope life starts treating you and your family better very soon Flowers

penguin I'm sorry to hear about your Grandad, I hope he is ok.

Welcome mysticlogistic dd is my 1st and was born on the 11th April so I'm no expert but I've not noticed her lifting her head off the floor where she spends a lot of time playing on the gym but she has got good head control when picked up and when we do tummy time.

Oh and the E I made was from a shape I bought at Hobbycraft and covered with pink glue paste and buttons and beads. I saw them at a craft fair recently for sale £22 it cost me £12 and 1 hour to make. It was nice to do something and switch off from nappies and feeding for an hour. This weeks project is making Christening invites Smile

FiRaffe · 17/08/2015 12:36

The craft stuff looks great Wine.

Welcome mysticlogistic. My DS was born on 11th April and doesn't really lift his head when on his back, just when he's on his front.

Oh my, he just had a 2.5 hr nap.... don't know what to do with myself!
