She's a little terror. Got hold of the sudocreme a few hours later and decorated the corner of the living room where her toy box and changing stuff is. Can't leave her for a second!

FelixFelix · 05/03/2015 19:51

MrsG GrinGrinGrin That reminds me of a picture I saw on fb once of a toddler that had smeared sudocrem all over the front of a flat screen telly.

alteredimages · 07/03/2015 02:29

MrsG, L sounds like a real handful! Very funny though I suspect less so for you when you have to do the cleaning up.

We are on day 4 of both DCs being ill with viral throat infections kindly provided by DH. DD in particular is still spiking stupid temperatures and I am fed up. They seem to be ill for at least a week each month. Can't really see me going back to work until they are 18 at this rate.

N pulls DD's hair and kicks her in his sleep. He does it the minute he wakes up too mind, so DD is really fed up. He also said "one, two, three!" today and oinked when peppa pig came on. He is growing up, and though he is less tiny he is clinging hard to being a bastard.

It is 4.27 am, N is asleep on my chest and pukes every time I put him down and I have just discovered a whole tin of butter biscuits. This isn't going to end well, is it?

TobyLerone · 07/03/2015 05:41

though he is less tiny he is clinging hard to being a bastard.

:o :o I hear you!

I love how clever they're all getting. It's so much fun to watch.

I'm sorry your two are ill again, altered :( M is once more full of snot and we were just saying last night that it had been nice to have a couple of weeks' respite before this round. It feels like she's been ill for the entire winter.

M is also a hair puller and it drives me crazy. I have to watch her like a hawk around other babies. She does it to herself when she's tired so I'm not sure she realises it hurts. Or maybe she's just a bastard.

Enjoy your biscuits!

A whole jar of powdered garlic tipped out and played with like sand yesterday tea-time so I had a very fragrant vampire proof boy last night.

A miracle happened - two evenings of unbroken sleep from 7 -10 - usually its a 45min wake-from 7 till I give up running up and down the stairs and go to bed. It went tits up last night so I can now share (as I knew posting about it would cause the miracle to leave) but it gives me hope that the night wakings may sort themselves out.....

AMillionNameChangesLater · 07/03/2015 16:36

Hi! Henry has conjunctivitis, again, seems he gets it every time he gets a cold. Not so fun!

Dh has had his first appt for the vasectomy, the actual appt will come through soon

Tell me about the constant illness...Little miss NB has had a constant ear infection since Christmas. This week her temperature has yet again been sky high, night of screaming...seemed quite delirious. Managed to get to Thursday before going to the doctors again...managed a whole 7 days away from the doctors...I might as well move in!!! Shes now on her 5th lot of antibiotics for it! Its mad but we just try to survive along with nursery and working full time. This week my diary has been full on...so have been so grateful that my parents have helped out with looking after her! I think i would be getyjng the sack if i take any more time off!!! Any way, having a glass of wine whilst all is quiet! Hope you are all getting a bit of peace and quiet too xxx

bumpiesonamission · 08/03/2015 09:57

Sorry dipping in again.

I thought it was just Z who was constantly ill. Stupidly had to go about his ears on the day the news was all about over use of anti biotics. Was advised neurofen and come back in a week if still bad. Well his eardrum perforated and we ended up in a&e that night! Fecking practice nurse.

He seems to he OK at the moment which means he'll be I'll again tomorrow. But it means his sleep is all over the place again

MrsGSR · 08/03/2015 16:21

Flowers for everyone with ill babies, we've been very lucky, mostly just colds since her water infection (which we're having another test for later this year).

Vampire proof baby made me laugh, I've been hovering every day and the carpet is still full of crumbs. Hoe can something so small cause so much destruction?

firethornuk · 08/03/2015 19:56

Hi all.
Just dropping in for a catch up.
Toby - sorry to hear about your Grandad & your DS's GF's Dad.

Conjunctivitus, Clean the eyes several times a day using cotton wool and water (doesnt have to be cooled boiled water). Make sure you use a fresh piece of cotton wool for each wipe of the eye, and don't use the same piece of cotton wool on the other eye. Also, wipe from the outside of the eye inwards. You can spread the gunk across the eye if you wipe it the other way.

We found zinc & castor oil cream (from the chemist) was good with acidy orangy nappy rash.

My two have pretty terrible coughs at the moment. DS has a temp which I think is teeth related. He has properly started walking over the past 2 weeks. It started as a staggered step towards me, but quickly developed into proper walking now. He is still a little unstable, but he is so pleased with himself :proud:

DD (2 and a half) is having her own issues at the moment, she has turned into a proper little madam, I think half of it is her own grief, but she is really very trying!

FelixFelix · 09/03/2015 18:54

Managed to lose the thread! Confused hope all the ill babies are feeling a bit better.

Firethorn good to hear from you. Thanks for the tip re the nappy rash cream. I'll look out for that. S keeps getting a terrible rash and I keep trying different creams but nothing is working great so far.

Swannykazoo · 11/03/2015 08:42

G'day! Flaming poorly babies - I have a teething snot monster that will only sleep propped up. However DH was sent up when he woke up for the 3rd time in half an hour last night (in shame as my mum had offered to go to settle little puggle) and he settled for him. Hip hip hooray! This has never happened while I've been in the house and to be honest DH rarely tries
I know pillows are v dangerous for teeny tiny babies, when do they start to be ok?

TobyLerone · 11/03/2015 15:00

Can you raise the head end of his cot instead, puggle? We use 2 boxes of Trivial Pursuit :o

Naturegirl82 · 11/03/2015 21:07

puggle we usually put pillows under the mattress to raise the end

Not been on much lately. Finding work, home life and pregnancy all a bit overwhelming and tiring to be honest.

O is sick too. Thrown up twice this afternoon. She has gone to bed fine so will see what the night brings.

Naturegirl82 · 12/03/2015 08:13

Well that went better than I expected. O slept from 6.30 through to 6! She must have been knackered. And she has eaten so much this morning I think she must be ok!

Hope all the other poorly babies are doing well.

Naturegirl82 · 12/03/2015 20:04

Just booked tickets to take O to see in the night garden live Grin I hope she enjoys it.

Angelesque · 12/03/2015 21:18

Better baby here! He seems to be recovering from a) hand foot and mouth, b) thrush, c) 13 months jabs AND d) three molars coming through at once!

nature excellent work! I've booked tickets for us to see The Tale of Mr Tumble in July, ha ha!

BookTart · 12/03/2015 21:58

nature I've been dithering about booking that in case she's too little. DH thinks she won't get it, but I think she'll be blown away by seeing Makka Pakka and the Hahoos Smile

I'm having disasters with naps here. She's finally about to drop one, but she's so overtired by the end of the day that she's back to waking at 5.30 Confused I've decided that the clocks going back will sort that for me so I'm going to leave it for a bit like the coward I am

Currently the most difficult thing is eating though. She is hardly touching her dinner, and tonight insisted on eating it sitting on my lap, with all the chicken going to the cat piece by piece. She now refuses to feed herself in anyway, and I even have to hold her water cup for her! I guess it is just a phase, but it is soooooo annoying! Other than this she's being a darling though. She keeps tucking all her teddies up under blankets and making little cushion and blanket nests for herself and her dolls. So cute!

Naturegirl82 · 12/03/2015 22:07

O still hasn't had her mmr!

book I looked on their website and it looked like there were some younger kids there. It's only an hour so we are going to risk it. We will be taking the new baby as well eek!

Swannykazoo · 13/03/2015 12:18

OMG never mind little puggle I would LOVE to see Makka Pakka live. He's the cutest and best. Every episode of ITNG without much Makka Pakka is a wasted one in my opinion. I may have to briefly step out if there were to be tombliboo music......

Naturegirl82 · 13/03/2015 12:45

I really hope there isn't tombliboo music!

O has the cutest little dance she does when Makka Pakka comes on the tv Grin but her favourite is Upsy Daisy. I was vey clearly directed to book a Ninky Nonk show though as O DH doesn't link the Pinky ponk! Oh my life is so rock 'n' roll!

O was sick again this morning. Which was very strange as she was ok all day yesterday. She seems ok in herself though.

Has everyone else had their MMR jabs now then? We've still not been sent an appointment!

Swannykazoo · 13/03/2015 14:04

Its only in Glasgow. I'm very sad. I wonderd if girls would have a strong preference for Upsy Daisy. I'm not keen myself, (but have never been a girly girl) Would your DH turn down Pinky Ponk juice? I feel it maybe somewhat similar to an inflight GnT ie the best thing ever. Oh dear. I must get a life. (I would also love Makka Pakka style sheets and duvet cover)

Naturegirl82 · 13/03/2015 14:42

Haha puggle. To be honest I have never asked Dh his opinion on Ninky Nonk juice! Grin We are going over to Manchester to see it. It's not far for us and we will probably go early and have a look around the Trafford centre at the same time. It's very strange thinking about it as we could have a new baby as young as 3 weeks with us! Very peculiar!

So we finally have an appointment for O's mmr! She will be 14 months when she finally has it! Only found out as the Dr's sent a text to remind me of an appointment! I think to be reminded of an appointment you have to be told in the first place! No doubt a letter will come through the post at some point!

TobyLerone · 13/03/2015 15:01

I have absolutely no idea what any of you are on about :o

Naturegirl82 · 13/03/2015 15:18

Toby have you not ventured into the world of In the Night Garden? Shock Grin

All that seems to be on our TV these days is, In The Night Garden, Teletubbies, Frozen or Nursery Rhymes!
