Thanks BPLP. Cant imagine how hard that aspect of your job must be.

Hope things settle down Stunt.

Elizadoesdolittle · 03/03/2015 23:05

DH came home moaning about his really shit day. Your post bplp really puts things into perspective. hugs x

NoisyLittleLion · 04/03/2015 04:10

tentatively

I am rubbish at keeping up with you all Shock

I can't stand honey. I swear by Manuka honey for M. He often has some honey in his porridge, I swap this to Manuka when he is suffering with a cold or cough and it seems to help him recover quicker. DH has been feeling lousy for the past few days, I might suggest he tries some.

Stunt I hope your back eases off and baby stays put
bplp that sound incredibly tough. I am finding work difficult at the moment as dealing with some child protection issues, which I obviously can't discuss, that are breaking my heart whilst simultaneously making me thankful for everything I have.

pass eek house viewings are exciting. Have you viewed any properties yet?

We had a free fire safety check, from the local firefighters, last night. It has alerted me to some risks that I had considered before which include plug in air fresheners as a fire risk. They were very thorough and gave us pointers that were specific to our house, which was both reassuring and frightening in equal measure.
Anyone can request a free fire safety check from your local fire station, I'd urge everyone to request one.

Zamboni · 04/03/2015 06:51

That's a good reminder Noisy - plus the added bonus here of fireman for fireman Sam obsessed DC!

Pass, are you better now? FX for house sale.

Big hugs to those finding work difficult one way or another Thanks

S has the 2.5 year check this morning. We have completed a questionnaire so am expecting it to be brief I guess, although DH will be doing as I am at work.

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/03/2015 19:15

I ordered 400g of aptamil pepti for £17 (yikes) but they sent me 800g. Winner.

Elizadoesdolittle · 05/03/2015 10:13

Well it may have been a bargain but will he drink it. Will he heck. Grrr.

StuntNun · 05/03/2015 10:29

Did someone suggest vanilla essence to help the flavour of the milk? I seem to dimly recall something like that from ages ago.

Ifyourawizardwhydouwearglasses · 05/03/2015 11:36

Hallo! Can I join please? DS is technically October 2012 but are we sticklers for the rules?? Also have a 7 month old DD :)

Hi wizard

I'll post on FB later but has anyone ever taken their toddlers to a music festival? I've just got tickets for the Aviemore Stopover festival in July and added an 'under 5' ticket to my basket just in case cause it was free. Weekend camping. Any tips greatly appreciated!

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/03/2015 11:08

Hi wizard. No sticklers here. Welcome.

isles I haven't but i know lots of people who have. completely useless.

Spring has sprung here. I have been feeding just woken up bumble bees and DD1 is running around in the garden in a t-shirt (she barely feels the cold). Every spare moment today when we have not been at the shops or eating has been outside, mainly on the bikes. LO is unfazed by the fall she had from hers a couple of weeks ago.

Zamboni · 07/03/2015 19:20

Gorgeous day here too, outside for much of it in just a tshirt. Big spring clean inc washing curtains and net curtains done, shopping delivered and a day with some batch cooking (inc Luis' parsnip muffins) and a picnic while DH plays hockey planned for tomorrow.

Welcome back pennie!

Dreich day here. Lovely long lie which was much needed by all of the family followed by a house viewing then lunch. Afternoon was just pottering around followed by a roast dinner which sadly reduced p to tears as it wasn't what she had in mind "there int not anyfin for me to eeeeeeeeet"

She is now in bed mostly quiet but occasionally coming out with "mummy daddy come back! I can't see you!" And "I miss you you mummy" Sad

Lovely sunny day here too. I'm currently car less so we were limited to what we could do. It was park, macdonalds, different park with friends and then I took girls swimming with friends while DH had Arthur and made a roast. Girls tucked up in bed and DH in pub so I'm now watching the voice without him moaning all through it about how shit it is I know.

pennie welcome home. Hope things settle down for you.

pass Bless little P. Hope she found something edible. Grin

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 08/03/2015 19:39

Welcome home pennie

pass :o

Today was non stop sunny and the girls asked for a BBQ. So they got one. We even ate outside it was quite warm in the sun. They played out from 9-1 then napped and were outside again from 4-nightfall. I really hope they sleep.

I love spring.

Helluva week ahead I have a course on four days in a town 20km away plus need to finish my essay. Almost done.

Elizadoesdolittle · 08/03/2015 22:26

Another lovely day in the sun. As I'm currently car less we ventured out on the bus. Went to a lovely house and gardens nr by and had a picnic by the river.

I've been getting annoyed about my house and how nothing is getting done. We are due prices back next week from builders so I'm going to put in an action plan. Hopefully will help me focus on what needs to be done and actually do something as opposed to just getting arsey about the fact nothing has been done.

Lily311 · 09/03/2015 10:39

Hello Quiche,

i have been following but have had no chance and energy to reply. Had a friend over from the UK and another one is coming this weekend. I still have assignments to write and I am tired most of of the time.

O is good, she is funny and witty. She refuses point blank potty training which suits me just fine right now. She is very much into horses, every moment she wants to do something with horses. Any other quiche toddlers obsessed with something?

Her sleep is also pants. No idea why. She goes to bed on time but wakes at least 3 times overnight and only wants a kiss than goes back to sleep. It's quite cute but means that I don't get a full night sleep :(.

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 09/03/2015 11:42

Hey lily LO is also obsessed with horses. We have two horse TV channels here - one which is for horse racing only (she's not interested in that) and one which is everything else horsey - so competitions, documentaries etc etc. If we let her she would watch it non-stop. She went on a pony ride in October and hasn't stopped talking about horses since.

She is also going through a weird sleep pattern. Not sure what is up, but no sign of those four back teeth yet. She settles again quickly - DH goes in with DD1 and she comes in with me - but I can't co-sleep (hence the years of insomnia until DD1 finally went to her own bed)so it means that once she is with me I don't sleep much any more. It is happeneding about one night in two and has been going on for about two weeks. It is very dull.

StuntNun · 09/03/2015 18:56

We're having sleep issues here, last night was the only decent night in ages as J was only up once.

YellowWellies · 09/03/2015 20:25

We had a glitch in sleep when we did a dairy trial a fortnight ago - could it be too much dairy Stunt? Sadly it only took 6 digestives and 3 muffins over a fortnight for Jonas' symptoms to return so we've been told back to dairy free for another 6 months Sad
