Ddas theres 13 months between me and the middle sister and 5 years between me and the youngest. Its quite amazing how close we all are. Although when we row it is quite spectacular, its often forgot quickly. I think thats a good age gap for 3 children.

Ds has settled into a routine for breakfast:

Cup of milk
Readybrek with fruit pureé
Bowl of shredded wheat
Another cup of milk
Walk dd to the school bus
Back home for a slice of toast.

All before 8:30 Shock

We're going out for dinner tonight to chris Evans' pub. I really don't like him. It does nice food though.

ddas · 24/01/2015 15:03

Hungry boy :) love a pub lunch.
hales it'll be a minimum 7/8 year gap for dd and nearly 10 for ds.

Barbeasty · 24/01/2015 21:39

Ddas there's a similar gap between DH and his older siblings (the oldest is 12 years older), then just 3 years between him and his younger brother. They all get on really well. The relationship has had to adjust as the younger two became adults and had families, but it works.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/01/2015 23:13

I am soooooo drunk BlushBlush

WLmum · 25/01/2015 09:59

Haha spotty hope the hangover gods are kind!

SpottyTeacakes · 25/01/2015 10:04

WL they are not! I've had to get sh to take the dc swimming on his own Sad but I've said we will go again next week. I don't feel too bad now but the toddler session at the spectrum is at 8:15 Shock and I wasn't feeling it then! Our alcohol bill was as much as the food bill!

halestone · 25/01/2015 13:07

Spotty hows your hangover? Thanks F is a good eater isn't he we're lucky if H eats that in a day.

I fell asleep on the couch before and was sort of with it as i kept feeling something on my feet and face. When i woke up i was covered in Angelina Ballerina stickers haha.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/01/2015 13:29

Haha Hales that's so funny!

I'm feeling ok still a bit ropey!

It's funny because both dc eat loads but are tiny for their age yet dc I know who are pickers etc are nice and chubby Smile

MrsNutella · 25/01/2015 18:17

Spotty it is odd isn't it, how they can be so different and eat so differently but still grow.

DS eats pretty much everything and anything but is average to slightly small for his age. But then he never stops moving except last week when he was quite ill and feverish so I reckon it gets used that way. DD is quite lazy in comparison and has just decided she would like to try food. She is giant in length and fairly squishy but not that chubby. I would describe her as very solid, my poor baby girl.

I am shattered. I still wish I could pause the kids and take a break. I'm starting to think about when I might give up feeding DD. I still enjoy it; but I think I'm starting to need my body and my freedom back.

Dd1 eats loads and is skinny, poor dd2 eats much less and is solid. Dd1 was a right porker as a baby though. T doesn't eat that much and is quite long and lean but def not skinny.
spotty although we pay dearly for our indulgences, I truly believe the rare nights out are good for our souls!

ddas · 26/01/2015 12:24

Agreed- a good night out does wonders for the soul :)
spotty bet we've both been at toddler swimming at same time at spectrum! We also struggle to make it regularly!

SpottyTeacakes · 26/01/2015 12:33

We're going again next week (I will lay off the Wine the night before Wink) too. It is so early especially as it takes us forty minutes to get there! It was definitely a much needed night out Smile

halestone · 26/01/2015 12:50

I'm off work for 10 whole days now woohoo. Grin

Me and DP are having a night out this weekend i can't wait. I agree with you all nights out are definitely needed occasionally.

Nutella, how are you feeling today? When is your mum next over to visit would you be able to trust her while you go out for some you time?

WLmum · 26/01/2015 22:58

Good for you hales

halestone · 27/01/2015 11:25

My DN is refusing to answer to her name today and will only answer if we call her GinaHmm Anyone else with older DC had this and if so how long does it last. I have been shouted at alot todayWink

OP posts:
Barbeasty · 27/01/2015 12:18

DD did that Hales, along with having all sorts of imaginary friends. She spent quite a while insisting she was Lilly Allen.

I think in total it lated a year or so, on and off. And always with the same new name either!

DeladionInch · 27/01/2015 12:51

Friend of mine's 3yo has made up names for his whole family. To the point their 1yo answers to that name as much as his own...

halestone · 27/01/2015 14:41

I love the Lillie Alan name and Delad i love a one year old answering to a new name. I'm hoping shes forgot when i pick her up from nursery.

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 27/01/2015 16:19

Dd keeps telling dh mark ronson is behind him Hmm

Ds isn't well complaining or earache, cough, cold, temp and was just sick.

I want to pull him out of nursery. He was up in the night with his arms tightly round my neck, cheek squished up against mine, for an hour and he sobbed when I left him to go to work today which he's never done.

I'm feeling mega stressed and a bit tearful which isn't like me. I NEVER cry.

halestone · 27/01/2015 18:34

Spotty Thanks Brew Wine in that order from me. Is it him being ill that makes you want to pull him out of nursery or that he is upset whilst there?

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 27/01/2015 18:40

Him being upset. It just seems so pointless me spending £40 a week only for him to be unhappy!

halestone · 27/01/2015 20:13

How long has he been going? And what do the teachers say? TBH though you know F best so may just be best sticking with your instincts.
