I'm pleased I figured out what falling over meant Babiecakes - I had visions of your dc actually falling over Wink I find local language quite interesting. And that's coming from an area with lots of it!

Hoping I get back to bed soon. Today we have bf group, then men b injection. Hopefully seeing my mum later. The last 2 days it's just been me and dd during the day and I've been quite grumpy with DH on an evening not sure why. I think it's lack of other adult company. So today should be better.

I love that you can literally 'hear' the accent in lots of post, particularly the Scottish ones Smile my grandad was Scottish so I always think fondly of it as an accent.

That sounds like a good strategy babiecakes11 not that I know anything!

Sorry youre struggling with being on your own PenguinPoser! I used to struggle but I'm quite happy these days just talk dh's ear off when he gets home!

We had a lovely day yesterday in London, fed on the train at lunch and in Tower of London and that was it so pretty good. Got results too and Sam's left kidney is normal, draining well with no blockage. His right one is actually doing 23% of the work so is more active than they expected! We will get officially report in a couple of days but the lady from addenbrookes has looked closely and our Dr is confident that that's the final result Grin

That's fantastic news cinnamon

I hope you have a good day babiecakes I'm from oop north but work for a southern company and everybody at work takes the mick out of my accent which makes me go even broader lancashire Grin

penguin i hope today is a better day if you are busy, I find some days drag when I am on my own and nothing planned.

My mum and Dad have just brought dd back after taking her to see my Grandparents who are in a nursing home, I have just had to strip her to her nappy because she is roasting they had the heating on in the home in August. Poor baby she is really grumpy now Sad

I'm not expecting a good night tonight because dd had a really long sleep this afternoon then was rubbing her eyes again at 6pm so she has been in her crib since 6.20pm so as soon as bake off as finished I'm going to bed myself because I think she will up early.

Vaccinations tomorrow and there is a teddy bears picnic in the local park so if dd is ok and the weather is nice I am going to meet a friend and her little boy.

I hope everybody has a good night.

PenguinPoser · 06/08/2015 05:18

Hope the night hasn't been as bad as you thought Wineandchoccy! I'm a northerner too Grin (so north that I class anything below Leeds as the South!!)

Excellent news cinnamon!

Hope all babies are asleep. I'm going to try getting dd back in crib now.

Yay for your night wineandchoccy!
And so glad to hear you're feeling positive babiecakes11!

Went to the clinic today for weighing and Sam has lost weight Sad it's only a tiny bit (she said basically a poo) but he hasn't been weighed for a month so it's more significant than that as he should have gained 600g to be on the same line as he was on. She said she's not worried he looks very well but of course I am worried!

Sorry you have more worry cinnamon but I am sure Sam is ok and it's good that the HV is looking at him and not just the scales.

You sound a lot brighter babiecakes I hope you have a good night.

Dd has had her vaccinations today and been a bit grumpy since but I think she could be starting to teeth because she is very dribbly and has red cheeks. I had dd weighed for the 1st time in a month she is now 11lb 9oz, she is still only small but the HV is happy for once as they normally make me feel like a bad Mum when she hasn't put enough on.
We must have had a baby boom in our town we were queuing out of the door of the clinic plus Eleanor was the only girl in the queue, she will have her pick of boyfriends in years to come Grin

Dd has just woke for a feed I hope she settles quickly again I'm struggling to keep my eyes open it feels like I've only been in bed 5 mins.

FiRaffe · 07/08/2015 05:29

Oh no Wine, hope she's having a lovely sleep by now. I love her name too -not sure i'd seen it before. We have lots of girls here so DS will have his pick when he's older!

I don't know why i'm awake! DS is asleep although has had a big sneeze and a fart and is trying to roll out of the travel cot. Oh there we go, feeding time!

Has anyone else had problems with travel cots trying to roll over with the baby?

I use travel costs for work FiRaffe and I've never had a problem even with bigger ones standing up in them.

Sorry dd is up a lot in the night babiecakes11, not sure cleaning at 1am is the way I'd go though Wink

Hope dd is ok after her jabs wineandchoccy!

It's nearly the weekend, yay!!!

Wineandchoccy · 07/08/2015 08:51

Dd seems a lot better today she still has rosy red cheeks and lots of dribble so I definitely think it's teeth related.
Can I ask a daft question, does it not hurt to bf when teeth have come through?

Sorry I've not used a travel cot firaffe

The sun is shining here for once and supposed to be nice tomorrow as well and it's DHs weekend off. There is a food festival in town tomorrow which we are going to go to and probably spend a fortune in the process.

cinnamongreyhound · 07/08/2015 09:21

No unless they bite you wineandchoccy! Ds1 didn't but ds2 did a few times, I said a firm no and put him down briefly and then started again. Bottom teeth are covered by tongue but the top ones can be a problem until they get used to it.

Wineandchoccy · 07/08/2015 11:06

Ha ha thanks cinnamon I hope dd doesn't find me to tasty that she wants to bite me Grin

I think dd is teething too but they can teethe for months before actually getting any teeth so I'm told!

Glad your house is clean Babiecakes but I wouldn't be cleaning at 1am either! I'm trying to teach dd that night is night and nothing happens except sleeping. It's so hard to know what to do though if they won't sleep.

I feel like my head is full of cotton wool at the moment please tell me the baby brain goes away sometime! Left my card at the bank amongst other things!!

Don't know why some nights dd only wakes once around 4-5 and then every few nights she decides 1-2am is good Hmm going to try back into crib soon. After her first wake up she normally doesn't sleep great so hope she proves me wrong.

Had pizza for tea and feel so thirsty. And tired! Hope everyone else is asleep. Babiecakes Highland games sound like fun!
