Not sure I can tell you that PenguinPoser, my memory is awful!!!! Sorry to hear you had a bad night.

Glad to hear what ever you've done has sorted itself babiecakes11, hope your dinner is nice.

We are currently on the way home from picking dss up despite me saying we wouldn't be going. All week I've been saying to dh to check its ok for him to pick him up Friday as I thought it would be trouble as weve had an extra weekend to his mum but she's getting extra week days and as she doesn't work you would think that would be fine, we are going to ail tomorrow and she likes to see dss too. So dh did nothing and of course she kicked off. He said that could he at least pick him up 12 on Sunday so we could take him to sil. I said to him to offer us to drop him back in our way home Thursday and collect him as planned last night (he lives 45miles away so nice to be to do drop off or collecting while out that way) so what does dh do, offers her the extra day and arranges to collect him this afternoon so we're all doing a 90mile trip at our expense at this time in the afternoon and ds3 is screaming in the back Sad fed him in Tesco car park just before we left so he's not hungry, not sure what's up but if dh has listened to me either time we wouldn't be in the sodding car anyway!!!!! SadAngrySadAngry

cinnamongreyhound · 08/08/2015 18:07

Seems he was tired! Fell asleep feeding after not eating a lot, slept 40mins and woke up screaming, only feeding him is keeping him quiet and he's falling asleep now but not sure I'll be able to put him down, my fault for not letting him have a long enough nap this morning, now overtired ????

FiRaffe · 08/08/2015 19:44

Glad he fells asleep but not fair on you to have to do the journey.

We're like you at the moment Penguin - some nights 8-5, then others up every hour. We wondered if it was bath nights he slept longer so trying tonight with fingers crossed as I haven't had tea yet!

Our travel cot is a bassinette pop up one so quite light all round. Have wedged it between the wall and my feeding pillow (next to the bed) and it seems to have solved the problem but definitely won't be able to use it at home when he grows out of the moses basket. I hope he can't roll the basket over. .....oh that fun will just have to wait until we're home!

Hi all Smile do you mind if I join? my DD is 18 weeks. we should be on the march thread but they've all moved over to fb... would we be welcome here? x

cinnamongreyhound · 09/08/2015 08:16

I like to be quite strict with bedtimes babiecakes11, it's only you who suffers! I have friends who's kids are in bed really late in school hols but mine still roughly have their bedtime, they're probably up past 9 4-5 times a year, bedtime is usually 8. Hope they went back to sleep!

Hi chumbler, most of ours have too but a few of us stay here as well and wineandchoccy is here only. My ds3 was 17 weeks on Friday and other than having some kidney problems since I was pregnant is a little star, he's the most chilled out, smiley baby I've had. He sleeps well which is great as I'm a childminder and went back to work when he was 3 weeks old. Is your dd your first?

Welcome chumbler my dd was 17 weeks yesterday. Eleanor is my 1st and apart from a rough few weeks with undiagnosed tongue tie and colic she is a smiley happy baby now and I'm besotted with her Grin

We went to a food festival yesterday in our town, I'm just considering whether a scone and jam is an acceptable 2nd breakfast, bf calories don't count do they Wink

Oh babiecakes I'm sorry you had a rough night, feed dd and hand her over to your dp so that you can have a rest.

PenguinPoser · 09/08/2015 09:57

Hi chumbler! Yes you are most welcome. There's not many of us here now but we do still chat on!
I'm a march too (but had an April due date!) my dd is 21 weeks now. She's my first and she's getting a proper little personality now.

Well I was up 4-7 but that was due to some majorly inconsiderate people having a loud argument in the back lane at 5.15am and waking dd again. In the end DH brought her downstairs (with a little encouragement!) at half 7 and I slept again until 9 - amazing!

Having a quiet day today we need to do food shopping and start packing for holidays. This time next week we will be in the air - I hope!

thanks for the warm welcome everyone Smile

I had an April due date too Smile DD had to be induced early but all fine now. she's a really happy baby, very easy going, loves cuddles and spent the first 2 months constantly in my arms but she's starting to sleep much better now and can amuse herself at times, constantly hungry still though!

she's just started to be afraid of strangers and cries so badly if one talks to her - I guess like everything it's just a phase!

Welcome chumbler

DS is my first and is 17 weeks now.

He has started being really wary of strangers too. I think it really upset my grandma today who he met for the first time as he didn't want to come for cuddles with her. He's been passed round people all his life so not sure why but hope it passes.

Wineandchoccy · 09/08/2015 23:05

Dd was hard to settle tonight it took both of us, a change of sleep suit and sleeping bag, winding then more milk before she eventually gave in. My MIL and her partner visited earlier and I think with them cuddling her and playing with her it messed up the evening routine, I hope she has a settled night because I am tired now.

Hope everyone has a quiet night with sleepy babies Smile

PenguinPoser · 10/08/2015 04:06

Fi it will pass but I'm not sure when! DD still seems to prefer strangers she smiles at them all but I'm sure she will go through a phase of just wanting me - probably just as I go back to work!

Wine hope your night is ok after all that! I've cone to the (hopefully incorrect) conclusion that dd will never sleep through again. She did when she was about 10-13 weeks old but not since. I'm thinking of trying old tricks of tanking up with ebm bottle before bed etc to see if it helps. I'm just tired!

Fingers crossed for you wineandchoccy! Sam was passed around a lot yesterday but actually slept more whereas Saturday I disturbed his sleep in the morning as he was a parkrun with me and he was grumpy the rest of the day!

Ds3 is fine with strangers as long as he's not getting tired, he's quite a flirt actually grinning at a time who shows him the slightest attention!

PenguinPoser · 11/08/2015 20:27

Hope everyone has had a nice day. I've been to the park with some friends from work and had lunch then a walk and ice cream Smile dd napped on the way home and getting her to bed now. I'm feeling busy as I have plans every day this week - but that's how I like it sometimes. Nothing strenuous though! Tomorrow I have bf group and some stuff to buy and pack for holidays.
Fingers crossed for peaceful nights.

I'm exhausted today! We've been I tot the town to try and sort Sam's medicine and the bank then a very long trip to the park involved lots of walking around with baby in one arm and 1 yr old attached to other hand. Then been for a run with two friends and dogs. Sam was awake a lot during the day and happy with it but he went back to sleep at 5.30 and is still there now. Going to get him changed, give him medicine and feed him and see what happens Confused

Had a lovely meal last night for our anniversary, Sam woke and turned over but luckily my mum putting him back on his tummy worked a treat!

Just catching up.
DS is fine if i'm holding him and will smile at people but just not convinced at cuddles. Will keep going!

cinnamongreyhound · 12/08/2015 17:15

Grrrrr I'm feeling very angry and exasperated and frustrated!!!!!!!!! Went to collect Sam's prescription and low and behold, not there. Been to GP and receptionist I dealt with apparently thought I was going to call back (conversation went this is where you can get it from call ME back if you have any problems and I heard nothing) but they still insist they can't prescribe it because it's not on their system. So call the pharmacy at the hospital who said there is no reason why they can't prescribe it, if they can't provide it I can take the prescription to another pharmacy. Her words were 'I can prescribe it but it's here job so they can do it' so I took her name and number to call but she insisted I spoke to a GP not receptionist before I called back. I still only spoke to receptionist but she had referred to a GP who is still saying they can't prescribe something that doesn't come up on the drop down menu on their system and this doesn't. Rather than being batted back and forth I have now called the paediatric ward but Drs are all in hand over so I'm waiting still. I actually cried over it today, why is it so hard! I could probably weigh some salt at home and make a 30% solution myself!!!!! I'm so tired this week and feeling very emotional, perhaps af is about to return!
