Oh no stunt that does not sound like a barrel of laughs.

StuntNun · 07/04/2015 21:20

J has been moved into DS2's room so hopefully they will keep each other company at night.

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/04/2015 22:30

oh dear stunt. I hope that helps.

Today was a better day. Think girls just needed some home time. We've been out loads. Today we had friends over and spent the whole day in the garden in the sun, bliss. Looks like our building work could be starting in May so better make the most of the garden whilst I can.

Elizadoesdolittle · 08/04/2015 22:03

Just realised that Mark Rylance narrates Bing. How bizarre.

Elizadoesdolittle · 08/04/2015 22:03

How did the room share go stunt?

Passmethecrisps · 08/04/2015 22:07

Flop is my parenting mentor!

We have returned from our little jaunt to the inlaws. Aside from some minor shizzle (dummy obsession = everyone, mil refusing to wear a seat belt in the back of the car "well, if I killed the driver it would be accidental", mega-vom from p randomly when we first arrivesd, and fishing a boiled sweet out of p's mouth given to her by mil - was i over protective? It was one of those smallish ones you get after a meal in some places) there was a huge amount of live and cuddles and seaside fun.

P almost ended mil by announcing "I not want to go home. I want to stay here with joooooooooooo"

Yay hello pass. I was starting to think it was just me hanging around. Sounds like you had a great time mini incidents aside.

YellowWellies · 08/04/2015 22:53

Yes having Bing Bunny's long suffering carer (how narcissistic is that rabbit!?) suddenly becoming Thomas Cromwell in Wolf Hall thoroughly messed with my baby wrecked brain! Still he's got a GORGEOUS voice.

StuntNun · 09/04/2015 08:38

Two nights in the same room and they're thick as thieves Eliza. DS2 gets scared by himself (he shared with DS1 until we moved here in November 2013) and J still tends to wake up in the night so hopefully they'll be reassured by having someone else in the same room.

I am oblivious to Bing. Do I need to check it out.

I am currently in bed eating chocolates and drinking tea while DH does all the hard work on his last day of paternity leave. Back to porridge tomorrow.

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 09/04/2015 10:51

pass I don't allow either of mine to have boiled sweets. They get slippery and so easy to accidentally swallow. And I am generally very relaxed about that kind of thing compared to a lot of people.

Elizadoesdolittle · 09/04/2015 19:57

That's good stunt. And stay oblivious to bing.

Had a lovely day at the park with a friend and her boy. The kids were so so good and I told them in the car on the way to a mini playdate with my sister and couple of others. Well DD1 was then horrendously behaved. Obviously all a bit much but she ended up being put to bed with me being cross with her. She always always plays up at my sister's. I do feel for her in a way as my sister is quite ott about things, her house, her pfb and this must transfer to DD1. I end up telling her off there more than I would do anywhere else as I know her behaviour puts my sister on edge which makes me more on edge. It's got slightly better since my sis had her daughter but she's only 20 months old so not quite at that answering back misbehaving stage. I look forward to when she is Grin

S went to sleep without meemees (dummies) for the first time. He normally has around 12 at a time but has been biting holes in them and we were down to the last couple, so he inspected them all, agreed they were broken, put them in the bin and went to sleep just by the power of me singing speed bonnie boat and DH having run him around a lot at the park today. But the credit's all mine Shock GrinShockGrinShockGrin

Passmethecrisps · 09/04/2015 20:40

zamboni that gives me hope!! P is down to her last three and has been for months. I have absolutely insisted that these ones will not be replaced. About three weeks ago DH fprgot to grab a meemee for nursery so she slept without it. There was "a bit of crying" but she managed it and slept as long as normal after a wee bit of extra attention from the staff.

I might yet get rid of the fear that I will be coaching her to spit out the meemee for her graduation pictures!

waves a little wave

hi quiche :)

Elizadoesdolittle · 09/04/2015 21:20

I've decided to mark today down as a day of 2 halves. The first part (which on paper should have been the more stressful) was fab. I have to somehow work on the situation with DD1 and my Sis without actually turning it into a big deal. I need to cut DD1 some slack and remember she is only 5 and not quite able to reach up to my DSIS expectations of what a 5 yr old can and cannot do. My DN adores DD1 which helps. Anyhoo just wanted to get that down to help clear my mind.

Great news on the dummies zamboni.

YellowWellies · 09/04/2015 22:16

We had a lovely day at the local deer centre / wildlife park. Jonas fell in love with the wildcats and a fox called Ginge. Oh and DD is the biggest, fattest trougher - she has been on solids for a fortnight and is an utter eating machine. Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 09/04/2015 23:53

Hiya kyz.

Hiya all in fact. Great news re: bedtime successes. Am off for my v own bedtime success now (ever the optimist - not sure Freya got the memo) Grin

Kyz · 10/04/2015 20:54

Evening quiche :)

Great to read of dummy ditching success! I said to E, do you want to give your bindi (that's what he calls them, honestly have no idea why!) to the new baby when he comes - he looked at me sternly and said no, mine bindi's mummy, mine bindi's. So I guess that idea is out!

hope you can do something to help the situation then eliza and hope tomorrow is a good day in full :)

YW sounds like a lovely day :) We took e to a lovely massive family park place, it's not too far from us and it has woodland trails and allsorts - he had a lovely time, and has far more stamina than me at the minute, it seemed like such hard work to do so much walking Blush

TheRealGracePoole · 10/04/2015 21:59

Think might avoid play parks for the rest of the summer. This is not the year for them. I have just had a horrible afternoon.

We arranged to meet 2 other mums and their kids at a local, v nice, play park for a picnic and play.

i spent the whole time chasing round after O making sure he didn't run in front of the massive heavy flying saucer style swing, usually weighed down and flying high with about three kids in. While the other two mums chatted and laughed and enjoyed themselves.

Or I was trailing him round the perimeter where he was trying to escape out of the playpark into the carpark.

As well as the fact it was super busy.

I just felt really left out. I actually feel a bit like a teenager. Sad

Passmethecrisps · 10/04/2015 22:10

Wine? Sounds very hard work grace

How you doing kyz? How long till mini mini kyz is due?

TheRealGracePoole · 11/04/2015 08:52

So one of the mums sent me a msg last night saying she felt bad because she didn't give me a hand. This actually made me feel better. Or like I wasn't being hypersensitive.

Despite this. Might give parks with friends a miss this summer and just do them on my own.

TheRealGracePoole · 11/04/2015 20:54

By far a nicer day today. hope good Saturdays had by all.

Passmethecrisps · 11/04/2015 21:03

Kisses kisses

Safari park again. On the rain. Thank goodness for season tickets

Then pre-move sorting. I officially hate pre-move sorting.
