Gosh the weather here has been rubbish today, can't believe the rain we've had!

Love the kisses that Q has been giving everyone, even if they are a bit slobbery lol. He's progressing well, if a little slowly, with weaning. Some bits are definitely going in as I spotted carrots in his nappy yesterday! He's having much more dirty nappies than before now and is getting a bit more wriggly when I change him.
pesto Q is still ex bf (apart from his bits of solids obviously) and will go 8-10 hours at night and has done since about 16 weeks. My older boys at this age were waking & feeding anything from 2 hourly. They didn't sleep through until 16m, 12m and 18m so if Q continues with his sleeping through he's way younger than the others were - I still expect him to wake every night and am waiting for it to all go wrong!

Pesto11 · 14/08/2015 23:07

Oh wow what a good sleeper he is alyx!!!
Yes we have 'snackers' sept
although this morning at 6am I gave her the dummy (for only the second time) and she chomped on that and fell back to sleep for an hour.

Think my body clock is getting used to the lack of sleep now!

Have a great weekend. Think I need to catch up on laundry and other boring housework while dh entertains dd!
Joy!

Dec1314mummy · 15/08/2015 00:03

I just did a crazily long post and have lost it!
I will try and remember it all!
Firstly, sorry for the absence once again. We have been away and I haven't been able to log in.
Trying to catch up again! little sorry to hear that Ds has been so grizzly. If it's any conciliation dd has been te same for a few weeks, but the last 2 days she has been a little better again, so I'm hoping it's a development thing! She constantly wants to be on her feet and if you put anything within her reach like your hand etc she pulls herself up and goes ridged when you try and sit her down! Miss independent!
alyx how cute that Ds is giving kisses! I love this age. They start developing so fast! Dd has started waving and dependant on her mood it's either full force waves or a dainty little royal wave! It makes me chuckle!
september Dd keeps copying Ds at the moment, which would be good if it weren't for Ds's tantrums as she's learnt to scream for attention! I'm not giving in and trying so hard not to chuckle as it's funny really! He's only started doing proper tantrums in the last couple of weeks, he's definitely in the toddler stage now!
pesto I hope the cv writing is going ok. It's never easy is it?
bigfam once again some adorable photos! Makes me broody again! Not good! Ha.
jobrum I hope you haven't has any more biting episodes. It sounds very painful.
Hope everyone is finding plenty to do in this terrible weather. I hate this level of rain as you can't even get then into the car without getting soaked!
Sorry if I've missed anyone or anything!

Thanks Dec. Josie slept well last night, 8 til 5.30, but she seems to be up for the day when she wakes then which I'm not prepared for. She's learnt the Indian noise but rubs her hand all over her face then gets dribble all over herself. I was just sat there yesterday thinking how fast the time has gone, in less than 6 months she'll be one! Shock

bigfam · 15/08/2015 12:38

Showing off her teeth

Jan 2015- what will they be doing next? Sitting, eating, crawling....
jobrum · 15/08/2015 19:36

Hmm, she tends to latch on with her teeth when frustrated or not that hungry I think. No more sharp biting though! She can sleep from about 7.30 to 3ish without feeds but often wakes up when we go to bed for a little snack and the last few days has been up for over an hour around 3, feeds again briefly at 6 and then goes to sleep again until near 9. Ive been loving the 'lie in' but Im going to set an alarm to get her up earlier as with breakfast, the feed she likes after then a nap I feel like half the day has gone.
She was a definite snacker until a couple of months ago when she just suddenly reduced her feeds. Now she feeds perhaps eight times over 24 hours.
We also have a few tantrums. Usually when I have to wrestle my mobile off her!

September60b · 15/08/2015 21:43

Little I do a bit of both with dd. She likes to hold her own spoon and feeds herself some finger food but we try and slip in some purées too! She does seem to prefer things like steamed veg and toast that she can hold herself.

I know how you feel re the overtired meltdowns too! Dd has dropped her 3rd nap the last couple of days but she's totally had enough by about 5pm. She's really difficult to put down when she's like that and last night woke every hour!!

Hope everyone enjoyed the better weather today!

bigfam · 16/08/2015 10:39

On the verge of crawling here, she sort of tucks her legs up to her tummy then pushes off from her toes onto her tummy, hasn't quite figured out she has to use her arms too. Grin

How is everyone?

Pesto11 · 16/08/2015 12:45

Ooh clever baby bigfam
sept my dd is addicted to toast!

I woke up from a dream/ nightmare where I'd discovered the reason I'm still so overweight and can't shift the weight- I'm pregnant!
Nooooo! dh was not impressed!

dec I've almost finished cv but now backtracking as to whether i want to send it out yet or wait till dd is 1!
I was always indecisive - now I'm so much worse!!

jobrum · 16/08/2015 22:14

Noooo, teething! We had two lovely weeks now more teeth are coming through. She's gotton into a right state this evening.

Pesto, that sounds like such a hard decision to make. I havent updated my cv for years, got into a bit of a job rut.

I got told off by a doctor who said that the reason lots of womens periods ednt return is because they are pregnant again. I have to go for a scan soon to see if the pain Im fetring is due to a cyst on my ovary or still tissue healing from the birth. Im not sure which I'd rather have!

Nearly crawling Bigfam, exciting!

jobrum · 16/08/2015 22:15

My typing is just getting worse! *pain Im feeling, not fetring!

bigfam · 17/08/2015 19:34

Oh dear god. So today we woke up at 5 (usual time) had a 10 minute nap at 12, then half an hour at 3. Not even an hour, all day. And she's still going strong now, I didn't know what overtired meant, now I do. She'll sleep worse tonight now.

jobrum · 17/08/2015 20:26

Poor you bigfam. You hust want them to understand "stop shouting and close your eyes"!

bigfam · 18/08/2015 10:20

How fantastic, no running water and the water company doesn't know how long til the issue is resolved. Not good with a baby who needs bottles Shock

Dec1314mummy · 19/08/2015 08:54

bigfam I hope you have the water back on! That's awful. It makes you realise how much we take having all the utilities just there doesn't it!
dd is getting so frustrated at not being able to move. She's pulling herself up on everything! Bless her! Ds has never been much of a napper, an average day would be an hour all day in 2 or 3 car naps! I'm really trying to get her to have longer ones!

September60b · 19/08/2015 11:12

Bigfam I hope you have water now and it wasn't off for too long!

Dec it's so frustrating when they don't sleep in the daytime when you know they really need to! Dd was up at 6.45am this morning (late for her!) and has only just gone down for a nap now. She's been grumpy for the last 2 hours though and I tried everything but she just wouldn't go to sleep!

She's on the verge of crawling-she can get up on all fours, move her knees forward and lift up her hands she just hasn't quite got everything coordinated enough to move anywhere! She's getting mightily frustrated though. I am starting to panic about having everything baby proofed as I don't think our house is really ready for a mobile baby just yet Confused.

Alyx80 · 19/08/2015 22:17

Q has finally rolled back to front! Lol, my lazy little lump!

September60b · 20/08/2015 10:27

Yay well done Q! There'll be no stopping him now Alyx Smile

bigfam · 21/08/2015 19:14

Nearly on the go

Jan 2015- what will they be doing next? Sitting, eating, crawling....
jobrum · 21/08/2015 21:36

Look at her go Bigfam! Did can now roll around the room, rolling perilously close to all kinds of pointy corners and hard surfaces and whatever we've left on the floor. I was only going to do minimal baby proofing as I know my parents didn't with me or my brother really but I just keep looking at her lovely head and thinking of the tears after a bump!

Alyx, did has only just got into rolling. She could do it a few months ago but it's like she didn't see the point so never bothered!

bigfam · 24/08/2015 10:17

This weather is so depressing Sad the kids can't even burn energy running around outside

September60b · 25/08/2015 14:37

How is everyone doing?

I am desperately trying to keep dd occupied while the weather is miserable outside. She's crawling now, albeit very slowly! She's face planted the floor a few times and managed to get a little bump from toppling over from a sitting position onto the laminate floor. She is using up lots more energy though and gets tired quite quickly. Her daytime naps are good but nighttime sleep isn't any better through it unfortunately Confused.

bigfam · 25/08/2015 15:42

Oh bless her Sept. Dd1 has to go for another scan on her foot in a week providing it doesnt get too painful before then, they think it hasn't healed properly or she's managed to damage it again Sad I took her to the fracture clinic today and the nurse said she was fine, just tissue damage, and that she was probably using it as an excuse to be lazy, I tried (in my politest voice) to explain dd1 is very active and doesn't like to laze about, that she's doing it to relieve the pain. Anyway another nurse rang back and said she was sorry for what had happened, and that she also felt something wasn't quite right as I explained it was fine up until 3 days ago, she wasn't weight bearing properly and screams when moving her foot upwards but it seems to be her ankle, she also has weird bruising on the outside of her foot with blood blisters.. I'm just hoping it's sorted before she's back at school.

Hope everyone is ok

September60b · 25/08/2015 20:35

I hope dd1 manages to get sorted before school bigfam. Must be so frustrating for her!

Dec1314mummy · 28/08/2015 06:27

bigfam poor dd. I hope she's feeling better.
sept go dd! Well dd is desperately trying to crawl! I think she thinks crawling is for babies and that she is far older as she is much more keen on walking. She can roll from one end of the room to the other and can stand holding on to objects and walk with your help (all be it very wobbly). She's even started pulling herself up! She hasn't got the balance at all yet though so I think she's probably a way off actually doing it! She does make me chuckle! She still has no teeth! She's little miss gummy! She's been showing signs of teething for months and her gums are bulging so I think she'll probably just get a load at once!
How has the weather been for everyone this week? It's been so unpredictable here!
