That sounds tough tarka. I hope the blood sugars sort themselves out soon and you can relax a bit. How are your DD and A? Good luck with TTC and hope you get your BFP soon.

N is a bit of a dream really, though he sometimes wakes around 4am. DD I am still finding so so hard though. She seemed to be a bit more relaxed at school, but that just means she has stopped listening to the teacher 'because she wants to be cheeky and have a laugh'. Hmm. At home she is either throwing stuff everywhere or on top of me wanting a hug. Or screaming. Plenty of that.

I really don't know if she is just bored or if there is an anxiety problem or ASD going on and there aren't really any options for assessment in either case here.

Before half term her teachers called me in because she had been throwing any work she didn't think was perfect in the bin without them noticing.

X post book. Glad you are still here!

P and peppa pig sounds amazing. I think P sounds great. N often has two naps at the moment too. He also stopped saying his two words but has now suddenly acquired a few more and is quite vocal again. Sounds like she is preparing for a wonder week leap.

FelixFelix · 03/05/2015 13:09

Hello, I'm still here as usual Grin I just don't have anything interesting to say either. I often wonder about those who used to post loads and just disappeared! I'd love everyone to come back Smile

Mother Nature has answered my prayers and it's stopped raining and brightened up today. We are going out to watch the Tour de Yorkshire and I'm dead excited. S will be in the ergo (which she usually hates) but we can't take the pram because it will be too busy. Wish us luck!

TarkaTheOtter · 03/05/2015 14:44

Oh altered that sounds hard going with your dd. What's your gut feeling?
I'm finding dd really tough work at the moment and I'm pretty sure she bored at home with me. She is ridiculously cheeky and obnoxious all the time. Still has reasonably frequent poo accidents too despite being out of nappies for a year. She has a preschool place from September which should help (I hope). I think the problem is that most children her age are at preschool or nursery so she's not got any friends her own age.

alteredimages · 04/05/2015 00:45

I think she is bored too tarka and also anxious/a perfectionist. She seems to have a very similar personality to me so I think she will probably find primary school a bit hard going. I am not sure how to deal with her destroying her work at school other than to reassure her, but she gets so frustrated with herself and when FIL shouts at her for small mistakes it makes me feel really sad for her.

She is on school holidays at the moment which is cranking up the tension. We have been baking almost every day as it is too hot to go out and she has decided that she is an 'expert at making'. Smile. It isn't helping my waistline though!

Just seen there's a thread for due in January 2016! Shock Now that makes me feel weird Grin

TobyLerone · 04/05/2015 21:59

I miss being pregnant :( although not the bit this time 2 years ago.

FelixFelix · 05/05/2015 08:17

I hated every second of it! It's actually what's putting me off having a second Grin

Naturegirl82 · 05/05/2015 08:29

I'm definitely finding it harder being pregnant this time round. No chance to relax with the whirlwind that is O!

Bad night here last night. O woke at 2.30 and didn't go back to sleep till 5!! She was nice and happy but just didn't want to sleep!

BookTart · 05/05/2015 09:07

Crap night here too. I had to check on P every 2 hours because she had a big fall in the garden and smashed her head. Poor thing howled and howled :( It was the 5th head smash of the day as well!

I just had a call from Mum, asking why I'd just phoned her and hung up. Yep, P can now unlock my phone. We've already had to lock the house phone, now I need a passcode on my mobile as well. Grr!

Naturegirl82 · 05/05/2015 09:13

Haha book O does that as well. Phoned one of the inlaws friends at 8 in the morning once! Grin

Funny as O suffered a huge bang to the head just before bed time last night. Complete face plant onto her forehead as she was climbing in and out of the dogs bed (which I think she thinks is a little sofa just for her!). Doesn't look bad this morning though thankfully as I was expecting a proper egg on her head.

FelixFelix · 05/05/2015 09:20

Oh no sorry you both had a rubbish night! And banged heads Sad

Swannykazoo · 05/05/2015 09:49

More rubbish nights- teething again last night - come on you 4th molar damn you.
Another TTC -er her but the crazy extent of my bfing at the minute means still no period so its perhaps pointless. I'd love another one soon as I don't want a huge gap but hey ho.
H is very very funny at the minute though -so much more fun than a teeny tiny screamy baby (and even that was tonnes more fun than being a pregnant hippo lady)

GunShotResidue · 05/05/2015 10:24

I hope tonight is better and none of them have any accidents today!

We're ditching contraception in 8 weeks, as my degree will be over by then and DH is away for most of February next year so I'd like to be 37 weeks at most at the beginning of march.

L's still got 9 teeth. She's such a wonky baby.

TobyLerone · 05/05/2015 10:37

M's only got 6 teeth still. And not walking.

FelixFelix · 05/05/2015 10:45

Same here Toby. 5 teeth and still no walking Sad

Naturegirl82 · 05/05/2015 10:50

12 teeth here now and the weirdo has been walking for what seems like forever!!

Puggle I conceived whilst still bf through the night and expressing at work and my periods hadn't returned (hence the shock with the bfp!!) plus I have PCOS, and we weren't actively ttc so dtd was not high on the list of priorities so it might happen for you! Grin

TobyLerone · 05/05/2015 12:17

How's P today, book?

BookTart · 05/05/2015 15:49

She's seriously whiny and clingy toby Grin She was sick earlier, which is seriously rare, so obviously I am teetering on the brink of full-on panic. Hooray for postnatal anxiety. She just about managed 2 hours in the creche, but they said she cried for the last half hour on and off. She's napping again now, as she's back on two naps a day. Sigh. Is it too early for gin?

Angelesque · 06/05/2015 00:42

Impressed with you TTCers! DH is so besotted with F he would have had me up the spout with no. 2 months ago, but I'm def not ready yet. Want to get another year at in at work to solidify my position and then think about it. Would be mid-thirties by then, which the media informs me means I will never have more children, but screw them. We're SO lucky to have F, and if we have another it's a bonus.

Angelesque · 06/05/2015 00:49

Just had weird sleep training exp with F... So, he has slept through most nights since he was 11 weeks cowers from shower of flaming arrows. However... His 12 month jabs, combined with a nasty dose of H, F and M put paid to that - he hasn't slept through in two months. Wakes up a couple of times in the night wailing, every night, so in our bed, every night.

I am on a rare night of staying up far too late and catching up on recorded TV (Stranger on a Bridge and The C Word, anyone?) and so am on it in terms of hearing him stir.

He just woke up crying, and by the time I got upstairs he was standing in his cot screaming - but crucially it had only been for 30-45 secs. All I did was hug him through the cot bars, tell him it was all okay - and he went down like the BGT people "hypnotised" by the dog.

Is it just about catching the crying early enough? Tonight it was clearly just that he was a little boy who was scared cause he woke up and it was dark...

Swannykazoo · 06/05/2015 08:01

Cheers Nature - its good to hear that it might happen!

Flipping no idea about sleep training angel but hey if it works...

alteredimages · 06/05/2015 11:44

Hope P is feeling better book. That sounds miserable. Sad

N has been napping twice again recently and then staying up all night. It's fun. How do you stop a tired toddler from sleeping? MIL insists I just shouldn't let him nap. As if we have a say in the matter. Smile

No idea about sleep training angel, because N is nowhere near trained and I've given up on his almost 5 year old sister. He slept through from six weeks but has been waking around 4am lately. I just feed him to sleep for an easy life. Blush

alteredimages · 06/05/2015 12:07

I have just been shouted at by DD because I "know nothing about writing at all". Apparently I can't write proper French cursive. She is not quite 5. How am I going to cope when she is in secondary school? Confused She has gone to her room and slammed the door so she can do it by herself "proplably".

Swannykazoo · 06/05/2015 12:39

Feeding to sleep is brilliant - glad to hear its not just me!
