Hopefully she will sleep better now!

S is sleeping slightly better at the moment. Only waking once at 11ish and she will have a bit of water in a bottle and go back to sleep until 6.30. I can really tell the difference as I feel much less tired!!

Has anyone got plans this weekend? We are going up to Durham to stay with the in-laws. Forecast to rain all weekend after it's been beautiful this week Hmm

Swannykazoo · 24/04/2015 21:43

Yay for more sleeping. We had a 2 hour nap today. Unheard of. I did about a million things including having some beer in the sun with the local paper.
Sunshine seeker - yes I definitely get the treadmill thing - up / breakfast / clothes / car / nursery/ work /collect / feed / pyjamas / unpack & pack nursery bag / slump in heap with gin and repeat. I'm taking all my annual leave as sanity weeks every 6 weeks or so where I'm doing bugger all other than catching up with a few mums from antenatal and pootling about. This week has been immensely good for arsing about in the sun.

Off to stay with my old boss at the weekend in his cottage on the west coast. (sounds a bit weird when I type it) He's lovely, really looked after me as a trainee and he now lives in London (moved after his wife died) so had said we were welcome to use the cottage - yay. He said he'd show me round which is really kind but I'm now a bit daunted about a whole weekend with a breast obsessed toddler....

TobyLerone · 25/04/2015 02:37

M is the same, puggle. Obsessed. I can't sit down without her climbing on me and asking for milk. It's very wearing.

FelixFelix · 25/04/2015 14:09

Puggle how lovely of your boss! At least you'll have a breast obsessed toddler in a nice location for the weekend Grin

We are up north at the in-laws this weekend. DP has a ticket to go on a 100ft water slide this afternoon like the one they did in Bristol last year, but it's pissing it down. I'm not looking forward to standing in the rain with S in the pram. She's currently asleep on me which she hasn't done since she was a tiny baby!

TobyLerone · 26/04/2015 09:30

Hope you manage to wrangle the child/dog/crowds ok today, nature! And good luck to your DH. I always think anyone who completes a marathon is a legend.

FelixFelix · 26/04/2015 11:20

Good luck to your DH nature.

I think S has got chickenpox Sad a boy she plays with at playgroup has just had it but she hasn't seen him for 2 weeks so thought she might be ok. Had a temperature yesterday and has been really clingy and a bit off, and is covered in spots today. Poor little thing!

TobyLerone · 26/04/2015 12:38

Boo. Poor S.

alteredimages · 26/04/2015 17:31

Oh no Felix Sad. Hope she feels better soon and it is mild. Is she itchy at all? I got strangely nostalgic when you said that it was pissing it down. I miss the rain!

Hope you and your family have had a good day nature.

puggle N isn't too fussed unless he is I'll but DD is still obsessed with my breasts. Blush. She is 4 and at school but her dearest wish is to be a baby again.

alteredimages · 26/04/2015 17:31

I'll=ill

Swannykazoo · 26/04/2015 21:20

Boo for chickenpox Felix - hope its not too miserable.
Had a lovely weekend even though my child appears to have given up on solid food apart from biscuits and is existing on milk alone. Sigh! Glad I'm not alone Toby and Altered.
Routine (well my vague muddling) has gone to shit, and am a bit worried about how my slack parenting has led to my child being apparently the faddiest eater in the world etc Back to nursery next week too.

I'm going to try and see if I can post a picture of this cottage as it is drop dead amazing........never tried to upload a pic before (its a google image rather than a photo as it was sleeting like crazy all day)

Swannykazoo · 26/04/2015 21:21

It worked!

FelixFelix · 26/04/2015 22:18

Oh wow Puggle that looks like a postcard!

I'm not sure if it is pox or not. She was super clingy yesterday and kept going really hot, then today she's come out in small red spots all over but they aren't blistered, and still has a temp. They were bad this morning then after her nap they had gone down a bit, then came back bad again and now they have gone down! Any ideas what it could be? One of the boys she plays with at play group had it last week and she was sharing biscuits with him (or stealing them half-eaten from his hand) so I thought she might get it.

Naturegirl82 · 27/04/2015 09:39

Thanks for the good luck messages fod DH. He finished and is now a very proud owner of a finishers medal Smile. Day was exhausting for me but the dog and O were so well behaved, and the stroller was a godsend. Crowds weren't bad at all and there was enough people to carry it up and down stairs at tube stations so all worked out really well. Utterly exhausted today though Sad

GunShotResidue · 27/04/2015 11:43

Congrats to your DH Nature! I'm glad the crowds weren't too bad.

Felix it sounds a bit like what L had. Looked like the start of chicken pox but didn't blister and instead kept fading then coming out stronger. She started getting better around the same time and the doctor said it was probably a post viral rash. He also said he would rather see 100 rashes that were nothing and not miss one that was, so it might be worth getting checked? Or he might have just been reassuring me that I hasn't wasted his time!

FelixFelix · 27/04/2015 11:55

Glad you managed ok nature.

Thanks GSR. I think that's what it is now. She's just fallen asleep on the settee and didn't even wake up when I carried her to bed! Poor thing. Hopefully it won't last too long.

alteredimages · 27/04/2015 12:13

puggle you're making me homesick! Stop it! Smile

I haven't been back to Scotland in 6 years, I really hope I can make it back this summer. Won't make it to the Hebrides though, which is where I spent a lot of holidays as a child. I we as convinced I was Katie Morag. I still get put out when I see the programme on CBeebies. She doesn't even look like Katie Morag! And her mum is definitely not Katie Morag's mum.

Glad you had a good day nature, and I don't blame you for being tired! Congratulations to your DH.

Hmm, not sure what that could be Felix but you're right that it doesn't really sound like chickenpox. Hope S feels better soon.

Mythreeknights · 27/04/2015 14:31

Hello all. Congrats to Mr Nature, amazing effort. Well, I am slightly on edge. Had some unexpected bleeding this morning (ongoing) but is about ten days before I am due AF. Feeling slight fatigue, (although just back from weekend in London with ds2 and stressful morning with screaming baby in bank (trying to sort her JISA out) slightly tender boobs and a definite feeling of squiffiness. Cannot have another baby. I know I need to wait a few days to test but I feel I 'just know' that I am pg. anyone else had this and turn out to be a false alarm?

alteredimages · 27/04/2015 18:07

Argh, mythree, how stressful. I am afraid each time I had 'that feeling' I was indeed pregnant.

BookTart · 27/04/2015 20:06

Well done Mr nature! I am always in awe of anyone that runs any distance at all, let alone a marathon!

I hope S perks up soon felix, poor thing.

I've got my fingers crossed for you mythree...

P was finally discharged by the paediatrician this morning as her reflux is under control. I've been told to stop trying her with milk for a bit, and try again in a few months. She warned me that P might never be able to eat dairy though. No cheese, ever Sad She has referred P to have her hearing tested again, and also referred her to the speech therapist because she still isn't babbling enough for her liking and doesn't say "daddy" or anything. I'm pretty sure that she's fine, so if she starts talking before the appointment I can just cancel. The paediatrician was also visibly shocked by the tantrum P threw when I told her she couldn't keep the hospital toys Blush.

GunShotResidue · 27/04/2015 20:29

Book DD throws some impressive tantrums, it's not fun. Is it lactose or cows milk protein she has trouble with?

Listening to L screech. DH is putting her to sleep, he's been taking her nights too so that I can focus on studying. She gets so worked up at bedtime. No idea what to do.

Mythree the month before we conceived I was convinced I was pregnant, but it was a false alarm (we were ttc). I'll keep my fingers crossed too.

BookTart · 27/04/2015 20:49

It is cows' milk protein gsr, so she can't even have lactofree stuff. Other vegan cheese is so grim that I still feel a bit queasy when I think about it. Hopefully she'll grow out of it, although my mum never did and apparently it can run in families. Cheers mum!

I generally find the tantrums really funny, but the people around me tend not to which makes it more stressful. She cries and flaps her hands like a little bird, so it is quite cute really Smile

Angelesque · 27/04/2015 21:43

Oh, the tantrums. F has developed the biggest diva attitude over the last two weeks - it is unbelievable. Throws himself around like an utter drama queen at the drop of a hat. The only thing that stops me from losing it is the fact that it's just so funny.

Mythreeknights · 27/04/2015 21:44

According to the few websites I have seen, implantation bleeding should only be light and pink...mine is fairly ongoing and red....could my period really be ten days early? No idea what is going on but feel emboldened by the fact I shouldn't have needed to change pads if if if it was an implant bleed. Feeling less pg but still a bit freaked out.

Swannykazoo · 27/04/2015 21:55

I'm with you on the no cheese Sad front Book - also the no ice cream when you're out and about Sad
Have you had the chat about the milk ladder for trying them with? Our dietician said she wouldn't bother for 6 months or so as we'd recently had an accidental bit of milk and a reaction(DH was a bit distracted and just put normal milk on H's rice krispies the fool) but I think its malted milk type biscuits ie v v low amount to start then working up - not that you're trying any at the minute but just for future.

Anyone got food strops? Refusing dinner and banging on the biscuit cupboard 10 mins later is the new tantrum in our house. I'm trying very hard to offer one other boring choice other than dinner and not make it A THING if he doesn't eat

Dreamt I was giving birth last night - it was a 12lb baby too so maybe I'm relieved to still be feeding round the clock

GunShotResidue · 27/04/2015 22:05

:( poor P. Is goats stuff an option? Not realy the same I know.

L's woken once already. Between bad sleeping, being clingy during the day and refusing the nap I'm not sure I'll even manage to finish my degree.
