Evening everyone :)

hey pennie :) glad you found potty training easy, sounds like it went really well for you!

sounds fab zamboni make the most of it

not sure what we're up to this weekend - tomorrow will mostly be errands and sorting with perhaps a trip to the park thrown in for good measure. Maybe we'll try some baking, though generally that means I bake and he loses interest in about 10 seconds flat! Sunday we'll see what the weather is doing and go from there. We took E to the seaside on Weds and i'm still exhausted from that I think!

Hello! J kicked me in the tummy today so I'm laid up in bed feeling very sore and sorry for myself on a lovely sunny day. Grumph.

Pikz · 20/04/2015 07:01

StuntNun · 20/04/2015 09:11

More like BrewBrewBrew after last night Eliza.

Well today my washing machine blew up. Literally. Smoke was coming out of it. Had to phone my fil and ask him to help me get it out of the house. Was quite scary at one point as I couldn't figure out where the smoke was coming from straight away so I was almost relived it was just the washing machine. And my intention was to put a wash on and then go out but in true me fashion I ended up faffing and thank goodness I did as I dread to think what would have happened if I did. I had tons of washing lined up to do today as it was perfect drying weather. My mil ended up doing it all for me. Bless them.

On the plus side DS had his hip scan today and all fine. I've been referred re my hernia to see if I require surgery.

StuntNun · 21/04/2015 07:12

Scary stuff Eliza, did the smoke alarm go off or did you see the smoke first?

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/04/2015 13:42

Nope, I saw the smoke. Smoke alarm not working but that's another story in itself. Basically my whole house is an electrical fire hazard nightmare but we are having rewiring, new central heating and a big extension starting in a couple of weeks. Just got to hold on till then. Will be hell for 3 months but so worth it (I hope). I'm going to have a huge fancy open plan kitchen living area and biofolds doors all along the back.

YellowWellies · 21/04/2015 21:39

Get a couple of battery operated smoke detectors until the renovations are done - for £20 it'd be great peace of mind xxx

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/04/2015 22:09

Thanks yw. You are right and a complete oversight on our part. DH has ordered a couple.

YellowWellies · 22/04/2015 09:04

I say this as someone who had the batteries to ours out, and sat on the sideboard waiting to be changed for a fortnight. Its easily done! Blush

StuntNun · 22/04/2015 17:25

DS4 has puked on the sling, on the baby swing and in his cot today. He certainly knows how to get me to carry him around all the time. Hmm I'm tempted to give him some gaviscon to see if it makes any difference.

YellowWellies · 22/04/2015 22:29

Stunt I would try it. Are you still df - do you still reckon its a reaction?

StuntNun · 23/04/2015 10:18

I did a challenge ten days ago YW but I've been df since then. At the moment I would rather eat a restricted diet than trigger a few days and nights of problems with DS4. I think once he gets past the six week sleep regression that will be the time to try again.

YellowWellies · 23/04/2015 22:23

Ahhh so another few weeks til your milk is clear. Good luck. He is so lovely Smile

StuntNun · 24/04/2015 13:39

Unfortunately or fortunately, I'm not quite sure, DS4's sleep has been steadily improving from worst after the dairy challenge to him only waking up once last night. He's had his second illicit dose of gaviscon today which has so far knocked the vomming on its head but he's still silent refluxing into his mouth. And now, far too late for J, I find out that reflux babies often cry in their carseat because it scrunched their tummies up. So that's why J used to scream and scream in the car. But at least I know not to leave DS4 in the carseat any longer than necessary.

YellowWellies · 24/04/2015 16:44

Stunt Lil has common or garden reflux and CMPI. Jonas had both too. Or there's another food they both react to which I haven't identified.

Pikz · 24/04/2015 22:31

Poor babas Hmm

TheRealGracePoole · 25/04/2015 07:32

How are you pikz?

Pikz · 25/04/2015 08:15

Sore and grumpy Hmm not the best

How are you?

Zamboni · 25/04/2015 10:10

Thanks Hope you are better soon Pikz Thanks

Elizadoesdolittle · 25/04/2015 15:38

oh dear pikz Wine

I'm off to one of my favourite bars tonight under the arches of waterloo. They do the most delicious pomegranate martinis. yum. Wonder how many I can have whilst still bf Confused

Zamboni · 25/04/2015 18:38

Sounds great Eliza. Am putting the DC to bed and then a movie of my choosing (yet to be decided which will be a feat in itself) as DH is taking DSD out. I didn't even have the grace to look mildly disappointed when he asked if I would mind being alone for the evening!

BigPigLittlePig · 25/04/2015 20:11

We are the house of ill. Dsd ill. F teething. Mummy knackered. Daddys ok though! We have an evening in with a jigsaw puzzle and trashy tv. I've said it before - rock and roll Grin

StuntNun · 26/04/2015 15:11

DS4 has a dire rear. You can hear him pooing from a hundred yards away! It's quite hilarious.
