Odd but suddenly feel a bit broody. Know I only want 2 for now as we just couldn't afford it but gone from thinking never ever having 3 to thinking maybe later on. Although by the time we can I'll probably be too old!

halestone · 02/01/2015 21:49

Ddas i feel the same way and its hit me suddenly. Dp is not best pleased ha. I have told him i wouldn't do it without his full approval so it looks like its a no.

Stupid app keeps losing my posts.

Hmm

Giving up for now!

MrsNutELFa · 03/01/2015 19:00

Willyoy I know that feeling!

Hales I knew I wanted at least two. I like the idea of three but I am not thinking about it much until next year at least. Smile

I have a horrible cold. Bleurgh. Confused

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 03/01/2015 22:51

I entirely blame the call the midwife Christmas special for any broodiness I may feel.

All the babies on it were gorgeous. And it was so sad!

halestone · 04/01/2015 02:21

Me and Dp have just watched The Inbetweeners but it had the man in the corner of the screen doing Sign Language. We have literally cried laughing yes we're immature, just thought i'd tell you so if your ever down you can have a quick laugh.

It was a sad episode of call the midwife wasn't it. Amazing to think that wasn't so long ago. Understand why some people want home births etc but at same time think we should be so thankful that in the uk we now all have access to medical intervention when needed and society has become so much more accepting of 'non traditional' families.

Ds is driving me mad. He's 4 this summer and everything is a big discussion- always why and it goes back and fro. Sometimes I feel like saying 'you just have to do it because I bloody well said so end of!!'

halestone · 04/01/2015 12:38

Ddas if H asks 'why' Dp asks her 'why not'. That may not work with a 4 year old though. I remember my Dsis asking why loads when we were little and she is very intelligent now.

Nutella, how are you feeling?

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 04/01/2015 12:41

We often say 'why do you think?' Dd started a why phase again quite recently. It's really annoying!

ddas · 04/01/2015 13:33

He just seems to have an answer for everything which then ends with a another question so never ending when you just want to do something quickly!

MrsNutELFa · 04/01/2015 16:02

Hales Thank you for asking. I'm still feeling pretty rough and tired. But we're still non stop with birthdays.

Yesterday was DH's birthday and today all the ILs are here. I'm hiding upstairs trying to get DD to sleep ok I'm on MN I really just want my house back! Why won't they go home? And why are they so loud?!

MrsNutELFa · 04/01/2015 16:03

And thank goodness we don't yet have any "why" questions.
Would be awesome if there were a way to fend them off. I'm guessing distraction or biscuits are best?Smile

PurplePidjingThroughTheSnow · 04/01/2015 18:41

I'm quite a fan of the "Because pink and orange aliens from the planet Quatterdoodle in the far East Penguin Floor Tile division of the galaxy Biffboff think so"

But then I'm a bit odd like that Hmm

ddas · 04/01/2015 20:48

Smile will give that one a go tomorrow.

ddas · 04/01/2015 20:50

Hope you have your house back to yourself nutella and peace has been restored as much as it can be with 2 under 3 (just Smile)

PurplePidjingThroughTheSnow · 04/01/2015 21:05

Works on teens, let me know if it works in littlies too Wink

WLmum · 04/01/2015 21:38

Sometimes we have half an hour of no questions when I just can't take any more! Works quite well with a 4 and 7 yo.

ddas · 05/01/2015 09:22

Oh god the 2 yr old has started.
'Where's ds?'
'In bed'
'Why?'
Luckily given her age my response of because he's still tired was greeted with an 'okay'.
2 sec later
'Where's daddy?' In bed 'why?'

SpottyTeacakes · 05/01/2015 12:00

Ds' new favourite lunch in crackers and roulé mmmm.

I've postponed settling in at nursery until next week.

WL hope you're ok Thanks

ddas · 05/01/2015 12:42

wlmum hope you and your dm get some more answers now Xmas is over and all the normal hospital teams are working.

WLmum · 05/01/2015 14:09

Thanks ladies - apts at st Luke's tom and then st George's on wed so hopefully we'll know more by the end of this week.

halestone · 05/01/2015 15:39

WL i hope the appointments bring good news.

I have been shouty mummy today but H is infuriating. If i say no she does it, if its something she knows she shouldn't do she does it. She has coloured my couch with crayon whilst i was cooking dinner. Shes still full of this cold and hasn't eaten more than a mouthful of food from any meal that shes been given since last monday but has had lots of milk. I am almost at the end of my tether as sleep is very, very interupted.

OP posts:
ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 05/01/2015 19:01

Fingers crossed for you all WL.

DS has dropped his nap. Hasn't had one in a week. He's pure evil between 5 and 7 but God the bedtimes are lovely.

He drinks his milk, flings his arms to either side of his head and he's gone. Bliss!

Barbeasty · 05/01/2015 20:02

Hope it goes well WL

Maybe A could drop his nap. He's still awake now, he was riding the big bath duck. DD is in my bed to separate them.
