New resolution to post more. Sounds good Mrm re the tombola - excellent vfm. Also like the idea of twelly

CSWS - ds always went off savoury food in partic when teething.

DD has fever - may have foot and mouth - it's a things with spots as she was in contact with someone who had it last week - just given calpol and put her in a lighter sleeping bag after she woke crying and hope she will be ok tonight.

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 03/12/2006 19:20

Phoenix Xmas name is good

MRM, glad ds enjoyed himself

Morgan, booo at foot n mouth.....

Was just quickly flipping, as need to bath n bed dd1 now, no2 is in bed, catch you all later.

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 03/12/2006 19:30

We put our decorations up tonight

CranberryJelley · 03/12/2006 20:17

So did we I've been cutting snowflakes and sticking them on the wall...I even let the dds do a few.

I've forgotten who pre children Jelly was. I really need to get out more. I've got a night out booked next week, but my friends have booked a table for 7pm, and it's too early for me to get ds settled in bed, so I may end up cancelling.

Morgan. Stay and post more It's lovely to have you back.

FLAMEinEckItsYuleAgain · 03/12/2006 20:26

Argh @ foot and mouth (and at decorations )

TWO STEPS

Not a thing for the rest of the day, but DD did that - 3 steps, nothing for a week, then running

Very cuddly little dude all day - think its teeth etc just making him snuggly (he has a couple of interesting spots, but lack of temp etc makes me think they are just basic baby spots).

Forgotten most else

MRM - were you Ixel originally?

FLAMEinEckItsYuleAgain · 03/12/2006 20:33

I'm not sure I want pre-children flame... just Flame not on mummy duty for the night, and definately Flame rather than Christa.

CantSleepWithSanta · 03/12/2006 20:34

Know what you mean Jas. DH and I are off out for our anniversary next Sat, and have had to book the table for 9pm so that we can get DD to bed first.

Welcome back Morgan - will be lovely to have you posting more.

PG - MrCSWS feels smug, but also for you that you've had problems! Dare I say that he didn't have good things to say about Sky Broadband either?

flame - lol at dd knowing how clever she is!!

Have discovered that however much dd can't be bothered to eat at the moment, she has no problem devouring sultanas!

Went Christmas shopping today, and actually managed to buy for some of the adults, who are always a complete pain. Fed DD in the busiest John Lewis restaurant ever, and realised that I don't even notice any more if I get any funny looks or not! Can't be doing with all that going to the 'parents room' nonsense so that she can have her lunch!

CantSleepWithSanta · 03/12/2006 20:35

Crossed posts flame. I do put the old posting names on the first post of the thread for a purpose you know .

Are we talking unsupported steps here?

CranberryJelley · 03/12/2006 20:43

CSWS - What is bad about SKY b band ( I was going to swap but ntl cut their price when I told them so I'm staying for a bit longer, but was still considering changing)?

Were you bf in JL? UI can't feed Boy when we are out now, as he is just too distractable. He turns around constantly, and expectes me to sit with one breast out for 20 mins just in case he wants to have a quick go> Luckily I can just give him solids if we are out. I suspect if I didn't offer during the day now, he drop it completely

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 03/12/2006 20:45

Unsupported steps way2go flames ds OMG that means they'll all be at it shortly

Xmas dec's already, your all mad I'm fully intending to clear the house out a lot before I do anything like that, I have booked a skip for next monday, it will be full by Wed at the latest, I am creating (shhhhh) 'space'...

Jelley n CSWS your making me feel very evil, for just chucking the dd's at dh (and ss on friday) and legging it out the door to go out with my mates I must be evil mummy, mwwwwahaaahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahaha

CranberryJelley · 03/12/2006 20:49

Yes @ walking boy

I'd dump and run if I thought I could Friz, but he has a bf before bed, and that one is not being dropped yet (although he did only have on instead of two today. Possibly due to eating 2 yorkshire puddings with his tea)

FLAMEinEckItsYuleAgain · 03/12/2006 20:53

Yup, unsupported steps I didn't noticed to start with, then suddenly realised what he'd done and shrieked lots

DS can only be fed in private now due to him being convinced the ideal feeding position is pushing up on his feet with his bum in the air, face buried into my breast...

CSWS - I use the list to check the names of the babies

FLAMEinEckItsYuleAgain · 03/12/2006 20:55

I'd drop n run if I had the cash to

Can't afford to go out for drinks, and nights in at Psycho's still involves children

CantSleepWithSanta · 03/12/2006 21:16

Oh yes I'd leg it out more often if DD could survive without me (or more accurately my milk), and would sleep long enough that I could do it and not feel knackered the next day.

Jas - yes bf in JL. Gave her solids too, but she ate next to nothing, and she always has milk after her meals still. She was distracted, so didn't have as much as if she was at home, so gave her another big one in the car just before we drove back.

Asked dh to post re sky bband when he gets a tick.

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 03/12/2006 21:28

Ya know Jelley, dd2 won't eat yorkshires, its the only thing she doesn't like??? and yet she'll eat pancakes, and its the same mix, what's that all about?

MrCSWS · 03/12/2006 21:31

The problem with broadband is that in most cases BT still maintain the infrastructure and therefore, if you have a fault, they are the people who need to sort it out. In some cases this is not the case (when the "Local Loop" is unbundled). In Sky's case, i have seen problems in getting connected (including one guy who had to make 300 phones calls to get it sorted out). I think Sky is actually maintaining the local loop for their connections, so you might not be able to get it anyway as your exchange needs to have the Sky equipment.

Techie bit over,

Flame for walking

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 03/12/2006 21:36

What about me being Ixel before, anyway???

ds2 will never walk (although I did get his walker out of the loft today ready for xmas!) And the activity station went on ebay!

This morn, ds2 didnt wake up for his feed till 5am. Thats his usual bf time, having usually haf a bottle in the early hours. But today dh gave him a bottle at 5am... and the little toad still needed a bf after it. He did eventually go back to sleep (in our bed), and ds1 came in at 6.30ish and lay still for a change, so it was very very cramped for about an hour. And I had to stay awake incase ds2 rolled off the bed as he was on the outside (becuse dh wouldnt swop sides to let me bf on the right side).Ahhh!!!

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 03/12/2006 21:49

{{{Hugs}}} MRM that is not the start to a morning you want.
Mr CSWS I never knew that, good job we have you for a techie

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 03/12/2006 21:56

Flame, you know your missing period, how late was it???
Just sat here mulling on my 2nd glass of wine, 7 days late tomorrow, do I need to test again......

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 03/12/2006 21:57

I wouldnt mind so much if ours days started at a more reasonable time! Like something starting with a 7, for example What happened to kids being fooled into sleeping later on the dark winter mornings?

Mr csws; I'm sure you're lovely and very clever, but my brain does an auto shutdown when it hears or reads anything technical Dh will vouch for that.

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 03/12/2006 21:58

I wouldn't worry about a week. But then maybe I'm too laid back about things now!! I'm not even sure when I'm due; must look back in my diary (I do at least keep a note!)

CranberryJelley · 03/12/2006 22:04

First AF since Boy was born started today.
Must remember to check mooncup before bed.

I read and re read the post from Mr csws. Still have no idea what he said. Sorry Mr csws. I'll just take your word for it that I should stay ntl I think.

Frizbe -DD1 loves yorkshire puddings and won't eat pancakes!

CantSleepWithSanta · 03/12/2006 22:09

Bless him - he does try, but he needs an interpreter sometimes . In simple terms, BT usually own the wires that broadband comes down, so your provider has to go to them in the event of a problem. Sky own some wires in some areas, so don't have to go to BT, but if they don't own the wires in your area then you can't use them anyway.

When he said he'd been technical I told him no-one would understand .

mustrunmorenakedthroughthesnow · 03/12/2006 22:21

But he gets many many points for effort

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 03/12/2006 22:21

MRM do you think its all ok (looking at the amount of alcohol consumed this weekend for a refreshing change, that'd be just my luck its not eh!)
Jelley lol at your dd and mine eh!
CSWS I understood, does that make me a geek?
