Barbeasty · 13/07/2015 08:27

I think DH must be reading this thread..... he sent A off to MIL in pants this morning!

Hope you got back to sleep Frazzled.

DD is beyond excited because she's having packed lunches this week- it's the only way I could think of to use up the left over party food- I have a freezer drawer full of sandwiches!

There are still letters which A doesn't pronounce properly, including qu. There was a full in row yesterday between him and DH about what ducks say. A starts it with F. All I could hear was him shouting fu* fu fu*!! I couldn't breath I was laughing so hard Grin Not one to try in public though....

utopian99 · 13/07/2015 10:10

Thanks for the responses everyone. It might be picking up on stress - I don't really mind the faff as it's easy to manage (and not my parents, so maybe less personal.) O loves fil so nothing there; although sometimes maybe they crowd him a bit through their own excitement which might make him more tense. It's a bit of a mystery though, and we're supposed to be on holiday for a week with them in august! ShockConfused

re those of you with success on potty training Hurrah! We're in a strange place where O wants to bin nappies but only use the potty standing up now which is obviously a disaster. Think I'll need to ask dh to only pee sitting down for a while.. Hmm

DeladionInch · 13/07/2015 14:54

Beasty do Not Ask R what the sticky out thing on the face of an elephant is let's just say there's an unfortunate juxtaposition of k and t sounds

SpottyTeacakes · 13/07/2015 14:56

Ds calls my nephew cocks as he can't say his name.

SpottyTeacakes · 13/07/2015 14:58

I just told ds not to do something. He did it anyway then said 'haaahaaa'

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 13/07/2015 19:21

We did not go back to sleep Angry I've just worked a full days work on 2 hours sleep and J stayed up from 2:30am-7:15pm.

He was like the Duracell bunny!

utopian99 · 13/07/2015 19:43

I told A off for pulling O's hair this afternoon and he laughed with pure joy, spotty.. Hmm

we've been learning about telling the time delad, today was 'two cocks', followed a few hours later by 'sick cock'. ShockBlush

WLmum · 13/07/2015 22:49

Bless you frazzled that's tough.

WLmum · 14/07/2015 22:16

Had a lovely day - took dm and dmil to a spa for the day (total bargain deal) then had a family roast dinner as rare occaision that dh and I were here at the same time!
T was sad that I was going out without her so I told her to ask dh to take her out for a hot chocolate and she said 'will daddy have a skinny caramel latte with an extra shot?'!! Me thinks it's not the first time they have been to that particular establishment!

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 14/07/2015 23:30

Haha WL, she's destined for an early job as a barista!

Glad you had a good day. How is your DM?

halestone · 15/07/2015 09:29

WL, that sounds like the perfect day, i'm glad you all enjoyed it.

Frazzled, i hope you got a decent sleep last night.

I was sat in A+E till 4am this morning with my nan. She got kept in whilst awaiting a surgical review so we're not sure whats wrong yet. I was also waiting for another phonecall from my other nan about my auntie as the pallitive care team have now said they believe her death will be very soon. Luckily Dp is off work so he can stay with H while i just drive were i'm needed.

Frazzled that sounds awful! Hope you've caught up some sleep!

wl Grin funny that she knows his drink. I'm not sure DS pays enough attention to what I'm ordering, as long as he gets hot milk and a biscuit he is happy.

hales Thanks hope things are ok. That all sounds very tough! Sounds like you're being an amazing support to a lot of people.

We are on "holiday" with the PIL. It is not something I will be repeating in the next 3-5 years.

SpottyTeacakes · 15/07/2015 13:26

Hales hope you're okThanks

WL that's very funny Grin

Ds is crying because he misses the moon and wants to go there Confused

WLmum · 15/07/2015 18:29

hales Flowers. Bless you and all your family.

Barbeasty · 15/07/2015 22:17

Nutella by 3-5 years do you mean never again?!

Hales look after yourself too.

WL mine try to drag me to the pub (a café bar) which we pass on the way back from school every night. I've had to stop taking money with me! A likes his chinos (chocolate babychinos with lots of marsallows).

I tried to order my shopping online on Monday, but the website had a major malfunction and I had to use their call centre who put my order through. I asked for delivery tomorrow and didn't check the email confirmation for the date. When it arrived this evening I was in my pyjamas and A was standing at the top of the stairs, pyjamas round his ankles!!

It seems A has taken to kicking people at nursery, although I was only told about today in passing.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/07/2015 11:59

I got dd's letter from the school nurse today re her height and weight. They've put her on 79th percentile for both but she's actually 25th for height and 9th for weight, should I bother telling them?

Barbeasty · 16/07/2015 15:36

I might be tempted on the basis that if they've got hers so far out then what random results have they got for other people. And if things like the red books charts are influenced by this data.....

But then I probably wouldn't get around to telling them!

SpottyTeacakes · 16/07/2015 15:46

I phoned them and left a message with one of them Smile ds is so awful for running off when I get dd off the bus he ran straight down the road and across it to our house Angry I'm so cross I'm putting reins on him until I can trust him not to run. Luckily we are rural and it's a quiet road where everyone knows to watch out for my unruly ds Blush

halestone · 16/07/2015 23:25

Thanks for everyones nice messages. My nan is out of hospital i haven't spoken to her this evening as i was in work so i am unsure what was wrong with her. And my Aunty is still hanging in there although she is very weak now. The hospice Dr is amazed as its about 4 weeks since she has last eaten and even her drinks are spat out she just runs it round her mouth for flavour.

Spotty what did the school say i would of mentioned it too as that is quite a huge discrepancy.

Beasty, hopefully its just a stage.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 16/07/2015 23:48

I'm really sorry you're all having a tough time Hales, glad your nan is out of hospital though Flowers

WLmum · 17/07/2015 10:22

spotty I would say for sure - I think that's terrible - if they've mixed up results they could be missing a child that needs some extra attention.

MrsNutella · 17/07/2015 11:12

hales glad your Nan is out of hospital and I hope she is much better. Thanks For you and your family.

beasty DH and I were supposed to be able to relax... I knew it was unlikely but I had hoped anyway. It was hard but not awful. Yes a repeat is unlikely. Unless DH takes them on his own with PIL.

DeladionInch · 17/07/2015 13:16
Brew
WLmum · 17/07/2015 16:32

SpottyTeacakes · 17/07/2015 18:08

Hales Thanks

WL that's pretty bloody funny Grin

Took the dc to an ice cream parlour after school today they're both exhausted. Roll on summer holidays!
