nutella that is adorable about you rescuing your do from nightmares.
Glad ds was doing better. Fx!

SpottyTeacakes · 28/05/2015 17:53

Finally got my insulin pump connected!

SpottyTeacakes · 28/05/2015 19:23

My mum had the dc this afternoon and let ds nap! Nutella I know you'll feel my pain!

WLmum · 28/05/2015 19:52

Hoorah and boo spotty!
For the last 2 nights T has been insistent on sleeping on the floor in her room under a blanket as 'she's having a sleepover'!

Barbeasty · 28/05/2015 19:53

Yay Spotty, boo Spotty!

I bought a pizza at lunch time, because the DC were at holiday club today and last time they were really hungry in the evening. As the train pulled out of the platform I realised it was still at my desk! I'd even tried to fit it in my rucksack, and failed, as I packed up and still left it behind. I emailed a colleague and someone from my team is having it for tea tonight, because I'm not back in until Monday.

Both DC are over tired, and I've got a sore throat and start of a cold just in time for camping this weekend.

Barbeasty · 28/05/2015 19:55

Bless WL. We had to take the under - bed drawer out of the DC's room when they shared, because of 2 nights where they slept in it. It looked cute but they didn't sleep well.

SpottyTeacakes · 28/05/2015 19:59

Oh no beasty I'd be really upset!

WL that's really sweet Smile

MrsNutella · 28/05/2015 20:24

beasty that is annoying about the pizza! But it must have looked funny sitting on your desk Grin

WL that is cute!

spotty I do feel your pain! DS fell asleep this afternoon at nursery during afternoon tea.

I have no idea what to do with him. If he naps he sleeps badly at night and is awful the next day. If he doesn't nap he is overtired and falls asleep anyway the next day Confused
He is hopefully almost asleep..... That or he is busy removing his nappy so that he can pick some poo out of his bottom Confused

He went back up to bed at 9pm. I had to ask DH to come up and take over sitting by his door duty because I have a horrible cough. Thanks to DD. not surprising really. I am knackered since my average sleep lately is between 4-6 hours I think...

We have a stairgate to put up on his room but I'm not sure it is going to solve our problem. We are worried he will wake DD Sad

WLmum · 29/05/2015 15:51

Oh nutella that level of sleep is so awful. Ime dropping the naps to improve the night sleep takes some time to level out. It's such a hard time! Poor you. Stay strong, one day a full nights sleep will be yours!

DeladionInch · 29/05/2015 15:56

Face pack on, eyebrows waxed, outfit chosen...

WLmum · 29/05/2015 20:30

Delad, i hope tomorrow is perfect for you, have funThanks

Beasty the pizza story made me smile, but the idea of your two sleeping in the bed drawers made me giggleGrin

NutellaThanks Wine and chocolate for you, it is a crappy stage when they're dropping their naps.

Good luck Delad, hope you have a lovely day.

DS had a 40 minute nap today, he's still up watching alice in wonderland Hmm

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 29/05/2015 23:43

Ugh I'm losing all patience now.

He's jumping on the bed and just gave me a dead arm landing his knee on it. FFS.

Not boding well for a week in a caravan in Northumberland with him starting tomorrow!

WLmum · 30/05/2015 07:39

Delad congratulations again! Love the pics, thank you for sharing. Thanks

Anyone have any tips/advice/ buyers for a toddler that is having some sleep issues??
we have decided that dropping the nap is pointless. DS was exhausted and plainly needed the nap still. But he is going to bed late every night (between 8:45 and about 9:30 pm). He also gets out of his bed at night to come and sleep with me. I am too tired to fight him back into his bed at the moment.

I would like to sort out bedtime so that I get some evening back. When we tried dropping the nap he was exhausted and overtired and he never seemed to catch up on his sleep.
DD is waking several times a night but not doing her hour awake at the moment. I have been hiding out in the spare room because I have had such a rotten cough.

I also need a kick up the arse to go to bed the second DS is asleep so that I can rest properly Confused

WLmum · 01/06/2015 10:59

Oh nutella that is so tough. What about if you strictly limit his nap - maybe 30 mins? Gives him enough to get through the day but hopefully still tired enough to go to bed at a reasonable time. I did that with my big 2 successfully.
With regards to getting up at night - my big 2 did this and I held out and held out hoping that there was a specific reason or that it would pass, until I just couldn't take it anymore and tough love prevailed. It was of course a few dreadfully disturbed nights but after that we were all much more rested and they stopped being so easily disturbed.
Poor you - I know how awful and so hard to know what to do for the best.
