Aww bummer. Onward and upward to next month!

Oh I know it Pear. It's like "mum makes plans and toddler laughs" Hmm

M ended up in our bed last night. Guess which one of us got more sleep than the other?

bringonthetrumpets · 03/06/2015 15:40

Another thought! See! We seriously need a Gemini bus red tent. 3 gals with AF on the bus right now. Crazy!

Lorelei353 · 03/06/2015 16:39

Yeah. And mine came pretty early so maybe I'm syncing to you.

pear Don't worry. I totally understand. I was thinking of you when I was posting earlier to say AF had arrived. I thought you'd be pleased (in a friendly, obviously wish good things for me, but it would've been hard to hear kind of way).

peardrop2 · 03/06/2015 20:35

Bring... Not me. I happily waved goodbye to AF this morning. Told her she could return in approx 23 months Wink

Lor - yup nothing personal at all...would always wish you the best Smile I do actually despise how green TTC makes me...it's not my character at all to be so rahhhh about it all Blush

OP posts:
Lorelei353 · 03/06/2015 23:12

It's totally understandable though and we've all been there. There are smug pregnant women EVERYWHERE when you're ttc.

peardrop2 · 04/06/2015 07:21

Lor - YES! It's like the Smugs are breeding at the moment. Even current mums with 2nd babies in their arms feel like it's OK to look down on me and say are you planning to have another soon? argh!!!

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 04/06/2015 08:28

Uuuuurrrgghh I've been soooo good last week and all through AF and I've put on 1/2 pound!! How is that possible!!! Hmm

Loraline · 04/06/2015 12:37

(quick NC due to potential outage on another thread - silly me Grin )

you should see my office pear Bumps everywhere! Our entire press office, who sit near me, seem to be pregnant or on mat leave.

bringonthetrumpets · 05/06/2015 15:57

Oops Lor!

Nothing too exciting to report from this end. We are in full house-reburb mode over here. I'm painting trim and baseboards all over the house while we are having the outside deck repaired.... because we are totally going to move in a year! We have a timeframe with projects that we know we have to get done so we are all systems go to get our house ready for a quick sale next summer. Feeling a bit bittersweet about it though to be honest. M was born here. We LOVE our house but not the road that it's on- which affects us everyday because of how closely we have to watch the kids while they're outside. Anyway, that's our life at the moment, all things house-related!

Loraline · 05/06/2015 16:06

Sounds busy bring. We're just counting down the days to our trip to Dublin next Thurs. We travel on C's 2nd birthday so my parents are planning a little family party for him on Saturday which will be fun. Just trying to squeeze in seeing all my friends. We're there for quite a few days (Thurs-Tues) but everyone's in work except for the weekend.

peardrop2 · 06/06/2015 15:43

Bring - Sounds very exciting! If not a bit tiring Wink

Ugh I've just painted my nails a colour that I don't like but I don't have time to change it Grin The joys of motherhood Wink

Lot - hope you have a fantastic time. Will you be away on your fertile days? Times well with DH being off!

AGnu · 06/06/2015 22:42

Wow bring, I'm exhausted just thinking about all the things it would take to get our house sell-able!

Have a nice trip Lor! Smile

My SIL had a baby yesterday. Literally born right as I was leaving their area to come home. If she'd have come out just a couple of hours earlier then I could've met her then. Instead it looks like we're going to have to take another trip over there tomorrow. I'm utterly exhausted as it is & would really quite like to spend all day in bed. Thursday I took the boys over to my parents, didn't get to sleep until after both boys had gone to sleep at 00.10 thanks to Calf's hyper-meltdown. Friday we met with my mum's friend who's a developmental psychologist - she agreed with my diagnosis of Calf & said she thought a lot of his issues could be related to a sensory processing disorder & gave me a few tips. We're seeing a HV on Wednesday with a view to getting a referral for a diagnosis & have been recommended to ask for a referral to an occupational therapist & a SALT too, for comprehension & learning to give him time to process information rather than for speech issues. Then today we've had PILs over which always wipes me out without having had a busy few days beforehand. I'm just waiting for DH to stop faffing be ready for bed so I can sleep without worrying that he'll be up all night! Zzzzzzz...

Loraline · 07/06/2015 00:52

Pear, given my short cycle this month then yes, will be away for fertile days. Plus points : dh off work and away, we will go to bed at the same time as each other which is rare. Minus points: staying with my parents so not exactly a turn on for dh!

peardrop2 · 07/06/2015 06:57

Lor - isn't Ireland meant to be lucky and fertile or am I just in the clouds again? (Marley and Me). Would be cool to conceive in your homeland but not so cool under the roof of your parents Wink I've got my mum staying during my fertile period Blush Every month something crops up!

OP posts:
Loraline · 08/06/2015 11:34

The lush Emerald Isle pear Grin . Actually when we were TTC last time around we went on a holiday in Ireland for 10 days, travelling around and staying in lovely, romantic little B&Bs. Hoped DS would be conceived there but it was not to be (he came along the following month).

Loraline · 08/06/2015 11:55

Has anyone moved their little ones into a bed yet? We're considering it. DH is keen but DS sleeps so well in his (quite big) cot. He doesn't really attempt to climb out of it. Also, sometimes he wakes early and will yabber away and play with his toys, or doze again if he's in his cot. I don't want him to wake up at 6.20 and then just get up! We leave him there until 7-ish if we can.

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 12:43

Nooooooooo way! I am hanging onto the joy that bpear is in a cot and not climbing out of it for as long as possible! Why rock the boat? It's not like you need the cot for a second child tomorrow.

OP posts:
Loraline · 08/06/2015 12:56

That's what I thought! It's the same bed, we'd just be changing the sides on it, but he's loads of space and is happy in it at the moment.

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 13:02

Lor, just remind your DH that you have to cherish every good nights sleep before the newborn arrives Wink

OP posts:
AGnu · 08/06/2015 13:25

Runt goes in a bed sometimes. In theory he shares with Calf now & they have bunk beds but in practice they spend about 2 minutes in the same room before Calf starts going hyper & I have to remove Runt back to the cot in our room. He does tend to wander around a bit before eventually settling in bed if Calf's already asleep when we put him in. Otherwise we move him back in when they're both asleep. No problems with him getting up too early though, our DC aren't morning people thankfully! Plus we have a stair gate across their door so they can't wander out!

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 13:32

Forgot to say... We have bpears 2 year assessment on Wednesday. I'm hoping they don't start hounding on me because bpear doesn't talk. Helpful suggestions are welcomed but I don't want to hear "do you read to him everyday?" comments if you know what I mean Wink

OP posts:
Loraline · 08/06/2015 14:46

Oh god, getting him to sleep in a bed would be a nightmare too. We've only just got him used in recent weeks to us not being in the room with him until he falls asleep but it does take him about an hour of messing around. If he could escape, he would!

Did you get a letter inviting you to that assessment pear? We haven't heard anything about C's yet. Hope they don't give you a hard time.

Good idea about reminding DH of possible sleepless nights to come! Wink

peardrop2 · 08/06/2015 15:41

Yes, I got a letter two weeks after his birthday asking me to make an appointment.

OP posts:
Loraline · 08/06/2015 16:54

Ah. Well DS isn't 2 yet so maybe that's why I haven't heard anything. Still can't believe he'll be 2 on Thursday!

kittykatsforever · 09/06/2015 08:40

Lor In out area it's a 2 and a half year check so kitten hasn't had one either, itl be interesting to see f there's any difference, it was rather disappointing last time though as I'd been looking forward to it lol tiger was totally potty trained at hers though even at night and kitten is having non of it, she asks for her nappy on Hmm
