Not sure about the snogging - shall check and see.

We are currently on the spare bed as my parents are staying and we have given them our bed. My goodness gracious the spare bed is uncomfortable! I absolutely ache this morning. My folks came down The stairs yesterday full of joy over the wonderful sleep they had (neither are good sleepers) which I was pleased and well jel about. They are away home today tbough so back to our bed tonight.

We are getting braver with trips out after starting toilet training. We have been eating out and we managed ikea yesterday with is a two hour round trip. Unfortunately pooing is still causing us a major problem. I think the last poo she managed was on Tuesday. I might go on the thread to ask for advice as I am worried I am causing issues for her.

How have our quiche weekends been this far?

We went to see the animatronic dinosaurs at Edinburgh zoo today. And after DH and I bet he'd be crapping himself at coming face to face with moving, roaring dinosaurs - he proved us wrong and loved them! Yet show him a dyson hand drier and he is a quivering mess Grin .

Hand dryers are a nightmare. They never used to be so loud!

Dinosaurs sound fun. E's quite into dinosaurs at the moment and DD1 is learning about them at school so we've watched a lot of Andys dinosaur adventures.

Today we went to a fun day in a local park. Piccies on fb. We were out for 5 hrs and E didn't have any accidents. I am amazed. It's only day 2 of training and I was preparing for it to be hidious. I am under no illusions that she's cracked it but it gives me the confidence to know she is ready for it. Poos are v tricky pass. Damn things.

Hand dryers induce meltdowns here too!

Do you really need your left arm? Can it be chopped off in order to make snogging easier? I know I would ;). I can't advise you, i don't even know what bedsharing Is anymore.

O refuses to potty train. Suits me well. I want my mum to do it. I think that is the best plan ever.

Hi Pennie.

Lily S is also refusing at the moment. Will do the odd morning here and there, the odd wee/poo on the potty, but gets tired and asks for a nappy on.

Left arm issues - arm sort of tucked up, hand on cheek maybe? Or just flip him onto his back and straddle him Grin

Passmethecrisps · 20/07/2015 22:27

Well, I had some snaction but my arm was not involved so I still cannot help. Soz. I do have an issue with what to do with my right arm when I sleep mind you. I sleep on my right and I find my arm aches like a bastard after just a wee while meaning I am tossing and turning. Ah well.

P has regressed a bit for toilet use I think. She tends to wait until wee is actually coming out then it is panic stations. I know she is choosing this as when out and about she can preempt perfectly well.

i suspect being a big girl in pants is not as much fun as she hoped and is finding the extra responsibility a bit annoying. She begged to be allowed to wear a nappy for a while this morning.

I'm in for a reunion. I think we need it. Who did we leave the clarion with?

Report
YellowWellies · 22/07/2015 15:31

I'd love a reunion too. Jonas will definitely still be in nappies I reckon. He's telling me every time he goes now (and not just after the fact!) but has no desire to use the potty or loo. I'm also not convinced he would be able to hold it in but I'm possibly not giving him enough credit. I'm back at work in November so figure as long as he's done by then, right? Hmm

Oh em geee! I thought you'd all gone for good, and then I check on a whim and look what happened!

Eliza how on earth is that little dude SIX MONTHS OLD?? Must have been living in a time warp as am fairly sure I have not lived all 6 of those months.

Yay for nights out and nocturnal snogs. Have had neither for a while here Blush

Grace - I hope you're having a bucketload of fun with your girlies. How long do you have them for?

Hand driers are the pits - "noisy ones mummy"

House move went smoothly, and we're just about unpacked - love the surroundings, and watching the animals and the river and smelling the sea air. Cat is prowling though and properly hating being cooped up for the requisite fortnight.

You're telling me bplp. The year is just disappearing.

Had a very successful day with potty training. On 3 seperate occasions she did poos on the toilet. We've had such a busy day. Cinema in the morning, lunch at bella italia, hour car trip to friends house, park, dinner at friends followed by hour car journey home (well longer due to an incident on m25) and she had 1 accident. And that was whilst she was in the toilet with DD1 and I didn't know she was there. For day 5 the girl done good.

Going to treat her to a micro scooter as silly mummy left her scooter on the side of the road and drove off Blush At least it wasn't a child I suppose. Am convinced i'll leave DS somewhere as he's so quiet. He did get left in the car for 15 mins when we went to the in laws. I thought DH got him out and he thought I had him. Hmm It wasn't hot weather thank goodness.

Wine would be more appropriate here at the mo, Pass. Miss F is in full on happy-slappy mood. And am on nights again tonight.

Got a new phone and couldn't log onto mumsnet app for some reason. Anyway password reset and here I am.

Lost it a bit spectacuarly with DD1 today. Whilst sobbing she said she would sing me a song after dinner to help calm me down. They know how to pull on those guilt strings don't they!

Wine

Don't they just!

I have been a bit snippy with p recently. The awful weather here means it is hard to get out the house for long and I find her incessant talking and contradictions wearing.

Pissing at you would be impressive!

We were out shopping just a while ago and I grabbed p a load of nice craft stuff - goggly eyes and sequins - she then disgraced herself by grabbing a massive cup with a twisty straw and sucking on the straw. I had to buy it then so all the craft stuff went back. Even the goggly eyes which frankly I wanted more then her

Mind you - I then made her a slushy specially for it which she is now drinking quite happily while watching my little pony. I think be craft bits are long forgotten!

Grin at pissing at you!

Have had a better couple of days. I am finding living in a building site over school holidays quite stressful. off to camber sands on Saturday for a week. While it's not my ideal holiday it can't come soon enough.

Talking of googly eyes, we made flowerpot people at my mums allotment today. Girls really enjoyed it.
