Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

WL she is coming up to 8.5 months. My worry is mainly that she needs to drink something Hmm

Stacks DD doesn't usually feed at night anymore Shock she had an awful cold a few weeks back and she wasn't really interested in feeding just before then and I realised she settled back down easily enough without a feed. So she feeds four times through the day (around 7am, 11am, 3pm and bedtime) and that's it. Confused

She doesn't sleep through. She sleeps well but wakes a couple of times a night.

I've just reached my limit I think. I'll preserve with tea and water and a bit of milk and see if I can swap her over. But I suppose if she doesn't want formula at all then I just won't give her any??

WLmum · 26/04/2015 09:39

nutella dd2 was not interested in milk at all, from any source after I stopped bfing her at about 9 months. As long as she's getting milk products in her diet there's no need to worry. Will she drink water?

MrsNutella · 26/04/2015 13:07

WL thank you! I posted on here because I really appreciate everyone's advice, help and experience Smile so it's good to hear about DD2.

She isn't terribly interested in any drinks. She will drink a little bit of water from a small cup but anything from a sippy cup or bottle gets a chew and no drinking. DS was the same at this age - he only drank Bmilk really. I'll offer her water more often and give her a bit more yoghurt Smile I'm sure she's healthy after all she produces plenty of wee and she is giant I've just got a bee in my bonnet about BF I think. Confused

halestone · 26/04/2015 18:39

NutellaThanks sorry your having abit of a rubbish time at the minute. My only advice to any woman about BF is do what is best for you. Thanks

Pretty awful afternoon here - dd2 fell off her scooter, banged her head and had a fit. Afternoon in a&e and obs on paeds ward. Thankfully she's fine and they don't think it was due to hitting her head but a reflexic anoxic seizure due to the shock stimulus. She was such a star and super brave.

halestone · 26/04/2015 22:15

WLThanks Oh no that sounds awful and very worrying. I hope Dd2 gets better soon. I also hope your ok heres some Wine to get over the shock.

Thanks hales. It was pretty horrid. Luckily we were in our road but awful that I ran in with dd2 then had to put her down and run back for T. Dd1 kept asking 'what was coming out of her mouth' and 'what if...' I had to wait for mil to arrive before I could head to the hospital. Luckily our NHS is amazing.

SpottyTeacakes · 27/04/2015 06:47

WL how frightening for you all! I know when I used to fit, the first time my parents were petrified, and it really effected my sisters (they were older than your dd1 though).

Hope she isn't feeling too awful, did you bite her tongue?

SpottyTeacakes · 27/04/2015 06:47

Shock Did SHE bite her tongue, obviously you didn't Blush

DeladionInch · 27/04/2015 06:54

Thanks wl

Barbeasty · 27/04/2015 07:56

Sorry Spotty, that made me laugh.

Hope you're all ok WL. Is she off school, or going in to tell the tale?

WLmum · 27/04/2015 14:19

Haha spotty! No she didn't. Merrily went into school this morning, keen to show and tell her hospital id bracelet but I've just been to collect following a call from the school that she was sleepy. She's fine now but I guess the school don't want to take any chances.

halestone · 27/04/2015 15:54

Spotty Grin

Oh poor DD2 WL, hope you've coddled her this afternoon. Glad she's okay.

WLmum · 27/04/2015 20:35

She's been absolutely fine. Singing at the top of her voice with the sole intention of annoying dd1!

halestone · 27/04/2015 21:20

I meant they're not there beforeBlush

H wanted to go round to my Dsis before. So my Sis took her and me and Dp went for a quick meal at the local pub. It was so lovely and unexpectedGrin

what is it about toddler boys and Thomas the fucking tank engine?!?!!

halestone · 28/04/2015 12:53

Hahaha Delad, that post has made me chuckle. I can sense an intense dislike of Thomas The Tank Engine from you.

DeladionInch · 28/04/2015 12:59

I can see the attraction. I don't understand the overriding obsession. He hasn't watched anything else for 3whole days?!?!

MrsNutella · 28/04/2015 15:12

Sorry Delad I'm not sure they are always gender specific, DS lovesSophia the first when it . When I get

MrsNutella · 28/04/2015 15:14

Thanks for your help with my last post DD Confused

When I get really fed up of a programme I try and find something totally new for DS. It works as long as I pick something that I know will interest him. (Like Bob the builder or fireman Sam Hmm)

utopian99 · 28/04/2015 17:25

I feel your pain delad. We have a very strict limit on the dreaded 'oo tain' here or I'll lose my marbles utterly.
I said earlier O has taken to breastfeeding his bear. And today a rubber duck, who was then shushed gently and put to bed..

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 28/04/2015 20:21

J doesn't really like Thomas. The ones he likes are mostly okay but I cannot stand paw patrol (soppy bullshit) and blaze (worst.programme.ever)!

halestone · 28/04/2015 20:25

haha FrazzleD Heidi loves Blaze and Wallykazam. TBH i love Bob Goblin on WallykazamGrin

Nooow invaders, nooow Dragons, noooow trolls! Ha I love his brummie accent.

I don't like anything that's all "I love you, you love me, let's be lovely people and help and love everyone" Waaaay too soppy for an old cynic like me Grin
